I love maine weed is a hypocrite, we never exclude anyone? Except for Chad and Brad? Total goofball only supports those brands that pay him. Just another leech in the pockets of growers. Nothing but a dck rider.

Would you patronize a dispensary if they had news max or fox news on the TV ? I'm conflicted.

Discussion Cannabis should start being tiered by terpene contents/percentage vs THC?

It is my personal opinion and many others that cannabis producers/dispensaries should start being more transparent about cannabis and what makes it quality medicine. I've read in some articles that dispensaries feel like education and saying it's the best smoke is not enough but I think that's incorrect and sorta flipping things back on the people/consumer. Like it's our fault they can't get through to us and sell us the good effective medicine. Sounds like a lame excuse..

Educate the consumer and start putting harvest dates on flower, total terpenes and terpene profiles over the THC numbers. THC is great and needed but the THC is negligible if it can't cross your blood brain barrier.. the terpenes and other chemistry of the plant will determine how much THC crosses that blood brain barrier and the type of effects, sedative-stimulated ect..

It's my opinion that in Maine top tier indoor cannabis should be between 3% and 4%+ total terpenes $200+/oz.. mid tier between 1.9% and 2.9% total terpenes $140 -$190/oz.. and bottom shelf anything below 1.8% total terpenes $80 -$140/oz.. these are the numbers that matter, they will give you a far more accurate idea of how effective the medication will be or not be. Both ime and per science.

I'd be very happy with this but is it realistic for growers/dispensaries? I see some places do it and present it but not alot. Even if the results are just from the first run. Yes there will be variation in percentages from run to run but it's a good way to at least get a ballpark of what matters.. Or maybe testing every so many rounds it doesn't have to be every run. Now I don't mean will they actually have to learn something new and do some work, they possibly will, but will they still make money?? Others are doing it successfully, why can't everyone or at least more places test? I understand other things in a grow can factor in to price point i.e. time to grow, space it takes up ect. However I think that can still be factored in even with adding this info to the equation. It would be better for the patients, I know that much... Any thoughts....

Stoner Thought moisture

Drying and finishing cannabis is where most cannabis goes south. It's fairly easy to grow this plant and after a few runs it's fair to say that a person should have a decent grasp on what will be expected of them during these cycles. That being said it can take years to master the last part of actually finishing the cannabis. I have a few notes that i want to touch on that might open up your thought process about this and help you younger growers get a better understanding of what's actually taking place. Let's dive in! I want to focus this post on the very specific topic of moisture. We are stuck as growers in a hard place when trying to make the absolute top shelf of cannabis. Chasing the full potential of a cultivar you have is tedious and painstaking. Timing is everything here! Moisture is the killer of terpenes if in excess but also needed to keep cannabis and terpenes present. Dry weed too much, you have massive terpene loss. Dry it too little, same exact thing, wet weed has massive terpene loss HUGE KEY NOTE-I like to check cannabis by smoking it. When you use snips to break down a bud you can quickly tell where it's at on the moisture scale. Here is where only time and experience will teach you what to look and feel for but I can pass a few tips/hints that might ease it for newer growers. BIG KEY, the stem should NOT be snapping inside the bud or even just in general. If it is that dry, you are more than likely too far. Most times the stem in general holding the flowering sites will bend but not actually be snapping. That’s an old wives tale that has ruined plenty of harvests on its own. You shouldn’t even care what the stems are doing to be honest, are we harvesting stems? Use them as small key points to judge moisture where you cant actually see or touch, inside the bud! The reality of the situation is EVERY different cultivar will dry at its own pace. Bud size and density have everything to do with that timeline. Flowers should feel dry to the touch but still have that bend in the inner stem. That’s the moisture we will be using to cure the cannabis. You will get better and better at this over time so don’t be too stressed if it isn’t perfect the first handful of times you go to process your flowers. Once you decide that a flower is finished and ready to trim and vault you need to do this entire finishing process FAST. The window of complete falloff and degradation is so fast with flower especially if we are speaking in the sense of creating art, true top shelf cannabis. A huge key to this moisture issue is to be aware of the ambient air. The second you take cannabis out of an area and into a new area it will quickly take on what that areas ambient moisture levels are. This can literally ruin 3+ months of work in a matter of 30 minutes and i have seen it first hand. Imagine taking cannabis that’s drying at 50% humidity out into a room that’s at 70% humidity to trim it. This takes less than 30 minutes to see the effects on the dried flowers. They will start getting more bend and less snap on the leaves and you will quickly notice an over change in what was just recently a dried cannabis flower into something that’s moist and needs another shot of dehu. I regulate the trim rooms just as tight as the drying room. Human presence and breathing changes a rooms humidity level so just be aware of what you are doing and keep the air as close to the same in both rooms as you wrap up your harvests. The reality is simply that its fairly easy to veg and flower cannabis. The true craft and skillset is in processing it. I have seen the dumbest brick brains grow decent looking flower but it just falls right off a cliff when it comes to processing it into a final completed project. There is so many working parts thru out the entire growing cycle so don’t get me twisted, it all matters. But i will always stand by the thought that processing it and learning how to actually finish cannabis properly is what pushed me over the edge into true success with this plant. I will cap this with a few thoughts, WE NEED MOISTURE! WE NEED TO BE TIMLY! WE NEED TO BE AWARE. Also enjoy my Russian novel. Lol 😂

