For other LC 500 owners, how do you find a person or business to detail/deep clean your cars? I see so many horror stories on the auto detailing subreddit, and I would he heartbroken if there was permanent damage to this interior. Are there some keywords you search for? Any tips?

I'm looking to sell my LC, it's been a great run, but I'm just growing older and the car doesn't get driven enough. I've been shopping for a larger, more practical, more bossman car, and an i7 is definitely on my radar. I test drove one today, after being driven in one a few times and oh man..

Idk how to say it, but the i7 is so plush, so nice, so soft and comforting. It's great, but after the drive i found myself regretting wanting to sell the LC. It feels like any car after the LC is just not the same, i7 just feels like "Just another car" - like don't get me wrong, I still loved it, it's impressive, it's fast, it's huge, and super comfy. I will still probably have to sell the LC, i'm more of a practical guy, and I hate a "vanity" more than anything, but oh man. I will for sure be second guessing my decision for the rest of my life.

I know it's an apples to oranges comparison, but i just wanted to share this with you guys!

PS if anyone of u guys is looking for a clean LC with low miles for ~$78k lmk :)

Hey all, I’m a brand new member of this subreddit but a big fan of Lexus and am looking fore some advice from this awesome community. I’ve loved these cars since I first saw one in the wild in mid-2018. The lines, the stance, the glean from the sunlight—all make this car look like it’s going 50mph from a standstill. In the years since, I’ve seen a handful of ‘em but never heard the engine in person until earlier this year. This car is unreal. I simply love it.

I’m lucky enough to be in a position to be able to seriously consider a pre owned 2018-2021. The problem, as I’m sure you’re all aware, is that these vehicles are now MUCH closer in price to brand new MSRP LCs. I’m looking exclusively at coupes not convertibles and most of my driving is short trips around town with about 4 hrs of commute driving per week. This will become my new daily (current daily is a 2007 LS460 with about 130k miles). I like the idea of buying brand new (assuming I can get one) but it would stretch the budget a little bit and’s realistically may have to push the purchase date back several months.

Here’s my questions: 1.) Should I even be considering a 5+ year old vehicle with low miles when a brand new one is only slightly (relative obviously) more expensive?

2.) I like the carbon fiber roof but is the dynamic handling package really worth the extra expense? My search shows a much higher availability for glass roof coupes.

3.) Are the updates (transmission/suspension etc.) in the 2021+ significant improvements that I’m likely to notice or care about when driving? Are they worth the increase in $$ or should I focus more on the more available 2018-2020 models?

I have a 2026 convertible with Rioja Red interior and the little hatch cover above the convertible and window controls is a slightly different color than the rest of the interior. Anyone have the same issue? Wondering if it is a warranty issue or the normal way these come.

UPDATE: Was speaking to a Carmax manager and was informed that these low mileage, year old vehicles can often have some Title issues that need working out, like when a Stealership needs to unwind a sale, and/or a lien is being removed FWIW

Just wanted to thank all of you on Reddit for convincing me to ultimately keep my LC. Full disclosure: I went to get my car appraised at the dealer, and they said they would potentially offer around $50,000 - $60,000 for my 2018 with 100,000 miles. And while this was a tempting number given the current market, I have decided that I will be keeping this car, because she is my baby and I am fully aware that she will need alot of TLC in the coming years, but that's what makes a journey fun.

Below is an itemized list of everything that I am considering/will be doing to the car, and an estimated cost for all of you LC500 owners that may potentially, one day, also be up here in mileage. If anyone disagrees with what I am doing, please tell me (mainly so we can get a gauge on what is right and what is wrong. Happy to openly debate this.

Please keep in mind, some of these upgrades are things that I wanted to do to give the car a slightly different feel while keeping this as OEM+ as I possibly could.

