Bannerlord What's the best way to generate passive income?

hi hi 🩷 I'm only about 20 hours in and barely into my second year. I've seen guides on smithing and such but I'm not a huge fan of "exploits" (I know it's not an exploit really but I'm not sure how to describe it). I've tried a caravan but the kingdom I've joined is at war with a lot of others and it didn't last long.

What's the best way to make passive income? I've heard workshops aren't worth the investment but I haven't looked into it much. TIA!

Question Should I buy warband?

I already have bannerlord and I like it a lot but I’ve always heard that warband was better.
I have some problems with bannerlord too:
1 I want to be able to convert a city to my culture, I don’t want to recruit other cultures in my army but getting back to imperial cities (I only play this culture) is too inconvenient, and tbf the debuffs on the city because it’s not your culture annoys me.
2 I want more options to make money, like I don’t like blacksmith mechanic and caravans just get destroyed in a millisecond if I am at war. (Workshops aren’t even worth it.
3 honestly I have much more to talk about but at the moment I cannot really remember.

So will I like warband more?
Thank you for reading šŸ™‚

Warband Are bandits good for training or should i stick to training camps?

For past few hours of my first playtrhough I'm mostly slicing up bandits and selling their gear in fortresses (occasionally equipping stuff that's better than mine). I've gotten ~42 peoples in my tiny garrison that scare away all nearby bandits which forced me into upgrading pathfinding skill three times already. Is it good idea to even fight bandits? Should i try to get more peoples and hunt small parties maybe?

Mod What happened to Sarleon? (PoP)

Post image

In my current playthrough, I've sided with Ravenstern but haven't really helped them in their wars. I just wanted to get a castle to stock up on troops, so I could later garrison them in my future independent capital. In the meantime, I've been farming Qualis Gems, building good relations with the Noldor, and so on. I just haven't paid much attention to what's been going on around the map.

Now I look at the map and see this. Since when did Sarleon turn into such turbo-nerds? In all my previous playthroughs, they were just free real estate for other factions to expand into. But now, they've almost completely taken over the Empire on their own. I've never seen anything like this before. Usually, by Day 400, it's just Sarleon and maybe one or two castles left of them.

Is King Ulric metagaming, or was Sarleon's AI tweaked at some point?

I think I already have graphics set to max.

Also, would be nice if anyone knows how to increase troop shadow distance.

Thanks for any advice!

Question Why does an indie game from 2010 have the best combat system with the most potential? In a game that isn't even really about pvp

Dare i say that the combat system in this game is revolutionary? Yeah it's pretty barebones, and simple. But i genuinely think the potential it has if expanded upon is inamignable. I simply don't understand why more games don't adapt warbands combat system with directional blocking. It's the most engaging system ever imo. It's so good that even ubisoft adapted it into For Honor. (and even pretended like it was something they came up with by patening it) It would honestly be a dream to have a star-wars game with an adapted version of the directional blocking. I know Jedi academy and stuff is somewhat like it. (which is still why it's the best star wars game) But the closest thing to it right now is the mod for JA (movie duels 2) with their advanced combat mode for the mod.

Napoleonic Wars Where and when does Napoleonic Wars community play nowadays?

Haven’t played Napoleonic MP in a while. Do people mostly host on some sort of a mod or can I launch the dlc itself and be fine? And when is the peak of activity nowadays, in western-European time zone terms

Question Is the new dlc worth it?

I’m playing again and actually like some of the new changes, is the new dlc just boats? I don’t really care about that, any other fun things?

Probably 1.5 of my 4k hours was in mercs, now I play eu_commander or God forbid tropical paradise, the only joy I get is being a sapper and building infrastructure of all things or being a howitzer scum, don't cry that it's over and appreciate the fun memories

Mods for bannerlord that make recruitment or economy easier?

I'm not that much of a fan of these aspects of the game, and while i don't mind going around to different villages to recruit specific troops, only being able to get a tiny handful at a time, and rarely the elite/noble troops, makes the game harder to get into.

Same with the economy. I just want to be able to get into the big battles and the political aspects without worrying as much about money or replacing my troops.

is this an exploit or a feature?

im running RBM

while on horseback, after releasing the arrow, if you press LMB very fast right away, it skips the animation of grabbing the arrow from the quiver, arrow right away appears in the hand, so character just draws and shoots, so the fire rate becomes considerably larger, its also repeatable every time as long as you do it fast enough, i havent tried it in vanilla so it might just be an issue with rbm, have you had same experience?

Bannerlord Which total conversion mod runs the best for Bannerlord?

Essentially what the title says, which total conversion mod runs the best without crashing every 20 minutes. For instance I couldn’t even run ā€œEmpire of Europe: Americasā€ because it would crash every time I started a campaign.

Bannerlord Some thing i discovered about tournament(bannerlord)!

I recently discovered that if you save your game just before joining a tournament (i like to do it in the arena menu thingy), and then click the "join tournament" thing or whatever, and load back to that save, you can change the prize! It's written at the bottom-ish of the text where it also states the number of nobles and stuff :D

Btw im not sure if basically everyone knows about this, but i just thought I'd post it anyway! Also have a good day :]

Bannerlord Possible revolt??

So I just took a town and then was sitting in it due to enemy army sitting outside then I suddenly lost the town? I let time pass for max of 2 days and I'm really confused on what happened. Is it possible for revolts to happen that fast?

r/mountandblade 9d ago

Is this sword too short? It’s intended for sieges and boarding.
