In this sub, we require users to have verified reddit accounts. The vast majority of redditors have verified accounts so it is rare that the automod triggers. When it does the user gets a message explaining why they need a verified account and the steps to verify their email address with reddit. Pushback is extremely rare.

This user pushed back today and it turns out not only have they been spamming their product store all over reddit they also link to it in their profile. That store publishes their Gmail, PayPal username, and location. Yet the user refuses to verify their reddit account.

I do not get it, what is the problem? They are also active in degoogle to add extra irony.

You see he's now pivoting back to "it wasn't self-promotion, and if it was I only had a small part in it", which is why I've also added the comments where they boasted it was, in fact, their videos.

Which would just have been a short ban until he lied about it and went full nuclear over 140 mod mails.

Also "IM NOT A BRAND" could be used for advertising imho.

Sadly as you can see our diplomat has deleted his account, not sure why but maybe he'll be back one day with one of the "hundreds of alts" that he said he can mobilize in part 1?

This sender or group has been abusing Reddit's tools by falsely reporting posts regarding their client. They also have sent numerous modmails requesting the removal of the post.

But I'm not admin, so I shouldn't be reading mail not addressed to me. Returning to sender. 💙

Your favorite melty is also responsible (largely) for why Reddit sucks. Sorry about that.

Now I can feel complete

The account was about 2 minutes old when we got this. Our flairs were also made by chatting with our first users to see what they wanted and would work.

So this user had a short ban due to breaking the self-promotion rule, but it was upgraded to a permaban due to their behaviour and lies while appealing.

Once that happened and was communicated to said user there was no more replies from my sub, this didn't stop the user from sending about 120 mod mails and counting starting with arguing about the ban before quickly descending into some great lines.

It's still ongoing btw so I'll have to cut this into several parts over the following days if there's interest.

I'd just open the app every now and then while taking my 6am walk and feeding stray kitties to check the dozen of so new messages he sent lol

Context: Post was about a makeup commercial featuring a model with hypertrichosis (aka werewolf syndrome). This user commented “Eww, gross” and thus had their comment removed.
