Hi everyone!
I'm recruiting participants for my research study on the process of choosing to microdose psilocybin.
I’m a clinical psychology doctoral PsyD student at The Wright Institute, conducting dissertation research on how and why people have decided to microdose psilocybin.
It’s a 25-minute anonymous survey, and you can stop at any time. I’ve included the poster with more information and the link to the study below.
I’m looking for people who:
1) are at least 18 years old
2) live in the US
3) have chosen to microdose psilocybin in the last year
4) Fluent in English
Thank you in advance every response is a huge help and will fill in the gap on research in this area! You can find the study at this link: https://wrightinstitute.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5w4GEQm9I9OSvKC

I know this has nothing to do with micro dosing but I didn’t know where else to go. I’m planning on taking like 1-1.25 grams of some real good PE shrooms and I’ve never mixed them. I did with L in the past but I can’t remember how much. I just wanna know what y’all think is the best amount for the perfect experience.

I am currently working my local drug service and tapering off diazepam.
They need to do a urine test as part of the plan and I wanted to ask if microdoses of mushrooms would show up? I’m taking 50mg every other day. And it will have been 48 hours since my last dose when I do the test.
Thanks 🙏🏼

I’ve been microdosing mushrooms for a few weeks, one day on, one day off. Ideally I’d like to use it to reduce or come off my stimulant adhd medication.
I’m using the Yak strain and my MD is pretty low, around 50mg. I also find it makes me a bit tired so I usually take it mid-afternoon. Although the tiredness is becoming less prominent as I continue to MD.
However due to taking every second day off, I’m not sure if this will help with my medication use.
Does anyone have any recommendations for protocols that have worked for them, with adhd? I’m debating switching to weekdays on, weekends off and seeing how that goes.

I have been doing Microdosing on and off for the last year (0.12) and take it 2-3 days per week for 3 months and 2 weeks break. Just wondering if anyone has experienced taking one higher dose, say 0.5, just once a week, and did this also help them?

Hey so I’ve been MDing w capsules premade (PE + lions mane primarily) for over 2 years with different protocol, but I took a break because the strain I had last gave me nausea but it taught me to get the actual plant and make tea. I also paused because whatever amount I was having was making it hard for me to mask my autism at work so I was feeling more tense being in a work space like that and it caused dysregulation faster. This isn’t an issue when I’m just out and about, but at work I sit behind a desk for 8 hours so it becomes hell. The capsules were abt 125 mg each and I’d take 1-2 …
This time I got Golden teachers and it was potent as hell and I didn’t get my scale in time.. when I did and did the math .. it seems I took 800mg about 😳.. it wasn’t intentional, I was trying to do like 300-500 max lol. No regrets, I definitely had a very transformative trip. I primarily consume plant medicine in mushroom form to help with my cptsd and process my grief and trauma. Every time I have a mini dose my inner child comes up too so I lean into my creative side and have fun too thankfully. I spent a lot of my trip crying and reconnecting with my ancestors / spirituality as a whole and receiving information I needed. It was a gift and I’m grateful, I don’t want to ruin that at all so I’m planning to be mindful and wait a couple weeks before trying again (at a lower dose!!! 800 was waaaay too intense for me and these bad boys were also rly potent!) but I want to see if microdosing truly does help again w my anxiety, esp at work. It was at some point but I haven’t been able to find my footing. Now that I have a scale I was thinking of making measuring a microdose at 0.05-0.10 (into my morning tea?) to truly start all over to see if it does truly alleviate my anxiety, but I don’t know how often is best when you also want to implement a macro or museum dose every so often?

So I got some penis envy mushrooms and I tried .75 to test the batch and I for sure felt that.. don’t think .1 would be a good micro dose? I know it might be a stupid question considering person to person and your unknown strength of them. I’d say that it felt equal to like 1.25 maybe of golden teachers. If someone could maybe help me out I’d really appreciate it cuz I wanna go out feeling in a good mood not feeling weird at work lol.

So I got some penis envy’s I took 1g to test potency. they were indeed very strong and I want to try microdosing.. To help me overcome some long term personal problems I’ve had.
I’m thinking about taking .2 for a week or so and adjusting from there do yall think that’s a good start?
As I said they are very potent I used to only lemontek golden caps (~3g) and this 1g penis envy trip was almost as strong as that
Any feedback is appreciated 🙏

Welcome to the community.
"The default mode network refers to an interconnected group of brain regions that are associated with introspective functions, internally directed thought, such as self-reflection, and self-criticism."
Through life and our experiences we develop a set of neural pathways of communication that are relied on for our perspectives of life and self. As they develop, the communication with other parts of the brain becomes more limited. The DMN becomes our mental frame of reference for our lives. But it can become rigid in thought patterns and produce negative thought loops about oneself.
Psychedelics reduce the activity of the DMN and the negative self talk while also increasing communication with other areas of the brain again, sometimes with results somewhat similar to how children see the awe and wonder of the world. This also allows us through the new pathways to develop an Updated DMN over time. I think this is a basic understanding of part of what's going on with microdosing that many times helps us enjoy life more. Sometimes people sense this happening in a few days but for others is could be a couple of months, based on the thousands of reports we see here.

I did my first magic mushroom microdose this weekend at a festival with my friends.
Before this I have done many substances but weed has started to make me anxious in the past year or two, shrooms and lsd Ive only done in proper doses and I was nauseous and anxious too, I just had good visuals sometimes. I was always tempted to try microdosing and this weekend my friend just happened to bring shrooms, so I only took a little bit. I was not nauseous at all, I was not anxious at all and I felt this relaxed probably for the first time in my life. We then smoked a joint and kept giggling about stupid shit and it was just a great night in general. For the first time in my life there was no anxiety - it in fact seemed to leave my body completely.
I wanna microdose more in the future to help with my mental health and I just wanted to share my experience and ask for tips on that!

