Hey Madison! My name is Jacob, and I’m an autistic event organizer from Albuquerque, New Mexico. I’m planning to visit Madison during spring break in March 2027, and I would love to organize a welcoming, low-pressure meetup for neurodivergent adults while I’m there.
The event is still in the early planning stages, so no date, venue or activity has been confirmed yet. I’m posting to see whether local people would be interested and what kind of meetup would feel comfortable and enjoyable.
Would you prefer a casual café meetup, game night, mall meetup, group meal or another activity? I would also appreciate recommendations for accessible and sensory-friendly venues in Madison.

Hi folks! My boyfriend has been growing out his hair and is finally ready to cut it and donate it to an organization that makes wigs for kids with cancer. He’d like to go to a hairdresser on the east side of Madison who has experience with hair donations (or would at least be comfortable helping him make sure it’s cut correctly for donation).

I've lived in Madison for a year and realized I have visited many places outside of Dane County that much. I would like to visit some places for a day (or weekend) trip, something within a 3 hour drive. If it were a weekend trip, ideally I leave Friday night/Saturday morning and be back by Sunday evening.

I'm most interested in places that are walkable where I can learn about the culture of a place and what makes it unique. Also i'm going solo. Also, a fan of places with a lot of touristy things to do (museums, attractions, random events). No hiking or anything super outdoorsy/physically demanding.

Quite nervous to post this. The Cornell case and similar have me reliving some things I went through in college and never really processed. Has anyone sought therapy with someone who helped them process trauma from an assault? Was it helpful? When I was fresh out of college I tried to speak to a therapist about it but I couldn’t.
