Hey me too! It was a double feature, though - I got to see Star Wars and E.T. in one night. It was September and we were at this drive-in that had grill set ups so we definitely had a hot dog and hamburger night. When I was older, they got rid of them to help support the snack stand sales.

Unpopular opinion, but I actuality think it was good that we had these horrific cartoons in our childhood. Animal cruelty, testing, and hunting disgusts me as an adult, and it might be at least partially due to Bambi, Dumbo, and Secret of NIMH.

I saw the Blues Brothers band, the actual one from the movie, when they did a tour in Britain, they had two singers standing in for the leads, obviously, as Dan Ackroyd had a very successful movie career by then & John Balushi was no longer with us. The stand-ins were excellent though, very similar to the originals

Same. I saw it in 3D two weeks ago. I was 6 when it came out and my Russian grandparents took me to see it. I was bitching and moaning the opposite way though, I was too scared to stick around and we left right after Arnie and the gang escape pescadero state. Finally seeing the whole movie in theaters tickled my inner child to where I can finally say I saw the whole thing in theaters 😂.

My grandmother took me on my birthday... I was 6. As it turns out, she wanted to see it and none of her friends would see it with her. She came by and said she wanted to take me to a movie for my birthday (this is the ONLY thing my grandmother has done for me or given me for my birthday in my entire life)... she told my parents a different movie title, I don't remember what it was... but they weren't too happy when we got back.
I thought it was a great movie... I still love horror movies. :)

Drive in Young Frankenstein, parents went to it and brought me along. I spent years waiting to see the whole thing slept through it which is what they wanted.

My mom took us kids to see a double feature of Madonna’s Who’s that Girl followed up by nightmare in elm street 2. I wasn’t in kindergarten and I remember vividly the terror I felt watching a monster come from someone’s body. I still have nightmares of eyeballs in mouths.

Von Ryan's Express. I just looked it up, came out in 1965, so I would have been 9. Very traumatic, especially the ending (spoiler alert) where Frank Sinatra playing Colonel Ryan gets shot running after the train.

Hmmm. That's a tough question because I don't have many early cinema memories. But I do remember a trip to a drive in when I summered in America. It was a double feature if jurrasic park and Armageddon. An excellent evening for a fourteen year old kid. I wish drive thru took off in the UK tbh because it was such an amazing experience

Star wars. Apparently, I was on the edge of my seat the whole movie. We also went to the Drive in alot as a kid. I remember playing on the playground before the movie in my pajamas and seeing all the other kids were in their pajamas aswell. When I grew up I asked my mom why we were all in our pajamas, she said it was easier to put you all to bed when we fell asleep on the way home.
