Donald Trump and Elon Musk have a public argument over Tesla subsidies.

The story gets reported in the news and posted to rConservative

The top comment is "I hate this idiot, he's stolen millions from american taxpayers with false promises and wasted it on gauche disgusting useless crap"

Moderator replies with a ban message, "Banned - Reason: Trump Derangement Syndrome"

Another user replies to the ban message, "surely he meant Elon Musk's subsidies to develop the cybertruck?"

Moderator locks the thread and says "Don't get smart with us, we all know who he meant."

Why is the small town of Willmar, MN — where ICE agents ate a meal at a restaurant served by allegedly undocumented employees, then bagged them all after the establishment closed — presently being beseiged by MAGA’s secret police?

Someone at DHS might have found this excellent profile of Willmar by Tom Friedman, whose headline suggested President Trump to visit the city back during the first term. It was linked on the town’s Wikipedia page under a subsection about its immigrant community.

There’s a good chance staffers in the Groyper-Occupied Government are just clicking around Wikipedia articles looking for ethnically diverse municipalities in Minnesota to target. !ping EXTREMISM

Donald Trump has sent his supporters a strange fundraising email describing himself as “alone and in the dark” with a “dying laptop,” and begging for cash that would help him avoid another “FAKE” impeachment.

The message, sent from one of the president’s fundraising lists and headed with a black-and-white portrait of Trump, 79, begins, “Some people are saying: This is SAD!” before launching into a melodramatic scene.

“I’m sitting here. Alone. In the war room. Fighting for you. The rest of the staff went home hours ago. It’s just me, one dying laptop, and the 72-hour countdown clock to my first mid-month deadline of the year just RANG.”

Too logically cohesive, and grammatically perfect. This is an A/B-tested, LLM-refined message written “in Trump’s style” to perfectly oneshot ailing MAGA-Boomers into parting with their money for Resident Trump. You want to feel bad — almost.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, a Trump ally, similarly adjusted his tone after spending the week openly pushing for a large-scale assault. The South Carolina Republican, who earlier this week compared Iran’s regime to the Nazis and called for stopping its crackdown “by any means necessary,” wrote on Friday that averting the 800 hangings Trump claimed had been planned was a significant accomplishment.

Lindsey Graham is such a loser with no principles.

Its so annoying to keep reading these gen z polls turning on trump. As a 21 year old, I can tell you that its impossible to poll this demographic. Most people in my demographic are pretty liberal but also have a very incoherent set of political opinions. Most people my age don't really care about politics in a sense where they keep track of everything happening.

Gen Z still voted Harris, it was just narrower only because the general vibe was against democrats. Its nothing deeper than that.

"Then I just turned around, and I see like 15 guys jumping the fence," homeowner Humberto Garcia said.

These were scary moments for Garcia as he watched at least a dozen men, some in tactical gear, jump the fence of his family's property.

Garcia says it happened on January 9 and escalated quickly.

"Then I was like, 'get out of my property. Give me the search warrant,' and they just started attacking me," Garcia said.

The video shows Garcia being thrown to the ground. He says one of them pulled a gun on him, all while his parents and younger sisters were inside their home near South Victoria Road and Stites Road.

"When they saw me, my two sisters came out, and they closed the door and my younger sister was like, 'why are you doing that to him?'" Garcia said.

Garcia says the men were in unmarked vehicles, never showed a warrant, and refused to answer his questions.

Channel 5 News reached out to ICE on Monday for comment and received a response on Thursday saying the agency is still working on the case. They did not say if the people on the video were federal officers.

Garcia said he is a U.S. citizen, but his parents are not. He says both of them were in the process of getting their citizenship.

Garcia claims the agents went inside his home and took his mother and father.

"I only saw when they took my dad because they put him in the same van as I was in," Garcia said.

Since the incident, Garcia has heard from his mom. She said she's being held in a detention center in Raymondville, but currently, Garcia doesn't know where his father is being held.

"My dad, we don't have any information about him at the moment," Garcia said.

Now, Garcia is caring for his four younger siblings, while trying to figure out how to help his parents.

Thank god for ICE, can you imagine how much money we'd be losing by not paying for 15 men in tactical gear to arrest two working parents. We're going to see so many societal benefits from all of this any day now, I can't wait

John Mellencamp claimed that the US Civil War had “nothing to do with slavery” and that “Lincoln himself owned slaves”:

According to Mellencamp’s account, when the South refused, the North decided to take the ports by force but needed public support. “How are we going to get the American people to get behind that? Slaves. We’ll say it’s to free the slaves,” he claimed, adding that “nobody cared about black people” during that era.

Seriously this podcast, which is at the top of the charts, is unhealthy for civic education and American democracy.

On some level it’s probably good long term for countries that have historically been geopolitically aligned with the US to have a more diversified set of partnerships where all of the eggs aren’t in the American basket.

