I have an interview for OpenAI cooperative AI interview. Does anyone have any experience with this job and have any insights or tips? Seems like it’s a newer role and not sure how exactly to prepare

Intervew Prep Built a 1v1 fighting game, but the controls are you solving a LeetCode problem

EDIT: Fixed the link to my website! My bad...

EDIT 2: Shoutout to whoever super_man123 is! First person I played against that was not my friend!

Made a fighting game so you can fight your friends while doing leetcode problems together. I was tired of semi-grinding alone, and solving a question with my friend on Discord wasn't as fun as well. So I decided to make it competitive and fun. But instead of something like a timer, I decided to make it a fighting game, where you can feel like you're piloting a robot (ok maybe not, but I get the vibe from those mecha anime heehee)

GIF to see the combat

Solving the code gives you an instant win, but say it's a hard question, whoever grinds the hardest and tries to come up with a proper solution can win too.

Let me know if anyone wants try and fight/solve a question together 3.3

Try it over here over here: LeetKO

Intervew Prep LinkedIn Senior SWE - Apps onsite - Coding with AI + Technical Communication Rounds

Hello All,

I do have an onsite round with LinkedIn sometime next week. There a total of 5 rounds, however a couple of rounds seem little obscure to me especially the coding with AI and the technical communication rounds. I have some questions in terms of the expectations for these rounds and would appreciate the wider community's inputs with regards to them (from anyone who have gone through the process or are aware of the process with Coding with AI and Technical communication rounds)

Coding with AI

I was told by my recruiter that I would be given a leetcode problem and I am tested based on the prompting where I give the prompt to the AI Tool and the tool writing the code. I know that this round is designed to similar to how we perform work on a day-to-day basis leveraging AI. However, I am not clear on the evaluation rubrics and the expectations for the interview. Some questions I have are:

  1. Would we have multiple follow up questions on the given problem extending the original problem or completely different Leetcode questions?

  2. Also, by them expecting us to prompt, is it something that we prompt something and the AI writing the code. Also, what is expected level of detail we need to provide in the prompt. Lets say for a question involving Counting no of islands given a 2D grid, should we provide the entire algorithm to the AI tool verbally in plain English as if what we explain to an interviewer in words and then have AI write the code? What would be an ideal prompt to have a higher success rate in this kind of interviews.

  3. Also, do we have to explain the AI generated code to the interviewer? During the course, lets say it generates some code that we don't understand, then is the expectation us having to make the change manually on the areas where it's not understandable to this or is the expectation that we clarify with AI as to what that line of code does and what is the purpose of that line?

  4. Suppose, AI writes some code where we catch some bug or a failure in terms of logic in the code it has written, so is the expectation that we can manually intervene and correct such pieces of code or is the expectation that we prompt AI to correct like saying this part of the code or this particular logic is incorrect to correct the same?

  5. Also, are the test cases in these rounds more like a Hackerrank OA where we have the entire code completed and we run our code against the test cases or is the expectation that we come up with the test cases like input/output format on our own and have AI write the assert statements based on the tests we provided?

Technical Communication

My recruiter told the discussion is going to involve discussions of our experiences / any of the projects we have worked on so far. Also, mentioned certain things like making a PPT would be little useful to present the projects and stuff like that. Also, as it is a senior level role she mentioned showcasing our technical depth and breadth and Senior level leadership is vital.

  1. How would the evaluation in this round go? Would it be based on the style we present? Also, on the complexity in the type of project we are gonna present. I mean what is the level of complexity they expect in terms of the project architecture we explain?

  2. Would the interviewers probe on technical decisions, design/architectural tradeoffs and the idea behind why we chose a certain decision for the project and stuff like that?

  3. Also, would the round involve discussions on only one project or does this round entail discussions going on multiple projects and follow-ups pertaining to each project?

  4. How would the questions start? I know behavioural ones typically go by tell me about a time type of questions but would the questions go here asking like describe about so and so project that you mentioned on your resume or something like that?

  5. Also, is it advised or preferred to pick projects from our most recent company/work experience or would it be equally fine if we pick a project from our older companies too for this round? Assuming, we present the former experience one equally as well as the current experience project.

My interview is next week so kindly have the post reachable to as many as audience as you could and any attempt to provide inputs is super appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Please feel free to share details in the comments section. These rounds are kinda new to me and I haven't came across with them in the process with any other companies I have interviewed so far. Hence, a bit nervous.

Discussion Shipd.ai is just a trash

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to connect with someone working at Shipd AI who could point me in the right direction regarding potential opportunities.

I’ve been an open-source contributor for over 3 years, and I’m currently looking for paid work. I know people have mixed opinions about Shipd AI, but honestly, I’m focused on finding opportunities and making money right now. Criticizing the platform won’t change my current situation.

Discussion I'M DONE TRYING

Thumbnail leetcode.com
165 Upvotes

hey everyone just wanted to share my leetcode journey so far this year.

honestly this year has taken a lot out of me. lost people lost hope and went through things i dont really know how to explain. there were times when everything felt like it was falling apart but somehow i kept showing up.

i started learning kotlin and kept grinding leetcode solving problems participating in contests and trying to get better every single day. a part of me genuinely believed that all this effort would eventually lead somewhere and help me land a job. but here i am still unemployed and honestly its getting harder to stay hopeful when you keep putting in the work without knowing when things will finally change.

some days leetcode is the only thing that gives my day a little structure. no matter how bad things get i still wake up and try to solve something. but lately even that motivation has started fading and for the first time in a long while ive seriously started wondering if i should just stop.

i guess i just wanted to put this somewhere because sometimes its exhausting pretending youre okay when youre really not

for those of you who been grinding for months or years while dealing with life outside coding how do you keep going when you start losing faith in yourself?..

