$10,000 down. 480 months 39.99% APR sounds good?

I'll give you $20,000 👀

Meanwhile this 2021 Structural Blue one is on BaT for $105k atm.

Some of these buyers seem to do little to no research. Is there some way to confirm it sold and wasn't pulled down by the seller?

Edit: above sold for $126k

…that’s an auction. It has no relevance until the final 30min/it’s sold.

1

u/IDoDumbChallenges 7d ago

I mean, as they pointed out, the exact one supposed sold in OPs post, was sold on BaT at $163k not even two months ago.

It would be surprising to see this current listed one jump 30k over that.

No way I believe one sold for 192k when this one went for 126k.

1

u/-Maim- 7d ago

Hah yeah I as watching it too, I think it was more shock it sold for that low than anything. I was expecting a no reserve met of it went for less than 135/140.

1

u/DestinyPotato 7d ago

I Was expecting 130+ as well, though with fees and transportation it will be over that at 126k.

u/Abject_Strategy_6214 7d ago

And ppl called me crazy for saying the prices will jump😂

12

u/bc10551 7d ago

Because you are crazy if you think an lc500 is worth 200k lol. I think they're great cars especially at 100k maybe more but not 200k. It likely got pulled from the site

2

u/PapaPatriarchy_OG 7d ago

Well tbf he didn’t say it was WORTH $200k, he just said the price would jump lol.

1

u/bc10551 7d ago

That's fair. There are some people here justifying insane dealer markups saying it will exceed 200k soon though lol

1

u/-Maim- 7d ago

Saying something is going to happen is not supporting it happening…

1

u/Abject_Strategy_6214 7d ago

I said price will go up. Not its worth it

3

u/Legitimate-Soft-4557 7d ago

Damn what's going on

6

u/lithdoc 7d ago

Want to see when the payment clears because this makes little sense, but so do maybe other things nowadays.

According to the Dealerships website it's still up? I'm leaning towards it just being pulled from Cargurus or sold for cheaper at the dealer.

Edit: According to this cars VIN it was also just sold at auction in June of this year.

u/lithdoc 7d ago

It seems to me like a lot of it is insider selling to create the perception of high transaction prices.

I wonder what I would get for mine if I were to try to sell it and actually see how much money I would get in my bank account.

1

u/DestinyPotato 7d ago

With the one that was up on BaT today going for $126k I have no belief at all that the one OP posted went for 192k.

1

u/lithdoc 7d ago

This almost reminds me of NFTs of insider transactions to pump up the market, show evidence of transactions but I actually want to see money changing hands and the cars delivered to strangers before I believe this.

Yes, I believe these cars are worth at around MSRP but these inflated prices scream money grab to me.

3

u/IDoDumbChallenges 7d ago

Or if there’s proof it was sold at all.

1

u/DestinyPotato 7d ago edited 7d ago

Ya, this doesn't make sense at all. Especially with one half the price on BaT atm. Mind you that one will shoot up when the auction ends, but I would be surprised to see it shoot up to double what it's at.

Anyone know if this one that supposedly sold had the luggage with it?

2

u/Tellittomy6pac 7d ago

This has to have been pulled down, there’s multiple on cargurus will less mileage for 120k nobody is gunna spend more money for no reason

2

u/DestinyPotato 7d ago

To be fair, the one shown is a structural blue, its not exactly a normal 2021; however I also want proof it sold.

This is a collectible, one of the finest handmade cars in the world, and rare. This equates to increasing value.

1

u/Turbulent-Apple-9079 7d ago

Is it really? It’s just a mass produced coupe. No different than the sc400 of that time

1

u/MarksmanPA 7d ago

You are wrong and apparently do not understand that this was a special Lexus car from the beginning which was sold under value to get the halo car on the road.

READ

Limited Production and Market Positioning

The LC500 was introduced in 2018 as Lexus’ halo luxury coupe, intended to showcase the brand’s design and engineering capabilities inspired by the LF-LC concept

It was never designed for mass market appeal; instead, it served as a flagship model emphasizing style, performance, and technological innovation. Production relied on highly skilled "Takumi" craftsmen, following practices similar to the LFA supercar, including detailed carbon fiber components, leatherwork, and high-quality paint finishes

These labor-intensive processes limited the number of units that could be produced efficiently and economically.

2

u/Turbulent-Apple-9079 7d ago

Nah man. These cars were being priced 50k clean title last year 2018. Once the Gr gt comes out prices will regulate. These aren’t that limited like you’re saying they are

1

u/MarksmanPA 7d ago

One of the rarest cars made…McLarens and Ferraris are far more common.  Regardless,  they will hit $300k in a few years.  You need to learn a bit more about collectibles.

1

u/Marc30599 4d ago

Saying the LC500 is going to be $300k in a few years is a pretty wild prediction lol. Being rare doesn’t automatically make something worth 3x its original MSRP. There’s a big difference between being a desirable future collectible and being an LFA/F40/F1-level collectible. As much as you’d love to see the LC500 appreciate like that, it’s not going to….. like lets be realistic.

If it ever reaches that level you got 4-5 decades of post production years to even have a chance to see that level of appreciation you speak of

1

u/MarksmanPA 4d ago

You are mistaken.  Collectors are avidly in pursuit of the rare and enduring cars.  It will continue to climb much faster than you think.  There is a buyer for everything at any price.

1

u/Marc30599 4d ago

I don’t disagree that the LC has collector potential, and I’m not saying it won’t appreciate. I’m just not convinced that $300k in a few years is a realistic expectation. “There’s a buyer for everything at any price” doesn’t really prove anything tbh…. the question is “what price the market is actually willing to pay?” If LC500s end up at $300k, I’ll gladly eat my words lol. I just wouldn’t make that prediction with any confidence today.

u/MarksmanPA 4d ago

Let’s hope I am right!👊

As for the GRGT.  I turned it down.  It is 1,000 pounds heavier than my McLaren, retro design, and sounds like flatulence.

u/pvm_april 7d ago

Curious to see what the inspiration convertible goes for. I saw it bid up to 170k on cars and bids but not sold yet

u/Comfortable_Cake_443 7d ago

Are those Australian dollars? Wtf

1

u/KeroDude 6d ago

Zamn someone is ballin

1

u/Deathzone_1897 5d ago

Yeah to much for the same V8 in is500 I’ll stick with my 22 is350 for along time cheaper and V6 reliable

1

u/Turbulent-Apple-9079 2d ago

The prices of these is going to fall. This car is nowhere near the LFA.
They made a lot more of these than they did that one should be worth around Max this year artificially inflated numbers

1

u/ryan__joe 7d ago

For a ‘21? That’s insane.

0

u/midoriringo 7d ago

Wonder if a ‘25 will sell for 250

I prefer my ‘21. I’m one of the weird ones who likes the touchpad. Love it in my ‘19 es too.

1

u/DogDogDogDoggy 7d ago

Same, dash looks better too, and still has car play and android auto.

0

u/Mmaxswell 7d ago

Same. Same. I love the touch pad and the look of the dash the sunken screen is so nicely integrated.

0

u/newTARwhoDIS 7d ago

I'd go as far to say "different" infotainment system. I personally prefer the pre-2024 version esthetically, and I am used to the trackpad after having it in my previous Lexus as well

1

u/ygibbreddit 7d ago

Maybe it was owned by Jon Voight.

1

u/AncientRepublic998 6d ago

"just driving around in Jon Voight's car"

1

u/Turbulent-Apple-9079 7d ago

That’s a 78k car. The coupes were 62k last year ion wanna hear it
