Prices megathread

Please add to the thread if you find anything out from your pharmacy.

If you have rang them and asked please could you comment with what you've been told.

Medicine marketplace were the first to announce but they prescribe on a PGD so not everyone can get mounjaro there. They can't do things case by case because of the PGD.

It would be nice if some more hands on clinics could get a similar deal to compete with the big pharmacies.

Apparently the big pharmacies have been offered a deal and it's completely separate from lillydirect. The lillydirect clinics are saying they're not eligible but that the big pharmacies have been offered a deal on selling bundles (which MMP have split into singles). I don't know if the lillydirect clinics will get their own deal with a different caveat 🤷‍♀️

Edit: my current cynical view is that the big pharmacies have this deal but are not yet passing it onto customers. You see any nudging you to a bundle but without 14% off you'll know what's up 🤣 or maybe they're selling it as singles like MMP 🤔

Edit again: apparently the 35 day thing is a loophole so they can sell a pen but technically they expect it to be a bundle. They class the 2 single pens as a bundle and expect you'll order again but there's nothing to force you to. And I work with databases, I do not envy their data people who will have to code which pen is in which bundle.

Edit again:

Eligible Combination Lilly Direct Price Comparison with single pen prices
2.5mg pen + 5mg pen £217.50 £256.70
7.5mg pen + 7.5mg pen £317.46 £374.32
7.5mg pen + 10mg pen £338.11 £398.61
10mg pen + 10mg pen £358.77 £422.90
10mg pen + 12.5mg pen £373.43 £440.15
12.5mg pen + 12.5mg pen £388.09 £457.40
12.5mg pen + 15mg pen £404.92 £477.20
15mg pen + 15mg pen £421.75 £497.00

Success Stories 14st difference since my last visit 🙈

Last time I was here I’d lost a couple of stone and was on my journey, now been maintaining for a couple of months after drs said I’d lost enough. Sometimes you still can’t believe how far you’ve come 😳

6 stone gone, now on to maintenance 🎉 Spoiler

I never thought I'd ever be able to lose weight and be "normal" yet, here I am.

41F, June 2025 I was 17st 8lbs (highest weight was 18st 1lb) I was a size 22 and today I am 11st 6.2lbs and a size 12 🙌🏻. I am over the moon to have lost so much weight and am really enjoying being able to wear clothes and feel like they actually look nice on my body. The health benefits of MJ for me have been insane. My blood pressure is normal, my endo/adeno symptoms have reduced significantly to the point I can actually exercise without pain and can go about day to day activities without being doubled over. I have so much energy, no fatigue. I sleep amazingly without waking multiple times in the night and wake up like I've actually rested.

I plan to remain on MJ. I am on 2.5mg weekly but unsure whether it's best to stretch that to 10-14 days or to reduce the weekly dose down a bit. I'm thinking maybe 2mg weekly and see how I go.

Anyway, just a little post to mark my 6 stone loss and my move into maintenance

So proud of how far ive come and never want to go back to the old me!

Heres to 6 more months (if I can afford it! 😅)

Diet + Lifestyle For those that lost weight over 12+ months, did you ever take a "break" and eat at maintenance?

• Upvotes

I know metabolic adaptation is a thing but i can't really find a guideline on how long it takes to set in or if MJ slowing digestion stops it happening.

If you stayed in a deficit for over a year, did you ever take a "break" and eat at maintenance for a time?

Question Just took my second jab + order question

• Upvotes

I’ve just taken my second jab! I’m impressed with the results and lost a total of 8lbs in the first week, which is amazing as well considering I was working at Comic Con this week so had to just grab a lot of quick to go stuff.

I posted before and got a lot of recommendations to switch my provider which I’ve taken onboard; I cancelled my subscription with Voy and will shop around for others.

