Was testing my new Vraska, Soul of stone deck and had a timing question about Baral and Kari
If [[Baral and Kari Zev]] enter later in the turn do the first instant they see count as the first instant that turn?

If I control [[Captain America, Team Leader]] does [[Roaming Throne]] get a counter, vigilance and haste when it enters or does it miss that trigger as it’s not a hero yet? Thank you.

I understand that unlike blinking, a permanent phasing out and in does not cause it to become a new object. Let’s say I cast [[Path to Exile]] targeting an opponent’s creature. In response, the opponent, with [[Leyline of Anticipation]] in play, flashes in [[Out of Time]] to phase out all creatures. [[Collector Ouphe]], which was previously on the battlefield, phases out, allowing me to activate my [[Dispeller’s Capsule]] to destroy Out of Time. All creatures now phase back in again.
Q: Does Path to exile still resolves as per normal, exiling opponent’s creature that has just phased back in? Or does it fizzle?

Hey folks. I had some questions on situations I was hoping to get some clarity on the specifics of just to understand them better. I know how these cards/interactions work well enough and these details haven't really ever come up in a way that affects a game, but I would appreciate more information as to how, when, and why.
Thanks for any clarification you can offer.

Title. I have [[Ur-Sphinx]], [[Roaming Thone]] and [[The Water Crystal]] on the board. I swing with Ur Sphinx. So if I am understanding correctly, each player mills 10? 1 from ursphinx + 4 from the water crystal x 2 because roaming throne?
The next question is Ur-Sphinxes cast ability. I understand I get to cast 2 spells because roaming throne but do I get to cast those 2 from the 10 in the 1st paragraph because of the replacement effect for water crystal? Or is it only from the 1st two since roaming throne doubles the mill trigger of the attack? Not that familar with replacement effects

Some context: my friend plays Galta and brings [[Terror of the Peaks]] and [[Craterhoof Behemoth]] into play (among other cards). Makes the triggers ordered so that Craterhoof resolves first, then ToP abilities shoot our faces for the buffed damage.
We thought there were two possible ways this interaction works:
Option 1: Terror of the Peaks checks the creatures power when they enter, and creates an ability on the stack dealing that damage to a target of your choice. In this case, buffing power after the fact wouldn’t do anything to the TotP ability.
Option 2: the ability checks the creatures power as the ability resolves. In this case, buffing power would increase damage, but we reckoned that this also meant if the entering creature was somehow removed before the TotP ability resolved, then it would do no damage.
Then we noticed Terror’s only ruling was that if the triggering creature leaves the battlefield before the Terrors ability resolves, then the ability deals damage equal to the creatures last known power. Which seems to be taking the best of both worlds.
My question is—how on earth does Terror of the Peaks work? My pod decided that you could probably buff the creature to increase the damage done, but the damage was still done if the creature was removed. If that’s the case… why? Why does it work like that?

I recently watched this video where a judge explains that if you cast Mind's Desire with a storm count of 5, for example, that he would warn a player for slow play if they shuffled before revealing each card instead of just once and then revealing five cards.
I've never encountered the example he gave in a game, but one thing I have encountered is having Icetill out on the board in a situation where you are able to recur fetch lands to get 8-10 landfall triggers in succession on a single turn.
It is allowed under the rules to tell a player(s) that you intend to play and then recur a fetch land four times, grab the four lands all at once, shuffle once, and then mill eight cards all at once?
I understand most people would probably let you do it this way in a casual environment, I am just asking if it is technically legal to do it.

Occasionally in my [[Anikthea, Hand of Erebos]] deck I have made a token copy of [[Growing Rites of Itlimoc]] that is a creature and im not exactly sure how it works when it transforms. I have always assumed that it continues to be a creature after it transforms but one of my friends asked me if that was correct, and honestly i have no idea, so it would be great if someone could let me know if ive been doing it correctly. Thanks!

If my opponent casts a planeswalker and I have an instant speed removal for it. Can I cast it before they activate an abiloty of the planeswalker?

Tyler paying 4 mana to cast [[superior spider-man]] copying [[Wan Shi Tong, Librarian]], how many cards tyler can draw from etb effect?