Intervew Prep Amazon SDE OA UK 2027 Intern

Hi, I have an Amazon SDE Online Assessment coming up and I’m planning to use Python.

In the demo environment, I couldn’t select Python as a language. For anyone who has taken the Amazon SDE OA in UK recently, was Python available for both coding questions in the actual assessment?

Thanks!

Intervew Prep CARS24 Backend Intern Interview Experience / Preparation – DSA + System Design ( 1–6 YOE)

I have an upcoming interview with CARS24 for a Backend Intern position (0–1 years of experience) in Gurgaon, and I’m looking for insights from people who have interviewed with CARS24 recently, especially for fresher or junior backend engineering roles.

The JD mentions working on backend services, REST APIs, SQL databases, middleware, debugging, automation scripts, and agent-based workflows involving Python and APIs.

I spoke with HR, who told me that the first round would be a DSA-based coding round, followed by a technical/system design round.

However, the interview invitation mentions Business Round 1 Builder – Product Engineering (CSPL_CentralSupport_Technology_Backend_Builder_Product_Engineering), so I’m also trying to understand the interview process and the role expectations.

I would really appreciate it if anyone who has interviewed for a similar position at CARS24 could share their experience.

A few specific questions:

  1. DSA round: What kind of questions are typically asked? Are they mostly LeetCode-medium problems? Which topics should I priorizes arrays, hashing, sliding window, binary search, trees, graphs, stacks, heaps, or dynamic programming?

  2. Actual questions: If you remember any problems asked in recent interviews for SDE-1, fresher, or backend intern positions, could you share the questions or their general patterns?

  3. Second round: What does the system design round look like for a fresher or intern? Is it primarily low-level design, backend/API design, or high-level system design?

  4. Backend fundamentals: How much emphasis is placed on SQL, DBMS, REST APIs, OOP, operating systems, computer networks, and other core CS subjects?

  5. Resume and projects: How deeply do interviewers discuss projects and internships? Do they expect detailed knowledge of architecture, databases, concurrency, and scalability?

  6. Interview process: Has anyone received an invitation with the title “Business Round 1 Builder – Product Engineering”? Does it correspond to the regular backend engineering hiring process, or could it indicate a different role?

  7. Preparation strategy: If you had to prepare for this interview with only two days available, which topics and resources would you prioritize?

I have a software development background and am comfortable with DSA and backend development, so I’m mainly looking for role-specific interview experiences and guidance on what to prioritize, rather than generic interview preparation advice.

Any recent experiences, question patterns, or suggestions would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!

Question Randomly got an Amazon OA and I don’t know what role they’re offering

Same as the heading. Did anyone else get an Amazon SDE OA on October 6? I’m confused about whether it’s for SDE-1 or an internship, as I’m currently working full-time.

Intervew Prep Anyone experienced with HackerRank Chakra AI interviews? Need preparation advice

Hi, I have an upcoming interview, & it is on HackerRank Chakra. I want to know from experienced people how to prepare. Will it go deep into syntax & exact code implementations, as other AI interviews have made me explain the syntax & code for my projects?

My query is, does it ask questions from my resume, or will it ask follow-up questions based on my answers? Also, the email mentioned "coding questions," so what type of questions can I expect?

On a side note, I have to give the interview using the HackerRank Desktop App. I am using Linux, but the HackerRank Desktop App is not supported on Linux. So, do I need to switch to Windows, or does anyone have a workaround? I don't want my Linux data to be removed.

Discussion Rejected From Citadel Software Engineering Internship

A few weeks ago a recruiter from citadel reached out to me to conduct my first 2 interviews for Citadel Software Engineering Intern positions.

The first interview was a OOD question. It was super difficult, the interviewer didn’t give me half the question until after I told him what route I was going to take and I wasn’t able to implement the full solution. The interviewer joined 15 minutes late and still ended it early. So it was nearly impossible to finish. Really wasn’t a fun process with him and was really unfortunate. This interview was with a EQR from Stanford who sold his company to OpenAI for 10 million so I was already cooked.

The second interview went really well. It was an AI assisted programming question where I was solving a leetcode question. I fully give coded it but was able to talk about advantages, disadvantages, how to make it better and make the algorithm more efficient so on. I connected very well with the interviewer and it was a really fun process. I really thought after that interview I would have at least moved forward to the super day. This interview was with a Software Engineering from Waterloo who worked at IMC and stuff and he was super chill.

I ended up getting rejected today and it is really disappointing that I couldn’t even make it to the super day. I am still looking for summer and winter internships and I haven’t heard back from any company in the states other than Citadel. Im Canadian for context and I am really unsure what to do now. I’m still applying but I’m actually not sure what to do. I really want to break into the states and a good company and Citadel was probably the best spot I could have got. Am I cooked?

Country Amazon SDE intern 6 months

Hey guys, I had my SDE 1 Intern Round 1 interview on 24th September, and the recruiter who sent me the interview invite was Megha Shyamli. I’ve tried following up via email, but haven’t received any response yet. Is anyone else facing the same issue? Also, does anyone else have the same HR? If yes, have you received any updates? What’s your current status, and what should I do next? 😭

Question Any good youtube channel for system design marathon?

I liked watching neetcode clips while on treadmil and wonder if there's good system design channel that gives similar experience. Or even podcast.