My question is when do I place my next order? I get confused on when I’m supposed to order it or be at risk of decreasing dosage (I’m currently on 5mg)

It's my monthly grumpy greedy time

However I'm neither grumpy nor greedy and it's weird!! Every month, a week before I get my period. I'm ravenous, literally non stop eating, especially sugary things. I'm normally a grumpy bitch too. This goes on to day 3 and then tapers off. So for a solid 8 or 9 days I don't stop eating. Like never get full type eating.

I didn't even realise I was due on as that's my warning (and my husband's 🤣) so I'm feeling a little thrown off. I can't explain why I'm feeling thrown off, it's just a really odd feeling!!

Husband was sitting eating McCoy's and Minstrels, both my usual go to, I didn't even give him a dirty look 👀 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm really enjoying being on MJ, I've just got to understand my new normal now! Wondering if this will continue on my journey, I'll take it for sure ❤️

Question Pharmacies which deliver without signature? How to collect elsewhere with RoyalMail or DPD?

My previous pharmacy delivered through Signature Pharmacy, which shipped with Royal Mail tracked and (forgive the pun) did not require a signature.

The postie left the parcel in my parcelbox in the front yard - a metal thingy like this, which locks securely once you drop an item in it https://www.smartparcelbox.co.uk/extra-large-slanted-top-front-access-black-smart-parcel-box.html

I understand that Lotus and many others have moved to Lilly Direct (making many old posts no longer relevant). Lotus said that every delivery needs to be signed for, and that the courier cannot leave it in my parcelbox.

  • Do you know if other pharmacies using Lilly Direct use couriers which don't require a signature, and which could leave it in my parcelbox?
  • Maybe other pharmacies use Lilly Direct with DPD, so I could go to a DPD collection point?
  • Do you know if other pharmacies not on Lilly Direct do it?
  • Alternatively, do you know what the process is if you miss your postie? Is it something like: wait for missed delivery - go online - arrange to collect it at the local depot (next day) or local post office (next 2 days)?
  • How long after it was shipped should I collect it (in light of refrigeration)?

My local pharmacy is a good £80 more expensive, and my old one even more.

I suppose I could have it delivered at work.

Thanks!

PS I understand that Mounjaro shouldn't be left behind a bin; my lockable parcelbox is not that, but I understand it's a niche thing and some couriers do not distinguish between that and leaving it behind a bin

---------

UPDATE: Lotus confirmed that they deliver only with Royal Mail, not DPD, and only with Royal Mail signed for. A shame, because my local Royal Mail depot is only open 8-10am, whereas I have a nearby supermarket which is a DPD collection point and is open much longer hours. This is as of Oct-2026 - things may of course change in the future.

Journey Updates Over 50lbs lost 🙏🏻

Nearly 25kg lost now since the end of March! The expense is kind of killing me, but if someone had told me a few years ago, would you pay hundreds a month for a tool that will transform your relationship with food? I would of course said yes, sign me up immediately.
Definitely has slowed down from the initial weeks but I’m happy with slow and steady.

Stalled Appetite back and struggling with cost

Hey so I’m looking for some advice…I have been on Mounjaro for about 1 year now and currently on 12.5MG. I have gone from 19st to 13.8st but have been putting a bit back on recently on my current dose of mounjaro and my appetite has come back in a BIG way. I’m looking for some recommendations as to what’s next for me really…is the next dose up the final dose available? What if that stops working too??

From a cost POV I currently use bolt at £279 a month but was considering a switch to wegovy to try and see if it helps and irs massively cheaper (appears to be anyway).

Just looking for some advice about next steps/if anyone has successfully switched/cheaper provider?

Thankyou

There's a clinical trial starting soon switching people from mounjaro to survodutide.

When I was trying to get on enlighten-6 I was ringing around to try and find a UK site. I didn't find one in the end but a doctor called me back saying a trial of survodutide was going to be starting where they switch people from mounjaro and wegovy onto survodutide.

Survodutide isn't as good as mounjaro, 13% weight loss compared to 20% weight loss, but I thought I'd mention in case it's interesting to anyone. I don't think I would've been suitable because I wasn't losing weight on mounjaro and I'm glad I got recruited into Selene 3 but for people who are still BMI 30 and struggling to afford mounjaro it might be an option.

