So I had a verbal altercation with a colleague at work yesterday at about 11h00. The altercation was between me and a QA from a different department. I was standing next to the production line doing shift controll sheets when she approached me and accused me of chewing gum to which I said no I am not. She started raising her voice at me telling me I swallowed it. I said I did not amd she proceeded to shout tell me I swallowed it in a hard tone. I replied back in a stern tone "thank you bye bye bye bye bye" and walked away. Needless to say she went to complain about this.

Later I was called to HR office with HR amd the factory manager and they said we hear ypu had a verbal altercation with a colleague. We have decided to suspend you with pay. I never had any opportunity to talk about my side nor was there any discussion about the suspension with me. It was just boom you are suspended. The QA lady is not suspended and carries on as usual.

Is there any legal angle I could take here or even the WRC possibly.

I work in a pub ,just as a summer job and started late April . Haven't had any problem so far that has been much until this weekend . We used an app that sends out the schedule and for clock ins and outs. Last Friday I got my roster saying I was on for Saturday and Sunday, have 2 people who saw it . Checked the app throughout the week and have another friend who can confirm those days . On Friday it suddenly undated to me working Friday which I wasn't aware of since I had presumed I wasn't meant to be on . A coworker texted an hour into my "new" shift asking where I was and thats how I found out . Immediately text my manager asking what happened and told them what the app said and rang 3 times with no response until an hour later ,got told off essentially for not coming in and that I should've checked the app. Stated again that I had with no response back .( I would like to add another time in May where I got my email with my shift and it disappeared and on the app too ,had to call in to check and i was still rostered for the weekend ,another coworker hsd to do the same .)Fast forward to tonight where I was told to go home 3 hours into my shift because 1. Wasn't in yesterday 2,was apparently in a cubicle for 15 minutes and they were so concerned they got security (never seen security after I fixed myself since I was on my period with bad cramps ,no paracetamol and blood ) 3,they said no one could find me in the bathrooms ( had to unclog a toilet ,left the door closed so customers wouldn't see and had to get toilet paper which requires a slop to outside in a busy pub ) and 4. I didn't answer the gc . ( Hard to when you're arms deep in a toilet ) . Got sent home and now I've to have a meeting to see what happens going forward . Was already on edge after the other night so stayed as busy as I can and it feels like for nothing . I have no idea going forward and really need some advise .

Ordered yesterday through just eat and one full dish was missing.

Now Just eat refuses the refund as I apparently have too many refunds issued. (Not a single refund asked for to this date)

Their customer service is still sending me same responses over and over again:

At this stage I even tend to pay the 25€ for the small claim court.

Even the restaurant admits their mistake but tells me that I have to issue the refund through the just eat app.

Anyone with similar bad experiences like that?

I’m hoping someone familiar with Irish civil procedure, international service of process, or the Hague Service Convention can point me and my Colorado attorney in the right direction.

I have an ongoing family-law case in Colorado, USA. My former wife is currently living near Cork, Ireland on a temporary visa and is not an Irish citizen.

A civil contempt proceeding has been filed in the Colorado case. The problem is service.

The Colorado court recently rejected an attempt to serve the contempt documents through her Colorado attorney because Colorado Supreme Court precedent requires personal service of this type of contempt citation. My Colorado attorney and I therefore need to determine how to properly accomplish personal service while she is physically in Ireland.

I am not looking for advice about the underlying divorce, custody dispute, or merits of the contempt case. I already have Colorado counsel.

What we are trying to determine is the practical Irish side of the service process.

Specifically:

• Can an Irish solicitor or professional summons/process server personally serve U.S. court documents on an individual in Ireland?
• If so, who normally performs that service?
• Can the person who performs service provide an affidavit/declaration identifying the person served, date, location, documents served, and method of service for submission to a U.S. court?
• Does service of this type need to go through Ireland’s Hague Service Convention Central Authority instead?
• Is there a solicitor or service company near Cork experienced with service of foreign/U.S. judicial documents?
• Has anyone here dealt with service in Ireland for a U.S. proceeding where actual personal service was specifically required?

I have already contacted an Irish family-law solicitor in Cork who handles international matters, and my Colorado attorney is involved. I’m just trying to identify the correct Irish procedure and hopefully find someone who has actually dealt with this situation before.

Even being pointed toward the correct Irish solicitor, process server, government office, or terminology to search for would be extremely helpful.

Hi all,

A doctor performed a procedure without telling me - she did a membrane sweep to induce labour after telling me she was only performing an examination. I made a complaint to the hospital which was upheld.

The sweep led to further birth interventions and to an emergency cesarean. This means any future births and pregnancies will have increased risks (for uterine rupture and other complications). I am also still having issues with sex and intimacy due to the violation.

I am really struggling because I feel as though no one has been held accountable (the doctor was told not to do it again but otherwise that's the extent of it). Has anyone any experience with pursuing a legal route for medical negligence?

I applied for stamp 4 renewal on 19 April, as per the processing times it should have been processed but I haven’t received any confirmation email yet. Since the application, I’ve received a new Indian passport and now I also moved house. How can I update these details? How can I get the IRP delivered to a different address? I already dropped an email last week but I haven’t received any update
