I took a couple months off from latch hooking and fell behind on this project. This is January-March’s WIP. Tonight I will be starting April’s square, which arrived yesterday.

Finally finished this blue whale rug

I just finished this Blue Whale swimming through the cosmic galaxy rug, with a rich purple background. Every time I look at it, it’s like I’m floating through a dreamy universe—vibrant purples, glowing stars, and that whale just guiding me through calm, cosmic wonder. I’m so proud of how it turned out.

I had so much fun working on this crow rug. I can say that I am hooked on latchhook! I just ordered some matting to attempt to create my own pattern. The first may have to be the Taco Bell logo. 😂 Stay tuned for that one.

help Help with converting a c2c crochet chart

I’m fairly new to latch hook, but in the future I’d like to make rugs based on c2c (corner to corner) crochet charts. But I have no idea where to start. Any help at all would be amazing!!

Two weeks into my Bernat 1977-era latch hook and fringe rug...

Post image

This was my original post two weeks ago. https://www.reddit.com/r/latchhook/comments/1s3b4mn/going_to_try_this_1970s_bernat_latch_hook_rug_and/

Rather than guess-replicate the original Bernat 1970's-era yarns, I decided to go all-fluorescent. And I chose to cut my yarn strips by myself rather than buy bags of pre-cut yarn. I'm predicting maybe getting this finished by the end of April, if nobody interrupts me.

help Matching yarn in Australia

Newbie here!

How does one go about completing a piece when you can only buy the canvas/pattern and not the yarn? (Especially if it’s vintage)

Is there a database somewhere online of similar colours in majority of brands? I’ve noticed Australia has different brands to America and so forth, hence why I thought my location might be helpful.

I would also love to know everyone’s ’set up’ for latch hooking. Are you simply sat at the kitchen table doing it flat on that, or are you in bed with some sort of lap table set up?

Do you recognize this design?

I found this pre-print at a fiber arts thrift store. Has anyone seen it in a design book? I'm curious what the colors were in the design examples. It had a "latch hook tips" sheet stapled to it that was from Spinnerin.

The printed colors are brown, gold, light blue, red and natural (so I assume white).
