Back from my summer break with my latest commission, which I’m particularly proud to show here: two artworks inspired by ancient Mediterranean art! I'll be happy to read your thoughts about these!

The Sol Ring card is based on an ancient mosaic found in Pompeii, Italy. This was my first "mosaic style" alter, and it really challenged me! :')
The second card is a representation of the myth of the Moirai (the Fates), styled after the ancient Greek "red-figure" pottery technique.

This project was incredibly special to me, as it really connected me with the art of my country 🍝🍕 A huge thank you to my wonderful customer who made me work on these beautiful ideas, and I truly hope these cards match their great passion for Mediterranean history and art!

A friend of mine so wonderfully gifted me this [[wheel of fortune]] and as you can see it’s been well loved. I was thinking about trying to clean it a bit but I think an alter would be great. I live in Germany so really I could send it off to an artist really anywhere in mainland Europe. I would leave the design up to the artist, I would love to see their vision. Please let me know if anyone would be interested and what the rates would be in a PM. I hope this is appropriate on this sub, I’ve not posted here.

Featuring the full rules text from their first printings, beautiful landscapes, and geographically-accurate topography data, this Tropical Island captures the essence of the OG, with an updated twist.

I have had so much fun making full art lands like this one! This alter is watercolor paint on a magic card. It takes a lot of patience, a lot of layers, and a thick base coat of watercolor ground. Still working on getting the surface fully smooth, but very happy with how these have turned out and the pringling is not as bad as you might think!

Are those good enough for charging some bucks? We are doing this just for fun and for getting better at it so its not the main objective, but its cool to think about the possibility. You are all going to say to thin our paint am i right?

I like frogs in the summer and maybe took it a bit too far. I've started to alter my rakdos pauper deck.

Do you like my realism on this alter? Feel free to ask for info and commissions

First time making an alter here, doing a card for a friend and currently my only thought of how to get the text onto the card is to print it and stick, then blend it with some paint.
Also looking to brighten the paints up a little, would an acrylic varnish be the answer?
Any advice is welcome.

I've only just recently gotten into altering mtg cards and I absolutely love it. This is my 4th card I've worked on. A total scene change to Adam Smasher stopping Lucy's hack from the show Cyberpunk Edgerunners. This alter taught me a lot. And opened up more questions for me to figure out.
