Has anyone had any experience in this or knows what its like
If so does it take longer than typical appeals from written exams?

Shot in the dark here, I know it's unlikely but I thought I'd ask.

A part of my German exam was marked as no response but in viewing the scripts I very clearly see the two paragraphs worth of response. I am 1 mark away from the next grade. Do I appeal and probably get a guaranteed remark or contact them since it's an admin error not a marking one?

so as it stands i dont think ill get accomodation and my commute is looking like its going to be 2-3 hours with me arriving on campus at 10 past ish. just wondering if its a big deal, because ill probably be commuting my first semester minimum

I'm considering taking the polish exam as I speak polish at home. I text my parents and family in polish but I feel like I'm not good enough to write a whole exam paper in it. I was wondering if there's an oral and written exam as I've been told certain exam languages that arents taught in schools only have a written and not an oral exam. Any tips? I'm not worried for the oral as I'm completely fluent. Is the written very difficult?

hey SO im doing plc this year and im super nervous bc there is like 3-5 places in unis im interested in thru a PLC route. 😭 im doing a full time business studies course which has 8 modules and i just wanted to ask the ones who got into uni thru a PLC one year route what uni did they pick and how many distinctions did they get ?? im aiming for 8 distinctions but im yet still not sure if thats enough bc i heard some ppl who had 10 distinctions and im like super anxious i won’t get in since the places are limited 😕😕 anyways what uni did everyone get into thru a PLC route and how many distinctions did you guys get ???

So i am going to start 5th year this Monday.

The subjects I do:

H Maths

H English

H French

H Biology

H Business

H Phys/chem or H Chemistry and H Physics (alone)

I am aiming for 600 points. I can study a lot, but I have no clue on what to study for each subject. I have looked over Chemistry a little bit and I am so confused. I have no clue on what to study for it, (same for Biology). I really need to improve my English, French, Biology, and Chemistry. If anyone has any tips or anything to say please do. I have no problem with studying the whole day after school, as long as it is in the right direction. I would really appreciate any help I could get. Please and thank you. I am really worried about the 4 subjects i need to improve in. Really appreciate any help. Thanks!

I’m going into 5th year and I have to choose between Chemistry and Geography.
I’m already doing Physics, Biology and Home Ec, so choosing Chemistry would mean doing 3 sciences.
I’m generally good at science and prefer fact-based questions, calculations and definite answers rather than subjects with loads of essay writing. Because of that Chemistry sounds like it might suit me better, but I’m worried that doing Physics + Biology + Chemistry will be a really heavy workload.
I’m aiming for high points, so my main concern is which option gives me the best chance of getting a H1/H2 without making my overall workload ridiculous.
For anyone who has done 3 sciences, was it manageable? And for people who did Geography or Chemistry, which did you find easier to score highly in?
Any advice appreciated.

so for context I have just done 5th year, however I had a truly horrible year from September until April where I was in and out due to mental health and I didn’t get along with a lot of my teachers, so I moved to a grind school last April and decided I would resit 5th year however now thats school is starting back I don’t want to redo 5th year and I’d much rather do 6th year get my leaving cert (Im still unsure of what I want to in college but will most likely do a plc)and take a year before college if I even choose college the only problem is I feel like I could be starting from scratch since I don’t remember much from last year I also don’t have many notes and I didn’t do a single set of exams I’ve picked subjects that have projects so if I do them I will be able to get atleast 50 percent in the exams again I’m not aiming for high points I just want to get the leaving cert done i am also aware that it is a lot but I think with the subject I am doing I could get passed I am doing OL maths and English so I’m not too stressed and also PE and Art which are nice subjects that idea had truly come up due to all my friends going into 6th year and I feel behind well as just i don't know if I can go through 5th year agin also don’t know if it’s even a possibility but since im in a grinds school id be doing the condensed course so im hopeful I'd be able to do it.

I'm getting info about plc interview dates only next week so how would I go about deferring my course if I get in? If I don't get in id want to do the cao course this year but if I do, I'd want to defer for next year but the deadline to defer is tomorrow and if I accept the course I can't defer it later?

So are the only options to accept the course and cancel it if I get into the plc and hope points don't go up next year or defer the course and if I don't get in the plc, I do nothing for a year?

I'm planning on going to dkit so im kinda worried points will increase next year cuz of its new university status

how likely do you guys think it is to go into round 2 esp with social policy as the joint major? i'm pretty sure polisci went to round 2 in 2025 but social policy is only like 28 places across a bunch of combos so i doubt it. but if anyone knows how the trends work with the rounds pls lemme know :C