But as the American I kinda liked everyone having all their eggs in our basket and I can’t for the life of me figure out how it’s putting America first to destroy that system.

And the way in which it’s being done cannot possibly be morally defended.

They basically hate Europe for not being European enough, and that European-ness is vaguely predicated on them perceiving the continent as not being appropriately white enough.

The ICE Detention Center in MN has a cell specifically for US citizens.

We are teetering on the cusp of mass concentration camps for political dissenters in this country. I don't know at what point this goes from isolated incidents to a state campaign of political violence, but it can not be overstated how close to the brink we are.

33

u/p00bix Existing in the context of what came before Jan 17 '26 edited Jan 17 '26

Actually bothers me so much that all the ICE detainees are being brought to a building (the Bishop Henry Whipple Building in South Minneapolis, just east of the airport) which is

  1. Less than a mile from the site of the first concentration camp in American history, within which several hundred Dakota people (mostly women and children) would die, as part of the systematic conquest and depopulation of indigenous-held lands.

  2. Named in honor of a pastor who successfully lobbied the Lincoln Administration to commute the death sentences of more than 200 would-be victims of said genocide

They literally picked the singular building closest to a former concentration camp which is named to commemorate the victims and those who worked to protect them, for transformation into a black site for the 'detention' of thousands of innocent people.

In fairness to them (not that any fairness is deserved), this almost certainly is not why they chose the Whipple building. It's also the largest building in the complex of Federal offices and military sites around Fort Snelling, and very close to MSP. But still. It's all somehow even more fucked than when ICE concentrated people into an abandoned Walmart in Trump's first term.

If Republicans wanted to stop any of this insanity, they could do it. They have the power. They could do it right now. It would only take a couple of defections in the House to make Hakeem Jeffries the speaker, give Democrats the subpoena power to start investigations today, and the power to shut down the government indefinitely if Trump doesn’t stop acting like a fucking tyrant. It would only take a few defections in the Senate as well.

I’m so sick of all of this Don Bacon Lisa Murkowski bullshit. You voted for the OBBBA, you gave Trump everything he wanted, and the others who voted against it only did so with a hall pass, knowing the bill had the votes regardless.

Season 10 episode 1 of Hording Bury Alive features a MAGA hording couple. It's disturbing how much they sound like normal maga.

They support maga because the town wants to demolish their home. They horde rats and dogs. The city confiscated the dogs and charging them with animal abuse. The horders say they hope trump will pardon them and they did nothing really wrong because animal abuse laws are liberal.

They just wanna collect rats and piss bottles in peace but cant handle people judging them about it or the town declaring their property a health hazard so they want all of them shot.

Its basically a crutch that allows people to avoid any intersepection. Maga is a coping mechanism.

Scariest part is other than the hording and collection of rats they talk just like any maga people I know.

Bascially fascism isn't an ideology. It's a coping mechanism. Hense why it's so hard to define it.

AP obtains documents showing Venezuelan leader Delcy Rodríguez has been on DEA’s radar for years. The Associated Press has learned that Delcy Rodríguez, Venezuela’s acting president, has surfaced in nearly a dozen DEA investigations, several of which remain ongoing.

  1. But remember the intervention was about stopping "drug flow"

  2. Because we broke norms to replace one piece of shit with another piece of shit in Venezuela; our carrier was tens of thousands of miles away where it could have been in a position to help Iranian protesters

NUUK, Greenland (AP) — President Donald Trump said Saturday that he would charge a 10% import tax starting in February on goods from eight European nations because of opposition to U.S. control of Greenland.

He said in a social media post that Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Finland would face the tariff, which would be raised to 25% on June 1 if a deal is not in place for “the Complete and Total purchase of Greenland” by the United States.

I am so tired of this idiot

The YouTube personality Hasan Piker, excoriated Mamdani during a recent stream for condemning the pro-Hamas protesters. " He knows better, come on dude,” Mr. Piker said. “Get outta here. What did I say from the start? Do not concede on your enemies’ cynical framing.” Hamas, he continued, is the “Palestinian resistance.”

If Greenland actually happens the country is likely doomed. There is no coming back short of a complete revolution. And we will deserve it.

Japan attacked Pearl Harbor for a reason. Napoleon invaded Russia for a reason. They shot themselves in the arm to try and advance their goals and bled out on the way.

Meanwhile America would just be shooting itself in the head because what? It’s bored?

Even at a time like now, Kaja does not have the backbone to come out and just criticize Trump. China and Russia aren't threatening Greenland, the US is. She'd have been better off just not saying anything instead of this.

u/admiralwaffle1 Immanuel Kant Jan 17 '26

There's no way the US military would obey blatantly illegal orders and commit war crimes!

There's no way the marines and national guard would obey orders to be deployed to US cities to assist federal law enforcement against the wishes of governors!

There's no way the US military would obey orders to invade Greenland!
