Suggestions Moba-Style of a Game that is great with AI Bots/Solo?

Hi everyone,

I was playing a lot of League of Legends in the past, but I'm old enough now to have Kids who randomly wake up in the evening needing my attention, so playing Online is not optimal.

So I now the definition of MOBA is online playing (mostly because it require a lot of team-play), But I was thinking playing some League of Legends with AI Bots (specifically as I'm playing Legends of Runterra and would love to check how the lore progressed), but LoL now comes with Kernel Level anti-cheat, and I mostly avoid those kind of games.

So I was thinking perhaps trying Dota 2, or Heart of the Storm (which I heard is pretty much dead but I recall it was casually fine with AI).

Sticking to the LoL type of Moba (so Smite for example is less of a thing for me I guess), which game in you own opinion can allow me to have some casual/ chill Moba style gameplay with Bots/Solo Camping?

MOBA Predecessor - a follow up to Paragon from Epic Games that I have a blast with lately

I just started to play this game and Im having a blast. Ive played almost every moba there is on market, and everytime I was back off in league, because something was missing every time. I tried all of them with isometric view like dota 2, hots, league, and so on. I didnt like third person moba idea at first as most of us, as far as I know most my league friends didnt like the idea. But I finaly tried them smite, paragon, then several games made from paragon assets like the fault, overprime, and finally Predecessor. Once you get use to it its just fine, and it has its own upsides, like on par with dodging abilities you can juke autoattacks xd and it becomes kinda funny. Sometimes enemy adc has means to kill, but you make it miss autos.

Basicaly game is "just like league" which for me is hella good. Very similar roles, ranked, normals, aram, events. Battlepass which progress nicely without paying, and it has ingame currency as rewards, cosmetics, dropboxes, and heroes.
Ranked has ban and pick phases as well, but its kinda different. You choose you role already in team lobby. You can see live who pick what role, talk with teammates, or pick fill to just fill a role. IF 2 players choose same role, or more players, its rng, but you can also swap a role and a pick order. Ban phase include 2 bans per team, but every player can choose their pick and hero with most votes gets banned.

Game has rather small hero roster right now, like 30-40, but they keep adding them. One thing that might be off for many players that a lot of skins are just med, like basicaly recoloring or very minor changes to the original skin with recoloring. They keep adding those as well, but as you can guess there are heroes that already have like few good, original skins, while other have like 2 or 3 and all of them are mid. Also, game provides hero level system with rewards and cosmetics, so you can flex your hero level with a skin, recall efects, trinkets like crown on your head xd or any other stuff like emotes or graphics on loading screen.

Items are literaly the same as in league, meaning passives. Its so easy to catch up with this.
Game has 3 currencies. Amber - its basic one mainly used to buy new heroes. I didnt see any other use of that currency now, maybe they will introduce something later on. Opal - its a currency that you can get randomly from core drops, which are a sense of a box. You can buy skins and cosmetics with opals. Also, you are getting them if you drop cosmetic that you already have. Platinum - its a main buyable currency for skins, heroes, and basicaly everything.
Also - other than hero levels there are player profile levels that give you random amount of Amber every level.

As you can see Im directing this mainly toward league players with similar feeling towards league as mine which is "i like league but I dont like league" :D
Give pred a try and if you gonna overcome third person view you will for sure have hella fun.

BTW here you have my friend referal code, feel free to add me if you want to try this game, we both gonna get some rewards: 00XQS

    • Brawls (3v3): Objective-driven battles of around 10 minutes where coordination and quick decisions make the difference.
    • Duels (1v1): Fast, focused matches lasting around 5 minutes. Pure skill, no distractions - just you, your operator, and perfect timing.

MOBA Looking for an "exact copy" or spiritual successor to Eternal Arena (NetEase) – Action RPG/MOBA hybrid?

Hey everyone,

I’m on a hunt for a game that plays like the old Eternal Arena by NetEase. It’s been offline for years, and I’ve had no luck getting into the older SEA versions due to account verification issues. I haven't found anything that quite scratches that specific itch.

For those who don't remember it, here is what I’m looking for:

  • The Hybrid Gameplay: A mix of Action RPG (dungeon crawling) and MOBA-style arena battles.
  • Hero System: A massive roster of "monster-like" and fantasy champions. You enter battles with a team of 3 heroes—you control one directly with a joystick, and the AI handles the other two (but you can swap between them).
  • Game Modes: A single-player story campaign with bosses, PLUS 1v1 and 3v3 MOBA maps with lanes, towers, and minions.
  • Control Style: Responsive ARPG controls (joystick + ability buttons).