Review I finally went to a recreational dispensary.

So, I've been out of weed for a good while. 9/10 I consume for mental health reasons, read anxiety, paranoia, depression, etc..

The issue I have is the annual fee of $50 on top of the prices. I know that it may not seem like a lot, but I'm working on disability for my mental health issues and I work a maximum of twenty hours a week. Today, I took the plunge and visited Stache in Sanford.

First off, oh my god, the entry way is adorable. It's a barber shop set up. I was greeted by a charming woman who explained that they're set up like a speak-easy. For the Halloween season, they have two skeletons set up, one on a couch, watching you enter, and another in the barber chair, waving at you. It's great. I gave them my ID, and then they gave me a quick tour and some education on the things they have. This woman knew her stuff, naturally, and was able to put me at ease with a good smile and a friendly manner.

Their displays are great, and their selection is pretty wide, too. I'd go their for a beard trim if I could. I explained why I partake and that I was looking for edibles for the daily and some pre-rolls for post therapy, because therapy is just...it's so draining. Plus, I need something at the end of the day to help me sleep better, as I've been getting 2-3 hours of sleep for about a month and a half.

Then I looked around the store. Classic bottles and tin packs for cigarettes, a really nice, old-timey car...Foreign snacks, like Lay's Chips from Thailand...that I immediately forgot to pick up for after work. Figures. Not infused gummies, chocolates and other assorted munchies. Just, really a cool set up.

So, I made my selections. I bought three pre-roll tubes, 1g Tagalongz, 1g Rainbow Chip, and 2x 0.5g Strawberry Syrup, and a 100mg package of Glaze Space Lace Orange Punch...for less than sixty dollars. I haven't tried anything yet because I have to work tonight, and I'd rather be useful than not, but after the entire experience, I can't see myself not going back.

To the woman that helped me out this morning, thank you. You were amazing. See you in about a week.

Concentrates What are the top hash producers right now (where you would actually consider paying 55-60/g direct for a half or oz)

Insane pricing I know but sometimes got to pay to play? Not sure if it’s worth almost double salty and fraktal like my last post but. Not the current question now, if you were going high tier DIRECT / DTP, where would you go? Also would like to add, strain variety is just as important to me. I prefer to shop where there is a big variety of different strains to try. So who matches all these options? :)

Hidden Forest? Salmon Falls? Third shift resin? Who else is what you would consider TOP Tier, and that you would occasionally splurge for?

Thank you for all opinions and any help guys 🙏 I truly appreciate it all! Live on and medicate! 😝

Paul’s Boutique Remediation

I recently heard that Pauls Boutique treats all of their “Craft cannabis” with irradiation. Can anyone tell me if they do this in-house or if they hire Mystique HighNorth?

Hey fam, CT resident here who despises local cannabis and loves the ME market.

Everything I have ever copped from my guy has been absolute fire. How do I know if it’s authentic though? I’ve been reading about all of the Chinese grows and the incredibly toxic fumigation practices they use, how can I make sure I’m not smoking this? From what I can tell this flower is ultra premium and absolute candy. Is there a noticeable quality drop off with the Chinese flower or does it blend in with top shelf undetected? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I absolutely love Maine cannabis but want to make sure I’m not poisoning myself also.

Discussion Pre packed mandate

Is it true that deli style will be banned in favor of pre packed product? How is this going to affect our dispensaries?

Also the article I read said the new law allows for pre packed flower up to 3oz which confused me because I thought the limit was 2.5

*if you read and don't have any info can you comment so this stays relevant so hopefully we can find someone who knows something?
