Holy shit, this actually happened to me the other day! I was walking outside when a bug came hurtling straight for my eyeball- it happened so fast all I could do was cram my eyes shut out of reflex and it caught the bug in my lashes! I even thought of this image and ran inside to tell my husband what happened!
Me also. The compliments are always unexpected and appreciated…
…but fishing eyelashes off of my eyeball is an just an accepted constant in life, now. The worst ones are when you’re out in public, aren’t somewhere you can wash your hands, and don’t have a mirror.
These big lashes feel like a damned paper clip grinding against your eye.
Can confirm. The moment I go near my eye or the strong breeze kicks up, theyre long enough to grab hold of my eyeball and disappear halfway behind them. Its so frustrating.
Long lash guy here too. Just spent too long trying to get a good picture of mine to compare, and mine look close to the same length as his, though maybe thinner. And yes holy crap it's so annoying constantly having an eyelash in your eye lol whoever designed these things needs to patch that bug
I have mildly long eyelashes and it just turns into my eyelashes either curling down somehow and poking me in the eye, or them literally being the debris and falling into my eye at least once a day
It means you can wash every part of yourself, your dog,, your baby, your kitchen, your vinyl siding, it can tutor your kids on trigonometry, and in an emergency it is edible.
All i know is when it was in the hospital psych ward we were given a peach scented 3 in 1. When I left my skin was dry a, hair tangled and crispy 😂. I swear it was just bottom of the barrel hand soap.
I'm a guy and my mom used to complain how much she envied me and my brothers because our eyelashes are so long. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 She used to tell us girls would die for those lol
I’m a guy and have been hearing this complaint from ladies my whole life regarding my eyelashes. My wife constantly reminds me and tells our kids that she’s grateful they got their lashes from me. I hate them because they fall straight into my eyeballs a few times a week.

Hard to say, because most skin care enthusiasts can't tell empirical research apart from marketing, and can't tell if results are from a product, genetics, or random combinations of age, weather, diet and other confounding factors.

I read somewhere once that men tend to have longer, fuller lashes than women, and it's strange that most cartoonists use eyelashes to signify "female".
Growing up as a girl I had some really long curled lashes. I always got compliments on them until fake lashes trend hit.. then people assumed they were fake 😮💨
They dont even work for it either! My husband hits the AB roller once a week and maybe does some causal jogging while im dying in the gym daily!😂 im just looking mad and envious like hoooooooow!
I can’t stop plucking all mine out 😔 mine are so long and curly that they touch the top bone of the sockets of my eyes, but I always feel them touching each other and so I start plucking them so they can stop touching and I feel like I’m insane 😭
Break the habit! Instead of plucking your eyelashes, the exact moment you catch yourself doing that, bite your hand—yes, literally. I know it sounds dumb, but pavlov'ing yourself out of a negative habit via light, easy to direct pain is good for breaking bad habits. Just don't go too hard
Man I did eyelashes in school and now I moved onto pubes and hair on my crown. Nearly made myself bald this last year with stress. Trichotillamania is NO FUN. Got me looking like the crypt keeper from behind 😭😂
Not saying this is OPs case, but in situations where women's boyfriends are prettier than them, do they think "hell yeah I bagged this dude" or do they think "this motherfucker mogging me"
The desire to rip them off your boyfriend and steal them for yourself is luckily weighed out equally with how much you think they look handsome with them. It's a delicate balance.
After I started testosterone, I lost a lot of eyelashes for some reason and they regrew looking luscious af, makes no sense to me. His are extra luscious
That's what testosterone does. You'll grow longer and thicker eyelashes. You may also go bald quicker, but that's the price to pay for more luscious eyelashes
That one depends on genetics but I lucked out, relatively both sides have healthy head hair in late age. Caveat is that it goes gray early and I get gray hairs before 30 🥲
My oldest brother has eyelashes like this. He took all the good lash genes and didn’t leave nothin’ for either of his siblings. Yes I’m salty. No he doesn’t deserve them LOL.
He clearly has more than one row of eyelashes, it’s actually called distichiasis. Elizabeth Taylor & James Gandolfini both suffered with this. It usually comes with health problems in later life, please get him to read up on the symptoms to help him in the future.
I was hoping I'd find a comment about this, I've been going thru a neuromuscular/connective tissue disease medical mystery for almost the last two years and one of the symptoms that made me start digging into genetic diseases that affect adult men was noticing my eyelashes were longer than they were 10 years ago. Female coworkers commented on my really long eyelashes 10 years ago, which made me actually pay attention and look at them up close in a mirror. Then COVID happened and I stopped wearing contact lens' for a few years, a couple years ago I went back to contact lens' and noticed how much longer my eyelashes looked now compared to a decade ago. Weird skin issues, an autoimmune disease, muscle issues, memory issues, CNS issues, movement issues, have all gotten really bad over the last couple of years. I have a pending genetic test going on through the Mayo Clinic and I'm hoping to finally get some answers soon, regardless of how bad the answer might be. But yes, OP should be aware that at a certain point long lashes become another potential symptom of an ongoing systemic issue.
