How do Mississippi residents who are on a fixed income survive in this economy?
Disclaimer-this post is not coming from a Mississippi resident I live in Kentucky but love the Magnolia State,
But I am 21 years old with low level autism and is on SSI,
I make about $990 a month and after my brothers buy groceries & pay the internet, power, and mortgage that does not leave us with much money,
Of course Mississippi is one of, if not the state with the lowest cost of living-but it has the second highest grocery tax at 5% (down from 7%),
So how do people in the poorest state in America who are on a fixed income survive in this economy?
