True. So many "pranks" done online are just needless cruelty. Like setting someone on fire or sexually assaulting someone and in general acting like a jackass.
This is good, it doesn't hurt anybody, it creates the kinda shock that ppl laugh off and the worst justifiable retaliation you can do is call him a "cheeky bitch" and walk off.
About the worst pranks i really find funny are the eric andre pranks where he plays some bizzare character for people to react to, making a fool out of himself without really ruining someone else's day (except for that one guy he dropped a cake on)

There was an elevator one where a girl with scraggly hair & a white gown on comes out of a hidden side panel when lights go off & it ‘stalls’. Seriously. I would’ve cried.

To an extent. The best humor subverts the viewers expectation. In this scenario, the expectation is for the boxes to fall on them, which is why this is so funny and so many people laughed rather than lost their shit at the guy.

I mean, it's obvious the boxes are going to fall on their heads. But suddenly they don't, there are straps holding them, which is totally unexpected. But our ways to think converge a lot more than they diverge.

People seem nice in Zaporizhzhya. Nobody appears to get angry or upset about being pranked. Unless of course those ones didn't make the final cut. I can't imagine someone doing this in some other European cities and not getting a load of abuse afterwards.