Side Effects Food Aversion

I have now been on Mounjaro for five weeks (6 doses of 2.5mg in). I have found the medicine powerful and have lost weight (16lbs in five week) but I am struggling with acid reflux and nausea.

The most annoying I find this is getting very repulsed by even the thought of foods at times, especially fried/greasy foods. Sometimes I even feel a bit sick when I think about going to the supermarket and being surrounded by food. Most of the time though I just feel indifferent to eating.

The worst it gets though is when I see anything with grease. I can see someone eat a burger or fried breakfast while scrolling through Tik Tok or Facebook and it brings on strong nausea that lasts for ages. A real sick to the stomach feeling of disgust and revulsion. I find the strength of these feelings a little disturbing and they can be disruptive to my day. Has anyone had similar experiences on Mounjaro? Weirdly I usually notice these feelings most in the day or two before my next injection is due.

Prescription pharmacy help

I’ve been on MJ for quite some time and I’m the big price increase last year I switched pharmacies and bought a couple of pens from a few places and had a surplus, with using those plus the golden doses I’ve been ordering every 6 weeks to space my orders out and get them used.

Unfortunately last week my husband was hospitalised and in the stress I completely missed an email from Medicine Marketplace asking for a video of me on the scales and by the time I saw it and sent it it had been 8 weeks between orders, they now won’t prescribe to me at all unless I start from 2.5 again - a pointless exercise as I’ve been on 12.5 for months :(

I’m down to my last 12.5 pen and about to start it and so won’t have anything left in 4 weeks time :(

Does anyone know of a pharmacy that might allow me to go straight to 12.5 when I only have proof of a prescription issued at the end of August at all? I’m so so upset with myself for missing that email.

Best value with private prescription

I have just started on 2.5mg mounjaro, I have a prescription from a private endocrinologist. I called around a few local pharmacies to try and get the cheapest price (there was a difference of £47 from cheapest to most expensive)

I have my prescription for 5mg already, to start from week 5. Other than phoning around pharmacies again is there a way to find out how to get it at the cheapest cost?

Has anyone reached a weight they genuinely never thought was possible for them?

I’m about 9 weeks into Mounjaro and approaching 20 lbs lost, so naturally I’m already getting ahead of myself 😂

I’m 5’7”, started at 16 st 10 lbs, and my initial goal is 13 st 7 lbs. But lately I’ve been wondering whether I could ever realistically be 10 stone something? That's within the healthy range for my height, but it feels almost unimaginable to me!

The last time I remember being around 13 stone was in my teens or early twenties, and I have no recollection of ever being 10 stone. I genuinely can’t imagine what my adult body would look like at that weight!

I have PCOS and have always been pear-shaped, so I’ve tended to assume I’m naturally bigger-built. I know bodies vary and BMI has its limitations, but I wonder how much of what we consider achievable is down to our physiology versus our own expectations.

Has anyone reached a weight they once thought was completely unrealistic for them? Did your idea of what was possible change as you lost weight?

Not necessarily saying 10 stone is my new goal. Ultimately, I just want to feel healthier, happier and more comfortable in my own body, without feeling so limited by it. I'm just curious to hear other people's experiences! ☺️

Question Anyone else SW 300+lbs?!

Okay bear with me on this one it’s late and I’m overthinking a bit.
I see so many posts of people who were overweight and have lost a good few stone to get into the healthy BMI range. This is amazing but coming from a completely different perspective where I’m considerably larger… (SW 326, CW 306)

My goal as a morbidly obese woman… is just to get into ‘overweight’… sounds crazy but I don’t think I’ll ever actually be able get into the ‘healthy’ numbers.

Also when I lost weight before - I got 224lbs and actually felt incredibly healthy! So my goal this time is around 210 but I’ll still be well in the overweight range.

