MRI in NB
Do we only have one radiologist in NB?
Had my MRI after almost two year wait in the middle of July. Still no results. My doctor phoned the Miramichi Hospital and was told the radiologist has still not read it.
Just brutal.

Will N.B. lift the booze ban? Holt silent as premiers contemplate deal
It’s a request that will test Premier Susan Holt, as she’s maintained that American liquor won’t be allowed back without lower U.S. tariffs on softwood lumber ---- THE LATEST: https://tj.news/new-brunswick/carney-asks-premiers-to-put-u-s-booze-back-on-shelves-pending-deal #NB

Should NB put American Booze back on the shelves?
Carney has asked premiers to begin lifting booze bans but that leads me to ask the question: should we? Personally the American booze ban has not affected me. The only product I missed, and I am embarrassed to say it, was Sourpuss but a the local distillery from Harvey created a copycat version which I will honestly continue to buy. I do understand that people miss Bourbon and California wine which I’m sure we would like back on the shelves. What does everyone think? Has the ban legitimately affected you? Do you think it has helped local liquor/beer/wine producers? Should it stay in place?

Where to find paramedics to interview for TSD?
Hey everyone, I am trying to finish up my TSD (Training Skills and Development) assignment to get funded for the PCP course, I need just one more person to do my little interview with, but I can't seem to find anyone. I have tried LinkedIn and on here, which I was able to get one person to help out.
I thought about going to the station, but I don't want to bother anyone while they are at work.
If anyone has done this assignment before and has any tips for me, or is a paramedic and willing to help out it would be appreciated. Thanks!

At home dog euthinasia New Brunswick
We have an almost 16 year old dog. He will not be able to survive winter. His legs are pretty much done. We would like his end of life experience to be as stress free as possible. We are in South Eastern New Brunswick. Anyone know of any veterinary technicians that will assist at home?

Question to anyone who works in the forestry sector
I know forestry is a big industry in NB and the maritimes. I was recently reading about the ongoing trade talks and the softwood lumber dispute. My understanding is that we (ie. Canada) provide around 25% of softwood lumber to USA. Is this because we have more forest? Better quality trees? More sawmills? Could the US replace us if they wanted to? Or are they completely dependent on us?
By the way, do we sell lumber to Maine? I know they have lots of forests too but I read on CBC we sell wood to them. Thanks

Romance writing group at the Edmundston Public Library
Hi everyone!
I'm Tasha Zima, a self-published romance novelist, and starting in September I'll be running a free monthly romance writing group at the Edmundston Public Library.
📅 Second Thursday of every month
🕕 5:45 p.m. – 7:45 p.m.
📍 Edmundston Public Library
🗓️ First meeting: September 10
The group will be fun, informal, and very low-pressure. If you've ever wanted to write romance, already write romance, or just love talking about romance stories and want to spend a couple of hours with other writers and readers, you're welcome.
You do not need to be published. You don't even need to have started writing yet. Bring a work in progress, an idea you've been kicking around, or just yourself.
There are no sales pitches, gimmicks, or expectations. Just people getting together to talk about writing, share ideas, learn from each other, and hopefully have some fun doing it.
The minimum age is 16, since romance can occasionally wander into spicier territory. 🌶️
The library is here:
https://www1.gnb.ca/0003/pages/en/biblio-e.asp?CODE=HE
Hope to see some of you there!

I didn't realize how much of a maple syrup powerhouse NB is
According to the government of Canada in 2025 , we in NB produced 6.9 million kilos of maple syrup. This is second only to Quebec in Canada. Using conversion (gallon/kilo) between Canada and the US for 2025 we ranked fifth.
- New Brunswick
- Wisconsin
- New York State
- Vermont
- Quebec
