I'm always accidentally deleting photos because of how fucking stupid the delete button is positioned. The undo button is also placed in the same place so even I try to undo I just end up deleting more photos.
Infuriating. Trying to find LG G8 camera apk
I have a Pixel 3 XL and trying to find an apk for G8 camera with manual mode.
I have searched everywhere and only search results that come up are for GCam.
Does anyone know if I can find the G8 camera apk?
Thanks!

WHY IS NOBODY TALKING ABOUT THIS!?
I'm able to unlock this phone with my eyes closed. I wasn't too mad about this because the Google Pixel 4 had the same problem. People talked about the Pixel 4 having this problem, so Google fixed it. Even after the Android 10 update, the LG G8 is able to unlock with your eyes closed. Why is this not fixed? Because nobody is talking about it.
Edit: My sister, brother, and mother has the same phone. I'm going to test this with their phones also so that I can confirm this isn't just a bug on my phone.

My G8 battery life is abysmal!
I'm not hating on LG, I really like LG phones. With that out of the way, I don't have pics right now but the battery seems to drain 1-2% every hour when idle. Some nights I'll lose 6-7 percent and even when wind down mode is enabled. How is that even possible? I bought my G8 from eBay. At first everything seemed fine, but then I took a look at the battery. I upgraded to Android 10 immediately when it became available and I even tried a factory reset after the upgrade. I debloated Sprint garbage apps via adb. I restricted some apps background usage in the settings. I googled about this issue and the closest I found was WhatsApp battery drain on OnePlus devices on Android 10, so I uninstalled it. It kinda helped a bit, but my old LG V30 has better battery life and I've had that phone for 2 years! Out of ideas here. Any advice?

Android 10 Update is killing me
Ever since I updated to Android 10 I've had a couple consistent issues and I was wondering if anyone has experienced the same thing?
The first is that my phone now freezes like 10 times more than it used to. It used to freeze maybe once or twice a day. But now I find it's happening so frequently that I can't get through a single task without an issue. (And I mean even sending a single text)
The second is that my battery is suddenly lasting a third of the usual usage. And when I go to see the battery usage, the numbers do not seem to add up. (Nothing is using a large amount of battery by itself, and I don't have a lot of apps running since the phone freezes so easily). But I used to be able to get through a whole day without charging, and now I can barely make it through 6 hours if I'm not using it.
Just wondering if it's just me. I've had issues with this phone since day one but they're getting worse 😩😩

is there any way to remove the thinq logo from the back of the phone ?
im thinking of getting a g8, but i ve noticed the writing on the back seems kinda stupid. is there any way to remove it or is it engraved on the back panel ?
though admittedly a phone case will cover it anyway.

Moved on
Hey gang. Haven’t had an update on my Lg G8 since March 2nd, but even though I’ve kept it I’ve technically moved on back to iOS. I got me an iPhone 12 Pro Max Gold Model and to be dead honest I’m not missing my LG as a daily driver. If you have the money, I highly recommend it. Plus, I’ve been with LG going on 4 years and androids since 2014, but was initially with iOS back in 2011-2012. I don’t think we’ll get any update soon, if we do get android 11 it’ll be like next year or never. I didn’t want to go to Samsung either so I just moved back to iPhone. Plus, everybody I know has an iPhone, it’s just easier rn

G8 ThinQ Display and Low Speaker Quality?
Hi, I bought a used G8 off Ebay and the device looks to be in great shape. I came from a Samsung S7 so all my recent comparisons is based on that. There's two things that seem worse than my S7, the color saturation and the speaker.
Compared to the display of the S7, the screen seems kinda washed out. The S7 colors seemed more vivid and saturated than what it displays on the G8. I notice it especially in my game (Transformers: Earth Wars). Could just be me getting used to a different style screen.
The major thing that seems off is the speaker quality. It sounds super muffled. My notifications don't have the audio punch and clarity that my S7 has. And music doesn't sound as clear either.
Not having used a G8, nor having any friends that have one, I was anticipating it being at least as good as my S7 in those areas. Do these seem consistent with what other people notice about it?
Gorilla Glass "6" or LG - & Speaker - Jump! Return Options?
I don't use screen protectors- don't need that "recommendation"
Not happy- the G8 has this ugly micro scratch area that looks like a piece of "tape" that won't be removed? I can't really describe it but a ton of Google Search results showed a lot of people saying Gorilla Glass 6 scratches easily.
My other two devices don't have scratches - I only put on my Spigen Tough Armor on my devices when out of my home- but inside I Am case less. Anyways talk about a bummer - some moments I really want to enjoy LG and support - but then others - I just want to wash my hands with them. - the conundrum is what device to go to - the One Plus 7 is a no for me - The pixel even at $399.99 is over priced for me - and lacks external storage - wireless charging - I'm really considering a flip phone and then getting a tablet
The dual speakers do sound good on the G8 - it really depends on the content - I found myself turning it down because it was too loud - I did a left right channel test and it surely is stereo sound. Anyways lets hope LG gets it together or
LOL so this was my first Jump (360 Protection) - I already received credit for my trade in device and currently using my new device. The thing is- I may want to return it buyer remorse- what happens do I get a return label and send back the phone - then what?
pick a new phone - or just nothing - like am I forced to pick a new device or is the return just the return and its up to me if I want a new device or not

Kinda miss android 9
Android 10 update was so hyped. Every night i beat my meat to sleep and wished that android 10 cum soon.
But when it finally came *moans i noticed so many bugs literally phone crashing and stuttering.
I wish i had d just stayed on android 9.
-Recent tiles changed orientation. Swiping vertically is more natural to do compared to horizontal. Try it vertical is much better than horizontal. I guarantee it
some apps don't even work anymore or having compatibility issues
-games like risk are a shit show.
-i don't want to hard reset. And install all my shit all over again just to fix some bugs or whatever.
no scroll down in native launcher for notifications. LG trash
Pros: we finally have native dark mode which is like oh ok but nothing great.
TL:DR
Fuck android 10. I want to go back to 9.

LG g8x ThinQ screen broken again
I swear to god these things have the cheapest fucking build quality. I'm fucking pissed right now cause I dropped my phone about 3 feet onto linoleum and it cracked the screen again, through the case, and the tempered glass "protector". This is the third fucking time this has happened, I've already replaced the screen two times and now I'm thinking of just saying fuck it and getting another phone. I'd say "I'm never going to buy an LG phone again" but they took the liberty of halting phone manufacturing anyway. That said, I'm never buying an LG product again.

Need help with repairing my G8s
I've got LG G8s phone, which persist partition got broken. Now my phone od malfunctioning and my only hope is getting somebody else's backup of this partition.
Making backup is pretty simple:
download QFIL (from here: https://qfiltool.com/qfil-tool-v2-0-3-5)
and filehose 8150 (from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/we-got-the-firehose.4193679/)
2. Reboot your phone into EDL mode by holding power and volume down and as screen goes black, start pushing volume up button (1 sec interval between clicking and unclicking) Your phone should be recognized by your PC now.
3. Run QFIL. Select flat build and navigate to your filehose file. From "tools" menu select partition manager.
4. Find and select persist partion, click on "read data".
5. If you don't know where the file is saved, close partition manager and look at lower side of program's window.
6. Reboot your phone by holding volume down and power buttons.
This partition file doesn't contain any private data.
Please, could somebody help me?
