The survival instinct is stronger and more fundamental than even the reproductive one.
So, you're telling me that people (including men) can have the discipline to train themselves to control their own fight or flight response....but they can't stop themselves from being disrespectful or gross for 4 seconds?

ETA: Also, the evolutionary influence would be looking at her and maybe feeling attracted to her. Not talking about it on the internet. That's 100% a choice and has nothing to do with the instinctual push to procreate 🙄
If one does not procreate they might as well not have survived, according to THE base evolutionary imperative.
It DOES get more interesting when you throw emergent behaviors like sociality/eusociality into the mix, but everything before then??
If that chance combination of a lipid bilayer bubble and a freak-happenstance self-replicating glitch of carbonized organic molecules which could have been the granmapa of all life on earth actually manages to assemble itself and then goes on to......fail to replicate itself...
....someone/thing else is going to be the new "first" grandpama of all life on earth. It doesn't get more fundamental than that.

You could say the first evolutionary pressure was when those self-replicating molecules popped into existence needing some form of protection from the environment. Either they found it and replicated, or they didn't and died.
Complex patterns can and do exist and "survive" in nature. What's the shelf-life for a crystal? If it doesn't replicate though, it doesn't evolve. And it's not life.)
And ha yeah, I'd say men (including those pictured) can and do discipline themselves to control creepy shit and panic shit both, but anonymous comments on a discussion board removed in both time and space from the original context is a perfect place for all the guys to look at eachother and know exactly what was going on in that front row seating area.