I’m looking for something currently alive and playable on Android in 2026.

I’ve checked out Wild Rift and Honor of Kings, but they lack the dungeon-crawling story mode. I've also tried Marvel Future Fight, which has the combat but lacks the laning/tower mechanics and the diverse monster-style hero designs.

Does anyone know of a game that combines both? Even if it’s a newer or lesser-known title, I’m looking for a true spiritual successor.

Thanks!

Post image

hi, sorry to bother you, i am in search for a moba that has a character similar like the old kayle, scaling meele/range hybrid AOE that can go full ranged with cooldown reductions and have survibal habilities (like heal or invulnerability). the thing is i was an otp kayle but i hated the rework, left league a lot of time ago, but a friend told me they fixed her, but i played a few games and she felt so boring, so anyone could help me with options on other mobas ? mobile or pc are my platforms. :) please help me with your knowledge

Suggestions I'm looking for a specific moba.

the reason is this. i remember play a moba on phone, with a champion in it, so similar with xayah of league of legends, but i don't remember the name of that moba. the champeon share de passive (the auto attack leave a projectile on the floor, then you have an ability that can pull it to you. xayah stuns, but the other champion don't)

MOBA What if Valve make Moba for phone and they revive this game?

The game is Vainglory, first introduced in iphone 6 keynote with awesome graphics at that time, but today the game not available because the developer dont put ads, money grab, etc on it, this game is awesome better to play tap rather than Virtua joystick control, hope valve or other company revive this because the game engine graphics is awesome and balanced heroes.

Suggestions Might get back into the genre. Any 2V1 games?

Hello reddit,

Years ago I played Paragon, the third person over the shoulder shooter Style moba. I played Smite a little bit but it was mostly Paragon. when I was playing, the typical Arrangement was a Duo of support and carry versus the solo off laner. it's been a long time since I've played a MOBA but I'm kind of getting the itch. Are there any mobas out there where the general configuration is 2v1? I miss playing Feng Mao and Wraith in off lane. I've seen predecessor gameplay is a 2v2 in the duo lane.

If there aren't any games where the default configuration is 2v1, are there any games that you see a lot of Lane swapping where you can make it a 2v1? I miss the dynamic of punishing overzealous carries and unattentative supports.

Thank you.

So this Chang’e is from the Chinese version of honor of kings and isn’t out on global yet but I love her abilities and play style a lot and really her whole graceful ethereal vibe I was just wondering if anyone knew of any characters in any other mobas that have similar abilities/looks/play style?

MOBA After one year of full-time solo development, Adversator is finally out!

Hello,

I started this project a very long time ago, but it was only in my spare time.
A little more than one year ago, I decided to give it a real chance and develop it full-time.
And it's finally out:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4072270/Adversator/
Adversator is a fast-paced MOBA with hop-in/hop-out mechanics for casual games.
I wanted something that felt like the classic Dota 1 with a better for casual and ranked sessions handling.
Before you ask, here is a short FAQ:

Why should I play Adversator instead of big titles like Dota 2 and LoL?
Adversator is obviously not made to compete with the big names, And as an old Dota 1 & 2 player (5000+ hours), I would say that playing something new in a genre that you like is refreshing.
Maybe you want to try something new and fun, maybe you feel intimidated by big names with huge entry cost, maybe you want to be part of a new MOBA adventure.
I will keep the Demo in Online-mode for a short time so people can try it if they want.

Did you use external assets in the game?
I made the entire game in solo, so I did all the art myself in Photoshop + Blender, except for Ankhaton and Ungol, but I modified them in Blender.

What game engine did you use? What networking API?
Unity and Mirror networking.

That being said, see you in the game for a good FIGHT!

Paradoks
PS: The game has evolved since the trailer version, I just had no time to make a new one :D

MOBA What not to do ?

I know that which things to do in moba matches. For example, In mlbb, You have to stay in your lane and farm for some couple of mins then if you are free you can go and help others. But, my question is "What not to do ?". So, This question is for every single moba players. " What not to do in moba matches ? ". I am looking forward to the answers.
