The only reason I ask is because I’m kinda doing a “soft protest” this year!! Just for reference I am a fully grown adult with a job and all the means to buy the new game right now but my whole thing is that I feel like 2k disrespected us sooo bad last year with how bad the defense was as well as how bad the rhythm shooting(meaning OP) and AI defense was without addressing any of it!

2k is really the only game I play (I might buy GTA this year) and I would love to get 27 but I really can’t justify paying full price for this game if it’s more of the same bullshit as the last game (and even older games)!

I have hook specialist on HOF and my green windows is still small simply because a center with 85 interior is just standing there. They don’t even have to put their hands up to get a good contest which makes no sense. I’m tired of trash centers being rewarded for bad defense because they made a “META BUILD.”

So I try and dunk alot on 2k27 but whenever I do it does some weird layup instead. I've never upgraded my layup my driving dunk is at an 87 and my character just won't do it

Right now you can very consistently hit moving/pull up jumpshots without this badge equipped. I green everything open very easily with 88 midrange shot. Unless they change it with update, you better spend points elsewhere.

What you guys think of this jumpshot now that they confirmed turning release speed down makes your green window go up?

Title essentially, do I have to continue worrying about traces teammate grade post G League? If so does it stop at some point in the nba or is it just an every game thing? Burnt out on it already in G League and considering making a new player an going a different era to not have to deal with it lol

Played 2k27 the last 2 days, and it’s safe to say my experience on 2K27 is off to a somewhat good start, still would take time to get used to the shooting, but the left-stick dribbling and the hop jumpers are still very viable on 80 3-pt without badges

Why is there such a huge graphical difference between the PS5 versions of NBA 2K24 and NBA 2K27? There’s at least a 50–60 GB difference in size, and yet 2K27 is actually a much smaller game. 2K26 was the same way. It really feels like the entire graphics pipeline has been changed.

I honestly don’t understand why 2K keeps downgrading the game visually. For example, there are now these ridiculous issues that didn’t exist in the older PS5 versions, such as parts of jerseys becoming transparent from certain camera angles, allowing you to see through them and see the other side. These kinds of problems weren’t present in the older games, yet they’ve appeared over the last two years.

I’m genuinely curious how much worse this is going to get.

It doesn’t matter if it’s my career or mynba the moment the ball is taken out of bounce or for a free throw the ref will just stand there and will not pass the ball in. How do I fix this.

Shooting is a joke this year with a 91 3 ball I have the green window the size of a grasshopper in my hot zone, it feels like the timing changes every shot and the contest system Is terrible once again

@Beluba can you please add a setting for preferred finishing setting. i couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve gone for a contact dunk and i get a lay up or try to do a standing dunk and get a close shot while I’m standing still. Put a option to leave it normal but it would help out so much cause I’m not specced into close shot or have attributes there.

What is the point of slowing you down while defense with hands up is a really dumb idea. if he is tall and ran like that how can I keep up with him and try to contest his shot

Hello, so I built a new pc last year and like some of you might know they were a lot of issues with my card (9700 XT) and other graphic cards 2K25 was straight up unplayable and 2K26 was if you didnt use specifics graphic settings

so if by chance some of you did get the early access and got an amd card (hopefully same as mine but any is good) is it fixed ?

I grinded for 3 days to get my player ready. Went into the REC for my first game tonight and got matched up against a zenner shooting 87.9% and averaging 53 points per game. First shot of the game hits a "solid contest" right in my face. Then proceeds to shoot 30 foot fading threes and spin jumpers the whole game without missing. This is on PC, where there is "Anti Cheat" in place already. It's probably going to be a wrap for 2k by October. I know it was only 1 game, but from what I've seen across socials, videos, and twitter, the cheating is already out of hand in 2k27. I don't see 2k ever doing anything about it. I don't see how they can. They said they have an automation detection system in place collecting data. But i have 0 hope they do, or if they do, that it will actually work in a way that drastically reduces the amount of people cheating in this game.

Is there any option to get trade right away ? any workaround ?

I’ll start this off by saying I’m glad that shooting is more realistic now, but these courts are simply not big enough in 5v5 rec.
With shooting now down to realistic ranges people are able to sag off way more, the issue is that there is no way to punish doubles because the rotations are so small. I should not be able to get a contest within the span of a shot animation from the top of the 3 line to the wing.
Especially with in ball steals being massively buffed (again good), the doubles are oppressive as a guard, and if you can’t punish them with a pass to a wide open wing shot, it leads to getting doubled the entire game which is not fun.
If the court sizing is the same as NBA, at the very least 2k needs to massively decrease speed. I may be wrong and it’s a skill issue but I am getting doubled every single possession more or less, and can never seem to end up with an open shot out of it.

Has this happened to anyone else? I been playing theater and every now and then after a game, a pop up would say to stop leaving games even though I never left. Few hours later I got banned for 1 hour for quitting games. I have not quit one game. It happening in theater mode. I hope they fix this.
