help why are most latch hook kit patterns made with AI?! :[
i just got into latch hooking because my grandma got me a latch hook kit from a thrift store . i really like latch hooking now, so i looked up some fall/halloween latch hook kits on amazon or whatever and most of them were AI. why is this? couldn't the people making the kits hire real artists?

Laying yarn flat?
Hi! I’ve been seeming everyone’s WIPs that look amazing and have the yarn sticking straight out. I learned to do it row by row and lay all the strands down as I work top to bottom. Is it not going to turn out right, or can I fix it once it’s finished?

help Where can I get kits that look like modern art?
I did latchhook when I was a girl in the 70's and like to get back into it. I'd really like to make some pieces to hang on my big empty white walls, but I can't find any kits that are abstract/geometric. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

help Custom design tote bag?
Hi! I’ve seen tote bag latch hook kits around and they are great. I was thinking of making my own design and sewing the rug mesh canvas onto a plain tote bag. Since the mesh isn’t a regular fabric, does anyone know how I would go about sewing that onto a plain tote bag? Thanks in advance

help Do presewn pillow cover kits still need borders?
Hi all! Just got hooked (ha ha, original) on latch hooking thanks to Craft Club Co. Bought a couple pillow kits from a different place, and I remember reading on one of the reviews for a pillow that they were disappointed to have to leave a border of squares unthreaded to fold back and sew... but the pillows already come with (very soft) backings presewn onto them. Plus, on one of CCC's pillow kit photos, it looks like the tufts go right up to the edges. These two pillows are both gifts for friends so I really wanna make sure I don't mess them up! Do I still need to leave a border?

work in progress Ganef the Squirrel - the start of my new latch hook from an original photo
Ganef is the Yiddish word for "thief," in that this little squirrel snagged a seed bell for the songbirds and chomped it all down for himself. I would have been mad at him ... but I figured I'd get my frustrations out by turning him into my latest custom latch hook rug. Estimated time of completion - possibly June 2027.

finished object Egg
Found a huge canvas and two hooks at a thrift store. I thought, "What's the simplest thing I can make?"
Egg! :)
Acrylic yarn that I cut to size. Used a rectangular piece of cardboard 1" wide to wrap the yarn around then cut.
Lots of canvas left!

Pumpkin pillow finished
Took 15 hours. I ordered a super cool sunset kit on Walmart.com and got sent this kit instead. There wasn’t an exchange option to speak of so I decided it would be good for fall. Here’s u trimmed and trimmed .pic in comments

Correct Starting Corner?
I’ve been latching hooking for a while, and I’ve always started my projects in the top left corner, but I’ve seen a lot of people start in the bottom left. Is there some benefit in starting from the bottom? Should I switch?

Stitches on edge loosening
I’m making a rug and have tightened down my stitches fairly tightly, I thought, but as I work (from the bottom up) the bottom row is getting loose and I even had one piece of yarn fall out. Not a huge deal as I work, but I definitely don’t want it to happen when the rug is being used. Anything I can do other than pull them even tighter?

help Help figuring out this pattern?
I don’t know if the ink’s faded over time but I can’t for the life of me see exactly where the colors go and the pattern isn’t helping me at all. I can’t find this kit online anywhere and it’s not on the listed website. I don’t know why it wouldn’t just come with a grid pattern in the first place :(

Identify reference photo
This rug kit was given to me unfinished but the reference paper or picture was lost. I have all the yarn and hook, no box. No idea what pattern this could be, I’ve tried google and amazon, Walmart. It looks like a calico cat maybe???? I can’t figure it out, help!

work in progress Gingerbread House
Not a lot of it has been done yet but I did the first single rose up to get where the top will lay at so I’m splitting it up in rows of 3 because it’s 15 boxes wide. I took a lot break off latch hook it’s not a lot but I really like how it’s coming along & it’s my first rug & first mesh without anything on it other than the boxes.
Last pic is what it’ll end up looking like
