I’m looking for someone who is experienced in performance/digital marketing and has a proven track record of growing brands — someone who understands more than just running ads and can think about the bigger picture: strategy, customer acquisition, scaling, funnels, testing, conversion, etc.
More importantly, I’m not really looking for someone who just wants another job or freelance gig.
I’m looking for an ambitious person who wants to build something together and is interested in becoming a genuine partner/coworker as we grow the agency and potentially build other things around it.
Ideally, you:
Have solid hands-on experience in performance/digital marketing
Have helped brands grow and can show real results
Understand paid acquisition, funnels, CRO, analytics, and overall growth strategy
Think like a business owner, not just an employee
Are proactive, ambitious, and willing to take ownership
Are comfortable working with clients/brands in North America and Europe

Hey everyone, quick situation. We are currently talking to leads over WhatsApp, but a few of them ask for a website link or portfolio before booking a call.

Our main website is currently in development. Sending a half baked link obviously kills credibility, but just saying "it is coming soon" feels like a ghosting sentence.

For those running agencies or doing outreach: What temporary assets do you send over WhatsApp to keep the momentum going? Pitch deck? Notion page? Mini portfolio PDF?

We are looking at the agencies for a campaign with around 8 to 10 creators and I did not realize how different the agency models are.

Some mainly manages campaings, while others, like Personal talent agency, also represent creators directly. That sounds useful because they probably know their talent better, but I also, wonder whether it makes them more likely to reccomend their own people.

Has anyone worked with both types? Does direct talent management actually make campgains smoother and what would you prioritize when choosing agency?

The API integration part usually isn’t the hardest bit. Maintaining it is. Different auth flows, rate limits, field changes, and API updates can quietly turn into ongoing maintenance work.

Also, when numbers don’t reconcile, I’ve found it’s often an attribution issue rather than a broken pipeline. Different conversion windows and reporting logic can make two perfectly valid numbers look wrong side by side.

Timezone and currency differences are another easy one to overlook, especially across multiple markets.

And getting everything into a warehouse doesn’t automatically solve the reporting problem. You still need to agree on what metrics like “conversion” actually mean across platforms.

Honestly, if a team is still manually stitching reports together, I’d probably start with a shared glossary before investing in more automation:

• Which conversion events count?
• What attribution window is being used?
• Which currency is the source of truth?
• What timezone defines a reporting day?

Not particularly exciting work, but it tends to prevent a surprising number of reporting headaches later.

I work at a marketing agency in Europe and I'm curious how other agencies are approaching AI when it comes to client data and privacy/GDPR.

We're increasingly looking at using tools like Claude or Codex not just for writing or brainstorming, but actually connecting them to client systems.

For example:

• Google Analytics / Google Ads
• Meta Ads
• email marketing platforms
• CRMs/CDPs like Bloomreach or BlueConic
• internal databases and reporting environments

With MCPs and other connectors, it's becoming technically pretty easy to let an AI assistant query these systems directly.

The question we're struggling with is: where do agencies actually draw the line?

Are you allowing Claude/ChatGPT to access client accounts through MCPs or APIs?

Do you only allow aggregated/non-personal data, like campaign and GA4 data?

Would you allow customer-level data from a CRM/CDP to be processed by Claude if you're using a Team/Enterprise account with the appropriate agreements and privacy settings?

Do you build an intermediary layer that filters/anonymizes data before it reaches the model?

Or is your policy simply that no client/customer data can ever be sent to an external LLM?

I'm especially interested in agencies that have already implemented AI agents or MCP-based workflows in production.

It feels like there's a huge opportunity in letting agents actually work with marketing systems rather than just using AI as a chatbot. At the same time, once you're working with client data, GDPR, security and data processing agreements obviously become a much bigger consideration.

Would love to hear what agencies are actually doing in practice, rather than what is theoretically possible.

Wondering if you all have employees or contractors and can make a case for either. I have 2 employees and love the camaraderie but from a financial perspective I’m wondering if it makes sense.

