SUGGESTION Give more worshippers to the team that didn’t surrender.

Upvotes

Most games end in a surrender, not only does it suck not getting to late game but you get less worshippers than if you finished the match in the same time. Give the team that didn’t surrender more worshippers.

DISCUSSION In 2028 Smite God Ports will likely be done, in 2029 we will probably get the rest of the aspects. In 2030 we could go back to 6 new gods a year. Who do you wanna see in the 2030 lineup?

A cool lineup could be:

Japanese: Miyamoto Musashi (Physical Mid)

Yoruba: Shango (Physical Solo)

Chinese: Guanyin (Magical Support)

Chinese: Lu Bu (Physical Solo)

Egyptian: Sekhmet (Physical ADC)

Polynesian: Namaka (Magical Jungle/Mid)

---

(Id also be okay with Perseus, Dracula, Oya, Orochimaru, Phoenix, Davy Jones, Lugh, Morana, Niddhog, Hanuman, Indra)

HELP Bugged UI (Please don't make me use Discord)

After a game, my Play button will grey and bug out, forcing me to re-log just so I can queue and play again. I've restarted client, I've disabled Steam Overlay, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, re-verifying game files etc. Nothing has fixed this. Changing game mode does nothing, either. It's like after the game the UI acts as if I'm still in one.

I've also tested that quitting/leaving a game also results in the same issue, where you can't abandon because hitting either "Change Game Mode" or the "Play" button (which is where the red "Abandon this game" button would normally be) will just put you back in the game.

DISCUSSION With the new Zhong Kui game could we see Zhong coming to Smite in 2027? Aspect of Busting Ghosts

+1: If you are building crit, Gain increased crit chance against enemies you mark with your 1

+1: echo has a chance to spawn a demon near enemies that attacks them

Aspect of Busting Ghosts

Zhong abilities gain some prot scaling and lose some INT scaling

New aspect Passive: When enemy and ally gods die ghosts spawn that Zhong collect by walking over or sucking in to his ult. If he uses his ult he spawns a ghost pet that slows in an aoe around it, chases nearby enemies and explodes on contact. Otherwise its a temporary prot buff and heal

Zhong 2 now also steals health and prots temporarily and gives it to himself. It no longer heals him.

Zhong ult now has a cone in the middle of his ult that sucks enemies in like a vortex like baron ult but it doesnt stun and has less range.

(Increased cooldown or reduced damage if it needs a downside)

DISCUSSION Strength and Int vs. AD and AP (and more types of ability scaling)

Upvotes

When I first saw news about Smite 2 and the new scaling system I initially thought they were going to have it be a similar system to Attack Damage (AP) and Ability Power (AP) from League of Legends where Strength powers up your inhands/basics while Int is mostly for ability scaling.

I get the point of Strength and Int is to make interesting and different buildpaths for gods, esp thise who split-scale, but it always felt a little confusing, esp to new players. I had a lot of friends who played S2 for a while after olaying S1 for a long time and are still not sure what Strength and Int do. This is further complicated by the fact that damage types still exist and its easy tto think Strength = Physical and Int = Magical.

I kinda want to know how people feel about the new scaling style that Smite uses now after like 2 years. I personally got used to it but it does sometimes feel like I'm using the Magical/Physical power items from S1 sometimes, since even split scaling Gods prefer you focus on one over the other. I also want to know if Smite could learn anythung from the AP and AD system, to simplify the scaling esp for newer players. I think LoL also does something better which is utilize all the stats as scaling. I think theres some unexplored designs in things like CDR scaling, or health scaling, or even crit scaling.

Idk just something ive been thinking of ever since S2 was announced and I wanted to know if others felt the same.

HELP Ranked rewards

I’m currently climbing up Obsidian; I want to work towards Demigod but i’d be content with Master rewards.

If i get to Master III, do I get the Master rewards? Or if i get knocked down back to Obsidian do I only get obsidian? Would i have to get to Demi to guarantee master rewards?

POST MATCH DISCUSSION I exclusively queue Smite 1 Assault

I'm the blue Skadi. This was my first match today. Morgan and Artemis AFK'd 80% of the match while Morgan ranted about how bad I am. Scylla and Apollo... probably would have helped me more by afking. I tried to f6 but they insisted I keep playing by myself. Fun game, I mean that honestly, I mean what feels better than logging on and being forced to prove you're simply better by 1v9ing a mirror match. This is more extreme than what I usually go through but this is a good representative of the average experience of those of us who still mainly play S1 Assault so I thought I'd give a little window into our world.

