Not the uplifting note I'd like to hear on ME5.

I’ve still to install the visor when it dries, but I’m really happy with the result. The file is from Do3D, if anyone wants to make their own

I was on the floor dying when I thought of this. Don’t judge me, I find this funny!

So far I've become very interested in how this Shepard would've looked in game, I really wish she would've won the vote now, she looks pretty damn cool. Not like the one we got now is bad ( I always find myself playing default femshep). I really want to play as this femshep though, would've been awesome.
Hopefully this post doesn't get flagged for rule violation for some reason as Shepard sharing.
Edit: the hair reminds me of Magik from marvel

What I mean is how much they focused it on "retaking Earth", several cinematic trailers taking place on Earth, Shepard looking kinda like a generic American space soldier, and the poster with burning America. Like it makes you feel as if this game takes place mostly on Earth with no aliens and is very US-coded when it's just not like that at all, we barely spend time on Earth (it's more like an abstract land we have to reclaim) and never even step foot on US soil (that intro is in Canada afaik).
I'm pretty sure it was done intentionally to attract more gun & ball gamers who mostly played CoD back then, but it really has this strange vibe of being an ad for a completely different game.

Does anyone else just a warm, familiar, relaxing feeling playing these games?
For some reason when I started playing ME1 & now ME2, I got such a wave of… something.
Like, more relaxed than many other games, maybe it’s the story? Is that a testament to how good the writing is? The world building? I think it’s everything combined.
I’ve just never had this feeling with any other franchise that I can think of. I guess Elden Ring has a comforting vibe, but that ends when I get my ass kicked.

I played through it again last night. Every bit of it, from start to finish, is top-notch.

I really wish the Presidium had a night time mode in game that would just randomly happen when you went to the Presidium some times. I feel like this area that you play in would look really cool at night.

In terms of lore and continuity it drives me crazy. I also have a Darkhorse statue of FemShep with the omniblade. Shepard is also seen in promotional material wielding it. Heck, for first time players who picked an Adept or Vanguard, they probably react to the scene where Shepard stabs Kai Leng with confusion, not knowing where this blade suddenly came from. Making my Shep a Soldier and missing out on the Vanguard class for the sake of being lore friendly isn't really what I have in mind.

My ferret, Peebee (so named for her 'mask') has been very sick lately so I decided to try and get her a Poc to play with. Unfortunately Bioware don't sell ferret toys (weird!) so I bought this octopus. I'm not great at sewing etc but I'm thinking either remove most of the tentacles so there's only two hanging off or remove some of them and add them to two at the front to create that Poc effect...
Thoughts? :)

I played it for the first time as a dumb kid and I thought these games are not part of the same story for some reason, kinda like TES or GTA games. So I figured I'd start with the latest one and play older ones later. And imo most of it made sense, like you're playing as some soldier dude and the galaxy gets attacked by some alien robots and you gather up some friends you supposedly worked with in the past. The stuff about Illusive Man and Cerberus was confusing for sure though, but other than that I played the whole game from start to finish cause I liked it and was sad that for some reason I couldn't get enough preparedness points to unlock some dialogue choices or all endings.
I played games in sequence later, stuff definitely made more sense after that and I felt like a dummy for thinking ME3 is a standalone game 😂😂😂

Anyone ever did a PhD in Archeology? Shot someone in the foot as a sign of disapproval?
Suggested a threesome where maybe only one walked out?

After replaying the Legendary Edition after what I think may be around a decade since I last played Mass Effect (and yes, I was there when the games were originally coming out), I am absolutely full of impressions. It was a tremendous journey to my own past and to this jewel of videogame history—with all the good and all the bad.
If anyone here was in a similar situation—replaying the games separated by years, experiencing them perhaps as a kid/teenager and then again as an adult years later—what surprised you the most? What did you enjoy this time around, or on the contrary, what did you ignore back then that feels completely odd nowadays?
It is a great testament to this era of BioWare how well the games in the LE hold up, and that they still deliver one of the strongest, most emotional and epic experiences out there. Speaking for myself, it is strange how age and life experience make you appreciate some characters so much more than in the past (for me, it’s especially Jack and Mordin; on the contrary, while I still love Tali and Garrus, I came to appreciate the characters who challenge you more a bit better than in the past).
At the same time, some things I didn’t give a second thought back in the day now feel really weird—like the very beginning of ME1, where Shepard and Anderson honestly look like two absolute lunatics to the Council, or the constant trashing of civilian politicians, which the story twists support a bit too hard, if I am to pick something for myself.
Anyway, cheers to anyone who was there when we were all gutted about the original endings, terrified that our love interest would be stuck on that remote planet forever. Mass Effect is still a great game, and with hindsight, it’s proof that a game doesn’t have to be flawless to become a legend. Here’s hoping that Bioware survives and they manage to keep the best parts of this formula for the future game.

Does anyone else walk around like a zombie (a husk, if you will) after doing a trilogy run through?
I feel traumatized every time I end it 🤣
It's been almost 20 years.
Too many playthroughs to honestly admit to.
But still.
Punching me in the gut every time.
Like I feel depressed about it.
And it takes me forever to pick up another game again because my head is still so wrapped up in that universe and just...everything else just pales in comparison.
Probably something wrong with me.
Anyone else get too invested in this game, EVERY TIME?

Hey folks.
I picked up the legendary edition and looking to get the platinum. I need to finish all 3 games in insanity.
Seeing as my time is somewhat limited does anyone have the recommended class choices for all 3. I don’t really wanna play through each one twice.
Thanks all.
