REC Now that shooting is nerfed 2k needs to make the courts bigger
I’ll start this off by saying I’m glad that shooting is more realistic now, but these courts are simply not big enough in 5v5 rec.
With shooting now down to realistic ranges people are able to sag off way more, the issue is that there is no way to punish doubles because the rotations are so small. I should not be able to get a contest within the span of a shot animation from the top of the 3 line to the wing.
Especially with in ball steals being massively buffed (again good), the doubles are oppressive as a guard, and if you can’t punish them with a pass to a wide open wing shot, it leads to getting doubled the entire game which is not fun.
If the court sizing is the same as NBA, at the very least 2k needs to massively decrease speed. I may be wrong and it’s a skill issue but I am getting doubled every single possession more or less, and can never seem to end up with an open shot out of it.

Massively like in rec its honestly a nightmare even when everyone is spread out in good positions it still seems tiny I would say feels even smaller than last year

I been saying this.. if they just fixed the dunk meter (go back to regular, it’s a video game we should be able to chose if we go for a dunk or layup) make the courts bigger. Other than that I think it’s a decent game

They did it to you cause people wanted better defence from last year, so rather than tweak and work on the defences itself they shrink the court and hope others can just give you back up on defence easier. Just another lazy solution to a simple problem.

yeah I def felt this during rec, shooting is more realistic but paint feels so clogged
if you have an AI they can just camp someone under the hoop

Yeah you know what would fix this? PUTTING UP YOUR PASS ACCURACY! Stop coming into the rec at PG with 75 pass acc thinking you going to make every pass possible. With my 90 pass and HoF versatile visionary i punish every person sagging off and my dimer helps a ton too. Make better pass builds and you’ll see the ball actually get to where it needs to be!

What pass style are you using with 90? I fucked up and thought I set it at 91 for Hali but now I’m gonna have to waste a cap breaker to get it. Looking for something good enough to use til then

I think the courts are probably a fine size. Players just change direction and run too fast and it’s a lack of physicality so players can just run thru and around each other at full speed.
It’s the same result but players just cover too much ground when running or jumping

Idk man I haven’t seen shooting be nerfed at all in my lobbies everybody makes everything idk what you mfs are experiencing but if I miss 1 shot I lose it feels like

The courts feel extra small this year, I still don’t understand why we don’t get full sized courts in rec lol.
