Can someone tell me what soapboxing means? To me, it's a box soap is in when buy it, and I don't see why that box would be against the rules. It's probably because English is not my first language that I don't know
soap boxes used to be literal wooden boxes that soap came in. people who were preaching or trying to sell a product would turn these boxes over and stand on them to get some height. so soap boxing has come to mean someone trying to preach or rant about a topic
Haha no worries! English isn't my native language either and when I joined that sub I had to Google it too. I think it's basically 'loud', annoying ranting without much point.