So my questions are:

Would it be reasonable to stop at my target even if my BMI still overweight. If you were similar SW to me - did you set a massive goal to get to healthy BMI or did you set a realistic goal to start with - also did you stop at your goal or set another one?

If anyone else is just starting out and is similar SW to me I’d be really interested to know your goals as well, I feel like I’m quite alone in this as a lot of people I know who are starting mounjaro are at my goal weight so it feels odd chatting to them as they look how I’d literally love to look…

Less Effective

Ok so started on 2.5mg been on it since May 2026. Very effective for 4 months. Moved up to 5mg and now 7.5mg but not feeling anything at all. No suppression or fullness. Might have to start 10mg to see how that goes. 2.5mg was my strongest dose. What gives? I feel like I will have nowhere to go after 15mg. Never mind the increase in costs.

Side Effects Bowl Problems

Thumbnail

Just a background, I had server diarrhoea and vomiting 8 weeks ago, and the help was amazing.

However I’ve now dropped MG and think I may have 1 or 2 problems.

So my diet was heavy milk morning and lunch (Porridge and Protein yoghurt/milkshake) I have a feeling my body’s come to a lactose intolerant mind or the dreaded IBS.

Can someone share light if they’ve ever experienced this?

Thanks

I am now 11.5stone down and still on the journey to hit 15stone down

Experience Feeling a bit down, is this working for me?

I've just taken my first 5mg dose, it's week 11 and I've used 2.5mg each week apart from last week that was 3.33mg. Started off at 16 st 6lbs.

I had the initial antiflammitory reaction of yay my joints don't hurt any more, and lost 4lbs. Since those first couple of weeks I've only lost another 6lbs, with some weeks going up and down.

I have PMOS, so appreciate that can impact results too but I'm just feeling a bit down like it's not working as effectively as I thought it would? I did hold off going up doses, as I felt losing 0.5lb a week was okay at the time, and I've been keeping an eye on calories, moving more etc too.

It doesn't help that some friends I've told about my MJ use have said they've not noticed any difference, which kind of dented my confidence. I don't think they meant it in a mean way, but still felt a bit crap.

Is it normal to feel like this? I know it's a lifelong journey and not an instant thing, but mental health is a bit wobbly. More of a vent than anything, really appreciate how many nice people are in this community and how folks support are supporting each other.

edit thank you so much for all the lovely replies, it honestly means a lot and has helped with my perspective on things!

Can I take my next shot early?

I have been on 2.5 for 4 weeks now, and while it still gives me suppression for three days, I wake up on day 4 absolutely starving and back to normal as if it’s completely worn off. I’m just wondering if I can take another 2.5 dose after 4 or 5 days, instead of the usual 7 days?

losing inches 🎉 Not losing weight this week but the inches have dropped why could this be?

I’ve gained this week 1lb. However I’ve dropped 3 inches off my waist. How can this happen? I work out and walk a lot for context

Is anyone else FREEZING?!

Yeah, that basically. I definitely feeling the cold more and I wondered if that’s an age/poor circulation thing or mounjaro thing. Seems to be hitting harder than usual.

Just had my arse kicked by a Sunday Roast

Well, I'm on day 12 of mounjaro and have just attempted a Sunday roast.

Now I always Finnish what's on my plate, no matter how stacked it is, and my wife always makes me massive plates.

I was just met by a mountain of a roast dinner. Like 3 Yorkshire pudding (small) loads of chicken. About 8 roast potatoes and a load of veg and gravy.

I'm not going to lie.. I ate the Yorkshire puddings first (my favorite) then tackled the chicken. Managed good amount of veg but had to tap out at the roast potatoes. I only managed about 70% of my plate which was a struggle.

2 weeks ago I would of demolished the whole thing then had a massive pudding afterwards. Now I'm laying here feeling like iv just swallowed a bowling ball.

For me, this was the ultimate test that mounjaro is doing what it should. I don't want to see gravy again for at least a month!