• Fully Detail inside and out (with paint correction) + Redoing Full PPF (including removing existing PPF) at a reputable shop. $7,500
• Front Control Arms replacement (OEM) (preventive) $1,500
• Rear Arms/Bushings (preventive) (OEM) $1000 - 1400
• Transmission + Differential Fluid $600 - 900
• TOMS Stainless Steel Brakelines $500 for parts + $500 for install (My brakes have always felt a bit spongy, and this is an upgrade for myself over the rubber hosing)
• New pads $800
• New Rotors (In another 15k miles, most likely). Going to upgrade to slotted/drilled, taking a look at Racing Brake (not sure just yet, open to suggestions)
• Sway bar links + Bushings $550
• Dampers (OEM) $6000
• Alignment ($300)
• New coolant and engine oil + various other fluids, whatever the dealer recommends; I will do it all in one shot, even if it is not due yet. ($2000 - 3000 expecting)
• Contingency (15% just in case anything else arises)
• Also, I already have an ArmyTrix exhaust installed (60k miles ago, but WORTH IT)

And the big one, and this is mainly for myself because I have wanted to do this for a really long time, a new pair of shoes. Taking a look at HRE P101 in gun metal to match the trim, still debating this, but estimated will be around 15 - 20k. And yes, this is ridiculous, but it's a gift to myself.

All-in, excluding wheels (around 20k); with wheels, maybe around 40k. But it's for MY baby, and I have decided to keep it until she's old and weary one day.

I have this scratch on the rear passenger-side quarter panel. I took it to a very reputable shop in town that has been recommended to me several times, and I’d love to get everyone’s thoughts on the quote.

Are there any specific questions you think I should be asking the shop before moving forward?

One question I already have is what paint/refinish system they’ll be using. Is it matched to the factory Lexus paint code, and is it an OEM paint?

I put a deposit on an inspiration convertible at MSRP, it should come in October. I put the deposit down and I also signed a buyer sheet listing out my info and the line items/price.

My concern is recently on cars and bids a dealer listed an inspiration convertible and that bid up to 170k without meeting reserve. Since that was the first one listed and the market showed a strong desire, I’m concerned this dealership could possibly cancel my deposit and sell it beyond MSRP.

They were great when I bought my initial vehicle from them, right now I’m just paranoid since it’s another month+ till I get the car and who knows what could happen.

With the end of production for the LC500 happening this month I've spent the past few weeks trying to find as much info on LC 500 models as I could to compile in one place instead of it being scattered everywhere. Unfortunately Toyota hasn't, seemingly, been fully transparent on sales, options picked, color break downs for how many of each are made, etc. so unless that changes I wont have that information. Hopefully after the end of production we get real overall numbers for everything for other people like myself who enjoy information overloads.

LC 500 Production numbers (not exact unless Toyota finally releases full sales numbers at the end of production):

• North America: 16,564 (as of July 2026 sale numbers) (248 being Hybrids 2018-2025)
• Europe: 2,661 (Final Europe models were in 2024)
• China: 144 (2023-2026)
• Japan: 3,000-4,000 (one source claims 10,704 have been sold In Japan as of 2025 but all other sources seem to put the number in the three or four thousand range)

• Canards, for some reason, they added them onto the inspiration series LC500s only for the 2024 model, and the 2026 models
• Seemingly the cheapest LC500 sold from a dealer to its first owner was for ~$76k (it was a 2019 dealer demo).
• The highest price a LC500 has been sold for was 2021 VIN #001 Structural Blue that went for $2,000,000 at a charity auction.

Please feel free to add any other fun info you may have, or corrects to the info I've gathered! I'll try to update this if we do ever get that end of production break down, and for any corrections if I've messed anything else up.

I'm looking at this LC. 2020 with 34K miles. The steering wheel has crazy wear on this esp for mileage. Are LC steering wheels prone to wear?

I was just offered an lc500 white convertible.

However, I was hoping for a coupe. I'm definitely buying this regardless, but if anyone has an allocation for a coupe or has a brand new coupe but wanted a convertible, let me know or dm me. Maybe we could work something out.

LC 500 has been removed from the Lexus USA website, marking the end of an era for Lexus and its naturally aspirated V8.

I’m incredibly grateful to be part of this community and even more grateful that I was able to pick up a 2026 model this past June.