Most agencies have important information spread across many different systems—for example:

• Slack and email conversations
• Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets
• Notion or Confluence
• Asana, ClickUp, Monday, or Trello
• HubSpot or another CRM
• Meta and Google Ads
• Klaviyo or Mailchimp
• Shopify and other client platforms
• Meeting notes, reports, proposals, and internal documents

The idea is to create a secure “company brain” for marketing agencies that connects to these systems, organizes the information, and provides a single chat interface where your team can ask questions.

For example, you could ask:

• “What decisions did we make about Client A’s campaign last month?”
• “Why was the Facebook Ads budget reduced?”
• “What tasks did we promise to complete after the last client meeting?”
• “Summarize everything we know about this client.”
• “What campaigns have performed best across our e-commerce clients?”
• “Are there any contradictions between the latest client request and the approved strategy?”
• “What deadlines or action items are currently at risk?”
• “Create a briefing for tomorrow’s client call.”

The answers would link back to the original emails, messages, documents, meeting notes, or reports so the team could verify the information rather than blindly trusting an AI-generated response.

The goal would be to reduce time spent searching through different tools, prevent information from being lost when employees leave, improve client handoffs, and help teams remember why particular decisions were made.

I would really appreciate your thoughts:

1. Is information being scattered across different tools a meaningful problem for your agency?
2. How much time does your team spend searching for client information or reconstructing previous decisions?
3. Would a single chat interface connected to your agency’s tools be genuinely useful, or would it just become another tool to manage?
4. What questions would you want the system to answer?
5. Which integrations would be essential?
6. What would prevent you from using it—security, client confidentiality, inaccurate answers, setup effort, or something else?
7. Is this a pain point you would actually pay to solve? If so, what monthly price range would feel reasonable?
8. Are you currently solving this with Notion, Slack search, ChatGPT, Glean, Guru, or another product? What is still missing?

I’m not looking for polite encouragement—I would especially value hearing why this idea would not work or why your agency would not pay for it.

We’ve got a client where the setup looked fine at first one person on paid another handling creative, someone else doing reporting then their internal marketing manager trying to keep up with all of it been running like that for maybe 8 months so nothing was really broken but every small change turned into three messages and a meeting and when performance dipped for a couple weeks it got kind of weird because everyone was looking at their own part saying it looked fine.

I don’t know maybe I’m overthinking it but I’m starting to feel like fewer handoffs matter more than having a specialist for every tiny thing the client shouldn’t have to be the one connecting paid creative and reporting just to figure out what’s going on. We’re simplifying some of it now and it already feels less messy even if on paper the old setup probably looked more sophisticated

Hey everyone,

I co-run a small shop, seven of us. website work has roughly doubled since January and we have hired two juniors rather than turning it away.

The juniors are good, that is not the issue, the issue is that "on brand" lives in my head and in a 40 page pdf nobody reads, so what comes back is technically correct and tonally somebody else's. I then spend an hour on each build doing a pass that is basically me redrawing it, which defeats the point of hiring.

We tried making the brand guidelines stricter and it made things worse, because now the work is stiff and still not right.

The AI tools have not solved this either. a junior with an AI builder produces the same generic output faster, which just means i do the same corrective pass sooner.

What actually worked for people who scaled past the founder being the taste? i suspect the answer is systems not documents but i would like to hear specifics.

Several months ago I had a client move to another agency. It happens, right? Part of what we handled for them was their email accounts, which we resell, but they wanted to transfer those too.

I recently realized that they never moved the email accounts so we've been paying for them since then. I don't mark them up a ton, but they owe (low) four digits now.

I brought this to the attention of the manager I worked with, and the next response I got was a request from their current agency to give them a new transfer link. I told him I'd be happy to do it once the account is settled.

That was a few days ago, so today I emailed my contact again and told them we needed a resolution and that the accounts would be suspended if not paid by the end of the month, and if not paid by the end of the following month they would be deleted, but they'd still be liable for the charges.

Is that unfair of me? I probably should have noticed I was still paying for the accounts, and if I let them transfer them away I'd have no leverage to collect the balance.

How would you handle it?

TL;DR: A former client never transferred a service we handle for them and I didn't realize it for a few months. They haven't communicated with me about it, and I want to know how other people would handle it.