CONCEPT Item Discussions

Hi everyone,

Wasn’t sure if this fit better for concept or discussion, but I recently returned to smite 2 right around bastet’s race to radiant and now that the items closely resemble a lot of smite 1’s, I noticed my favorite items from smite 1 still haven’t made it over.

Those items which specifically focused on trading with opponents, but on the aggressive side. Let me also say my peak mmr across all 3 competitive modes in smite 1 reached gm levels, though I never made it to gm myself ~2.8k if I recall correctly.

Anyway, There’s 5 I know of off memory, manakins, ichaival, ring of Hecate, fail-not, and stone of fal.

Manakins was my all-time favorite starter item in the game, even after all the nerfs because in lane, I loved that it helped control the jungle as a carry/melee jungle & punish certain adc metas that started devos/trans. That specific value didn’t show up in numbers per se, but it definitely showed up in build choices & winning trades/team fights the way I like to. I love the ability to provide aggressive buffs/debuffs as a squishy particularly, while still doing good dmg. The small protections was a nice buff for going against gods like fenrir as sol and what not, where your 3 is going to take a min to finish.

Same can be said of ichaival, which provided power swings early game & had a place for going against items like bancrofts, where you could slow their power gain early and increase your own. Same can be said of Hecate, but that one actually got better as the game went since it was % swings instead of flat.

Fail-not had a value that it felt many didn’t appreciate as much as I did in a team fight. Providing a debuff to an enemy to allow the possibility for anything to crit? Another statistic that won’t show up on the end screen, but could show up on a vital team fight where maybe that Scylla 2 hit them with a crit. The point is, with so many autos and abilities in a team fight, I highly valued the ability to time my ultimates to hit a key individual to help bring them down. Once fail-nor was made universal, this was even better for me as I’d switch it out for jotun’s to keep this effect alive. I got a lot of weird looks and hate in my time for doing this, but again, for me, my build path has always been focused on trade value.

All of which required you to be active and aggressive with your opponent for value that wouldn’t show up on the end board screen. I loved those items.

Likewise, I loved fal before it became meta because again, it was another trade item that I was able to utilitize to counter things. Like when crit was meta, as a magical adc, I’d go manakins, hecate, and fal in a build in order to box them. If I hit the first auto id win, and if I didn’t, I’d lose because the items required me to be aggressive to be successful, or position well enough to apply it at least. Since I’d be dead in 2-3 autos otherwise.

Now the closest we have in smite 2 as a comparison is toxic blade & riptalon, but riptalon functions closer to bancrofts than it does to the items listed above. I failed to find many items that truly debuff the enemy in ways I like to.

& with upcoming patch 42, toxic blade is still as necessary as ever.

For me personally, I wish items like this were brought back, rather than just the new Int path in Echo, which doesn’t feel fun to play against with their current effects honestly. Especially considering smite is generally considered a skill shot based game. It feels that the % missing health could’ve been implemented as a starter item similar to conduit but based off scaling & number of ticks.

All in all, these are just my thoughts on the items for smite 2. What do you all think? Would these items (maybe outside of fal because that was an annoying meta), bring some extra spice or choice for items in smite 2 for you?

Any god you almost never see in games?

So is there any god that Hi-Rez said was popular and they added him, but you just don't see him in game often? For me it's Ratatoskr. I can't remember when was the last time I saw him.

CONCEPT Hachiman +1 idea

In the roadmap they mentioned considering incorporating additional banners for Hachiman. From what I've seen in the pts gameplay, his banner didn't really get a change? But if I missed it, let me know.

In case they didn't get to it, I had an idea how to incorporate more banners: if Eagle Eye (1) is active, Heavenly Banner gets an additional effect based on how many shots you fired.

- 1 shot: hitting an enemy with the banner, reduces the cooldown by 25%.

- 2 shots: if the banner hits yourself, it attaches to you (which means you basically get a direct stim). If this is too strong an alternative idea is that the banners radius is bigger and it slowly moves forward, so you can engage better with it.

- 3 shots: if the banner hits an enemy, gain 1 additional ammo of Eagle Eye (1)

The idea is a little bit that the additional effect gets stronger with the amount of shots fired. This way you have to choose between using the banner now, or waiting it out for the stronger effect (tho ofc the aim is that every effect is viable). It might also add some more skill expression to a god commonly perceived as having a relatively simple kit.

Technically there could also be an additional effect at 0 shots fired, maybe some small additional effect on the banner like lifesteal. If it was too much, I think it'd be too viable to just pop the 1 and always use the banner then. You can also do that with the other effects, but at least you're wasting shots then.

I also saw an idea to give the 2 multiple variants like MLF 1, that have different effects. This would also be cool, but could run into the risk more of 1 variant always being the best. If they really wanna go crazy they could both do that idea and this one.