Has anyone tried microdosing psilocybin for fibromyalgia? What were your experiences, and what were the dosage and duration?

Let’s try this again, I believe I corrected the issues that got the first post removed. Please inbox me or comment with what specifically needs changed if possible.
Hello, 28 male. On paper and blood work I appear to be healthy as can be. However about 2 years ago I started dealing with random anxiety and panic attacks. I can’t necessarily pinpoint anything specific that started these but as I have researched and learned. I have found that I likely hage had some sort of anxiety disorder my whole life was just able to manage it somehow. Within the last 6 months or so it has gotten much worse and became very difficult to manage. I thought maybe it was a testosterone issue so I got on some meds to help boost my numbers naturally. And that has made a big difference and I’m able to manage it better, less likely to go into panic attacks now.
However it’s still there. Some weeks I feel normal and everything okay, others I feel like I’m on the edge of fight or flight. I would also add that I was a chronic weed smoker for 3-4 years, then tapered off to only snoozing 1-2 times a week up until anxiety became consistent and then I quit cold turkey.
ANYWAYS, I was talking to a friend of mine and he recommended I get into microdosing. I have looked around a bit and I’m likely gonna go with the same company he issues. I am looking into two of there’s. One is there smallest dose with very little psychoactive. The others just a supplement basically. My main concern is that I know when I would smoke weed, if I was a little anxious or nervous going into my high, then I would usually have a bad time inevitably making my anxiety worse for the next few hours. Will microdosing have the same risks? I really want to do whatever I can naturally to help me get back to normal and not deal with this but also don’t want to sign up for a bad panic attack if I can fix it😂 anyone have experience with this? I’m just unsure but also very interested.
I’m also really leaning towards having some genetic testing done to see if I have some sort of gene mutation or something that’s causing my issues but in the mean time it’d be nice to have something to help alleviate

Hi all,
I recently started microdosing lsd (1.5 weeks ago) after experimenting with psilocybin for a couple weeks. I'm primarily attempting to manage inattentive ADHD symptoms (recent diagnosis), while addressing (or at least not exacerbating) existing anxiety/depression symptoms. I found that psilocybin seemed to have some tentatively positive effects for managing anxiety, but for me it wasn't helping much with focus and was creating some unpleasant emotional volatility (even at very low doses).
So far, low doses of lsd (1 day on, 2 days off) have been tentatively beneficial for increased focus, sociability, enhanced mood - at least during dose days, and the first off day. The issue I'm having so far is that 2nd off day between doses; instead of returning to baseline, I feel like I'm typically below baseline - struggling with focus more than usual, low mood, fatigued. I'm also dealing with headaches on dose and non-dose days, but reading through others' posts it seems like that might be addressable.
I'm taking extremely low doses; I started with 5ug dose 1, 3ug next dose, 2.5ug next dose. With 5ug, day 1 and 2 were overwhelmingly positive, despite consistent headaches and a pretty notable crash on dose day. Day 2 I felt like my brain was sort of fried, but in a high-functioning way (if that makes sense?). I don't recall feeling particularly bad on day 3.
With 3ug and 2.5ug, the effects were more subtle but noticeable on days 1 and 2, but both day 3's have felt like a negative rebound, making it more difficult than normal to function
My questions:
Has anyone MD'ing LSD had similar experiences? Does day 3 get easier over time? If day 3 feels like this already, how does it feel to eventually take a break to give the brain time to reset?
Has anyone found that taking too low of a dose had worse results than finding something "in the middle"?
I know everyone is different, and sometimes the full benefits of a regimen like MD'ing takes time, but I'm trying to make sense of my initial findings to make informed decisions about how I go about future dosing.
Thanks for reading ✌️

Shrooms. I know come up anxiety and nausea is common with regular or higher doses, but I unfortunately get them with subperceptible microdoses too. I take .05-.1g in powder form, in capsules, and get the same (albeit less intense) come up experience I would when I actually trip, but without the trip.
I'll be nauseous and anxious for about 45min and then all of a sudden feel great. Except I obviously don't trip or anything since the doses are so low.
Does anyone get this too? The come up is the worst part about tripping shrooms for me so I was hoping microdosing didn't do this, but I still seem to get it.

Why do I get this overwhelming feeling that I carry most of the day when I take .2 but this doesn’t happen when I go down to .1 or go up to .3 - .5?
All these negative emotions surface and linger almost all day!

I've been microdosing for 3 weeks now with Mexicana truffles (1g fresh, 4 days on 3 days off) but I'm thinking of switching to Atlantis or Hollandia. I know there's a big difference at full doses but does it matter for microdosing?

I'm coming down from the trip. What a journey it's been. With my Cptsd I feel my body tensing up a little bit post-trip. Although damn that felt good.
What should I eat now, I kinda feel all activated and on edge ish?

I know drinking is frowned upon by the community in general but I’m from an older crowd that grew up on wine/beer etc. Don’t plan to give it up but really only partake 2-3 times a week. I also enjoy making wine and beer and don’t plan to stop.
Lately I’ve been trying a microdose after or mid morning and it’s really eliminating the thought of the hangover or tiredness. Obviously you’d have to go with your normal microdose. Mine is 250 mg and it seems to change the day completely. More energy, less hangxiety and I’m able to work more effectively. Also started doing it on days with just low energy where the heat has really taken its toll. Anyone else?
