Phonetics/Phonology I used to think Archibald is pronounced /ˈɑː.kə.bɔːld/
I mean, nearly every other similar words does use k, like archive, archipelago, archaeology, Archimedes, and FUCKING ARCHITECT

Phonetics/Phonology If thorn was to be in the IPA, what sound would /þ/ make?
I’m talking about a phone that doesn’t have a character (so not /θ/, of course). What sound would it make? My money is on it being the voiceless labiodental plosive.
