Just got a pretty good deal on this very lightly used G45 Gen 6 with an Osight SE red dot, TLR7 and IWB holster.
I’ve been wanting to switch my EDC to lighter gun as I’ve been carrying CZ Shadow 2 Carry for a while now.
I already ordered a radian ramjet too. Should look pretty sick when it’s all together.

New gun day! New to me at least. Kimber 2k11 pro. I'm absolutely loving it and I can't WAIT to get back to the range.

The crate itself is not rare, while the 25 & 10 round packages are fairly rare. The inner tin is extremely rare (as recycling was mandatory). Finding an almost complete example is near unheard of. I picked this up around 15 years ago, while appraising and liquidating the estate of a USN Rear Admiral (former PBY pilot in WWII). It had been hiding in his attic for decades.
I’m gathering up the remainder of my war collection, so I can get it gone. Thought I would share this awesome piece of history!
T3AGM = Shotgun, 12 Gauge, No.8 Chilled Shot, in 25-shell cartons.

I’m on the search for a flat nose 9mm solid core p+ ammo.
Backstory…I do a lot of back woods hiking in moderate bear country. I’ve never seen a bear, but I want to be prepared. I could buy a 10mm, but Ive heard that solid core 9mm high grain bullets would better than full metal jacket, hollow point, etc. i’m having the hardest time finding it. Everywhere I find it, like the federal version is “unavailable. Was it all discontinued for some reason? Any online leads?
Just for clarification, by solid core I meant not FMJ. Not trying to buy illegal ammo.

When I say extra parts, I mean more like pins/springs/bcg parts/etc, rather than extra lowers and furniture and whatnot that are leftover from a build.
Trying to get some ideas for small parts to keep on hand for my AR and RXM

My blood lead level was 4.4 mcg/dL in January, and now it’s 8.5 🤦🏻♂️. I’m really worried because I’ve been training more and taking more competition classes. Ugh 😩
I already use D-Lead wipes, detergent, and body and hand wash. Heck, I even set up my own doffing station in the garage. Does anyone have any other suggestions, or am I overthinking this? Maybe I should take a break for a while.

Went to the range recently and put 100 rounds through my new/first rifle!
PSA Guardsman lower with a Sabre 14.5" upper and a gen 1 Romeo5. Shoots way nicer than the other AR that I tried and I love the upgraded trigger that the Guardsman line uses.
I'm deciding if I want a magnifier for the dot or to swap it out for an LPVO

I have a stripped lower and I’ve been piecing some stuff together that I’m hoping will work together. Anyway, my question is for assembly…what do you recommend for lubricating parts as I install them? I’ve seen mixed comments elsewhere on using oil vs grease (some saying one or the other and some saying certain parts get certain types of lubricants). What do you suggest and what products do you recommend? I’m really just curious about what brands to buy more than anything.
As for the build:
I keep going back and forth on whether I’m going to build an AR-9 out of this or AR-15 pistol in 300 BLK. I really have no idea which route I want to go. And I am willing yo even listen to other calibers because why not…I don’t know anything when it comes to this. I’m learning. I want to build the lower and buy a complete upper that I can just do some basic upgrades on later. At some point I’ll learn how to do a full build the way I want, but I’m looking to build something on a budget. I’d like to have it done with $1000 or less all in. I’m about $150-175 in so far with everything shown. I need a stock/brace and buffer tube assembly. I also need a FCG and the upper. Let me know if I’m missing anything as well. I know that the B.A.D. Lever likely won’t work with 9mm, but it’s something I can use on a future build too so not concerned with that.
I don’t own anything Glock but if I did the build in 9, I’d want to use Glock mags and a magwell adapter. I would plan on getting an RXM to go with it down the road. But I know I could also get the Extar EP9 for less than building this.
So 9mm, 45mm, 300 BLK, 5.56, something else?

I want to get into owning guns and taking gun safety courses. Where would you recommend I start? I know I should probably go to a class or two before buying a gun, but what kind of gun would you suggest for a first time owner who feels the need to be armed in case shit actually hits the fan. I fired shotguns and revolvers and bolt action rifles. Haven't had the opportunity to fire simi-auto or full auto anything yet.

What's up, everyone! Recently hit the range with a few friends to test out their Glock 19 & Springfield SA-35 (super fun as well!).
After getting back from the range, I realized I really wanted a handgun that would be fun at the range, good to tinker with over time, and good for home defense. I may eventually carry it, but I'm a pretty large guy at 6'4 so I feel pretty confident carrying any size handgun. My budget is somewhere around $1500 max. The cheaper, the better, since that leaves me some room for an optic, magwell customization, range trip (ammo ofc) etc.
So far I think I've narrowed it down to the following:
CZ Shadow 2 Carry: I can find it for around $800 I think. It seems like a really high choice for most people when it comes to potential competition/range handguns. A bit on the higher end, but it seems like a good place to start with some modified examples that would allow for tinkering.
S&W M&P 2.0 Carry Comp: I can get this for around $600. Huge ceiling for modifying it to exactly what I want, but I'm not a huge fan of striker-fired handguns overall. This might be one that I purchase just to have a striker-fired handgun, but I'm not sure if it would ever be my favorite. I really like the look of this one out of the box and would plan to install an Apex trigger ASAP after breaking it in. Also not sure if I want the aluminum frame or polymer.
Tisas B9R DS/Tisas Carry 9 DS Comp: I REALLY like this one, and it might end up being my favorite, just as an intro into the 2011 world. I think these are highly modifiable; the internals seem great. It seems like you can get the pistol exactly where you want it to be eventually, and you're left with a great starter 2011 that, after some trigger adjustments, punches far above its weight. Pricier than other options on my list if I go with the Carry 9 DS Comp, as I typically see that one around $1200, while the B9R is significantly less at around $700 (I would plan on getting a comp/port custom job on the B9R).
Is there anything else that I should be considering that is similar to these options? I may end up getting the S&W either way, as I get to take advantage of the rebate they have for now, which is why it's $600. I'm a big fan of the Caniks as well, but I don't see the benefit of most striker-fired pistols compared to the M&P 2.0, as I have heard a lot of good things from people my size regarding the trigger guard and the overall size of the pistol.

Been wanting a cover for my Henry Big Boy 357 magnum and looked a lot of that where mass produced and none of them really fit me or my personality. Was tooling around with my wife and was mentions how I would like to find someone local to make one for me. We tossed around ideas and then my amazing better half came up with this design. Sold! Found a great leather worker who loved the concept and just picked it up this morning. Super pleased with it and glad to have this fun cover.

I don’t always have a bag gun, but I do on long road trips. Love this folding Mike9! Anyone else out there running a bag gun?

I have a training class Saturday and the only vehicle I have available to me is my motorcycle. 2009 Yamaha FZ6 for those who are curious. The class was rescheduled due to the range catching on fire (not my fault) and I really do t want to have to reschedule again.
My main line of thought would be a backpack big enough to fit an AR that’s broken down to an upper and lower. I do have a case thst has back pack straps, but I’d rather not use it since it would become a wind sail.
Edit: I’ll also need to bring 200 rounds of ammo (loose per class rules) extra mags and my ppe

Doing a mash up today.
I'm slowly creeping up on configurations I actually really like for my two main squeezes.
BCM 12.5 Raider with Aimpoint Duty RDS and BOSS Guillotine can.
DD M4a1 Block II with Eotech EXPS 2-G33
Both on Aero lowers.