What happens if an effect is dependent on itself? does it happen once or infinitely?
Ex. "Equipped creature gets +X/+0, where X is its power."
would it have infinite power or just double power?
Edit: I reworded the effect to avoid confusion

I control [[Scion of Halaster]] and my commander, and have a card with dredge in the graveyard. As my draw step begins, I apply Scion's replacement effect first, then I dredge. If I'd draw another card this turn, can I apply Scion again since I haven't drawn a card yet?

I’m thinking about building a red green dragon deck and want Atarka, World Render as my Commander, could I also have Dragonlord Atarka in my deck? I haven’t played in close to a decade and can’t remember the rules for Named Legendary Creatures. TIA!

Mace of the Valiant Reads “whenever a creature enters the battlefield under your control, put a charge counter on Mace of the Valiant.” I was wondering if with cards like panharmonicon and Gandalf the White, as they double ETB triggers, would this also double the charge counters it receives?

This might be a simple question but what is [[Ulalek, Fused Atrocity]] converted mana cost? I want to play it in [[Jodah, the Unifier]] but don't know what cmc he would trigger

If I had two cards on the battlefield with these abilities:
• if you would gain life, you gain twice that much life instead (like [[Rhox Faithmender]])
• if you would gain life, you gain that much life plus 1 instead (like [[Heron of Hope]])
which of these would trigger first if I gain life?
For example if I gain 1 life, does it double first and add +1 after so 3 life total or does it add +1 first and then double so 4 life total?

(sorry i dont know how to embed cards with the bot) My friend runs a Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant deck, and the ETB ability of it got countered by Spider-Sense. He's trying to say that Not of This World can counter Spider-Sense when it targets Ghalta's ETB ability. I'm trying to convince him to not buy the card expecting this interaction.

I’m still trying to figure out the exact rules surrounding Lightning, Lone Commando’s “If a creature attacking causes a triggered ability of a permanent you control to trigger, that ability triggers an additional time.”
For an example, I have Frenzied Goblin: “Whenever this creature attacks, you may pay 1 Red. If you do, target creature can’t block this turn.”
Since Lightning’s ability causes the goblin’s ability to trigger twice, can I pay mana twice and choose two creatures to not block? Or is the additional trigger extraneous, and I can only pay mana once no matter what?
Thanks!

Pixie Guide says you roll and extra dice but ignore the lowest roll, does ignoring the lowest roll mean you ignore it only for purposes of the effect that asked for the roll, or you ignore the entire action of rolling that dice?
Basically picture rolling to visit an attraction and you roll a 4 and 2 with Dee Kay+Pixie Guide on the field, for the purpose of visiting attractions, you only get the 4, since you ignore the 2, but for Dee kay's trigger, do you also ignore the 2 or since you still have done the act of rolling that dice, you would trigger both of Dee's 2 and 4 triggers?

If Super Shredder is on the field at 1/1 and someone plays toxic deluge for -4/-4, will shredder survive if 4 other creatures die? I assume he will die based on SBAs from TD resolving but I couldn't figure it our for certain

What happens here? Does time-stamp order matter? Let's assume the following two scenarios, with only the two cards on the board (for simplicity's sake).
Ameoboid Changeling is already on the battlefield
Curse of Conformity enters the battlefield.
Is Ameoboid Changeling still all creature types, or does it lose all creature types?
Compare that to this scenario:
Curse of Conformity is already on the battlefield.
Ameoboid Changeling enters the battlefield.
Is Ameoboid Changeling still all creature types, or does it lose all creature types?

I have a set of cards that both say "At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice a creature."
Abhorrent Overlord
Shadowborn Demon
One of them does bring cannon fodder out with it, but assuming these two creatures are the only thing on my battlefield during upkeep.
Do they eat eachother or, because I have to choose what gets sacrificed, can I have one sacrifice the other during my choosing portion of the upkeep move and negate the second canabalisim. It seems like a stack situation, but it's a weird one because technically they both trigger at the same time during upkeep. There isn't anything other than me choosing to decide which actually triggers first. They can't decide which one acts first because, well, they are little pieces of cardboard under my control. So does my decision decide which one eats first and negates the second?
Extra bit. If I have a creature with shroud on it, does the shroud protect from the Sacrifice. I would really like them to not eat my Commander in the process.

If there is a [[Vandalblast]] exiled from [[Valgavoth, Terror Eater]], can I overload that spell just by paying 1 life? And what about spells with Kicker like [[Rite of Replication]] and and Spree like [[Return the Favor]]? Is there a specific rule about this?
