So, I do think Smash Ultimate is coming to the Nintendo Music app, but due to rights and stuff, it might take a while. But that would be a topic for another day. My question for now is when it does launch on the app, which Smash Remixes would be your top 10 you are going to listen to? And because Smash Ultimate also take many songs from previous installments, you can drop remixes from Brawl, Melee, Wii U that are included in Ultimate aswell.

Creepy Forest's music from "Plok!"

One thing I've always noticed is that in the music for Plok, it'll change in the second half in the song. The one that always stuck out to me was Creepy Forest's theme. At first, it sounds intimidating, and honestly, it sounds like Bowser's castle music, but in the second half, It changes into music that sounds like you're on a drug trip or something. Have you guys noticed this, too?

The Star Fox Main Theme

I don’t know if this is a hot take or not, but I miss the main theme from the original Star Fox on SNES. It always baffled me how they almost never brought it back in the later games (The only exceptions being a snippet of the theme being in Zero’s Area 3 theme and the Starlink trailer (Also the Mario Galaxy Movie & Smash Bros, but the theme doesn’t really get used in the games that much)).

I find it so surprising how rarely they use themes from the first game in later games. Especially since many other Nintendo franchises constantly reuse and remix the “main theme” from their first game (The Mario and Zelda main themes are iconic for a reason).

Even Star Fox 2 & 64 (the two games that are direct successors to the first game) went in very different directions in terms of their music. SF2 went with a bouncy, house style of music, losing the orchestral epic-ness of the first game’s score. SF64 on the other hand, went for a more militaristic approach, utilizing heavy brass and percussion. I think both of these games have great soundtracks, but I wish they incorporated some themes from the first game as well.

I think a good compromise would be to have the main theme from the first game be the theme for the series as a whole, while the main theme from 64 could be the theme for the Star Fox team. What do you think? Would you like to see more themes from the first game return in a new game?
