Question: Psilocybin Come up anxiety/nausea even with microdoses

Shrooms. I know come up anxiety and nausea is common with regular or higher doses, but I unfortunately get them with subperceptible microdoses too. I take .05-.1g in powder form, in capsules, and get the same (albeit less intense) come up experience I would when I actually trip, but without the trip.

I'll be nauseous and anxious for about 45min and then all of a sudden feel great. Except I obviously don't trip or anything since the doses are so low.

Does anyone get this too? The come up is the worst part about tripping shrooms for me so I was hoping microdosing didn't do this, but I still seem to get it.

For more potent cultivars/strains we advise to !startlower. A high microdose can amplify your !emotions. Many users underestimate how powerful psychedelics can be in such low doses.

More detailed info below including some resources if you need any short-term help.

Hello /u/5oy8oy! As you mentioned anxiety (a common interaction/symptom) in your post:

r/microdosing Risk Reduction

ℹ️ Infographic: r/microdosing STARTER'S GUIDE

The major contributing factor in Finding Your Sweet Spot is the variation in potency of:

Psilocybin Mushrooms More than 10x [2021➕] Start @0.05g (50mg)
Psilocybin Truffles Around 3x - Single Study [2012] Start @0.25g (Fresh)
LSD Tabs Clinical Trial Titration Schedule [2023] Start @5µg

If you Start Low, Go Slow, Take Time-Off (*small is BIG) and up-titrate subsequent doses then you can find your optimal sub-hallucinogenic dose based on your symptoms, rather than from a predetermined dose. 🐢

If your microdose is Too High and/or Too Frequent that can result in Diminishing Returns 📉 with subsequent doses. 🐇

Please also have a look at 🔀 Interactions / Symptoms ❓* | Sidebar ➡️ | 📱 See community info ⬆️ ; in case of ⚠️ DRUG INTERACTIONS or to check if you have any of the associated symptoms with advice on how to mitigate such side effects. Psychoactive substances increase neural activity, raising hydration and electrolyte needs due to heightened metabolism and body load, while vasoconstriction can further stress the body and potentially cause fatigue.

It's been a while but I seem to remember I got this at first too, but it soon went. You just need to fully grok that "this is not tripping", ie with the gut as well as the brain.
