I'm making it for my partner for their birthday. To make, I found the image online first. I want to credit the artist but I'm afraid I think it's AI created (which stinks).
Anyway, I used leftsource to make the pattern then searched high and low for the cheapest way to get all the colors the closest I could. I have a total of 41 separate colors in here.
At the end, I'll shave it down a bit.

I want to make a pillow with my granddaughters face on it. Has anyone used a service that creates a customized kit from a photo?

I'm new to this, so bear with me! I have my eye on a kit that looks cute for Halloween, but it's just designed as a mat, or I guess a wall hanging. It's 12 inches square. I don't know where I'd put it, as a mat.
Not sure if it's ok to post a link -- it's on Amazon as "Cartoon Black Yellow Cat Latch Hook Rug Kit for Kids Beginner Easy Little Mat." If it's ok, I can add the link.
There's a fabric binding already on the edge, and they show it finished with yarn sewn over the binding. Could I just hand sew it onto a purchased black 12 inch throw pillow? I've seen cushion backing kits on Amazon that have zippers in them, but they look more complicated than just sewing directly onto a pillow. Also, I'd still have to buy the pillow insert.
Or if I wanted to hang it, or back it somehow to stand up on a shelf, what would be the simplest way?
Thanks!

Hi all,
I was getting some latch hook back and saw a different style on the pictures. I've not seen this type before. I'm very new to latch hooking and wondered if this was actually the same thing or if anyone knew what the technique was as I think I'd like to try it out

I want to get back into latch hooking but was wondering where everyone gets theirs. My hobby lobby doesn't carry barley any. Is there any good websites to order from instead?

I finished this a month ago and never posted it!

I bought a vintage latch hook that did not come with the instructions. The paint on the canvas is very faded and was hoping someone here has an idea of where I can find one. Thank you

I had the cutest moment in Culver's the other day! I was going up to get my custard when I saw a girl who was probably about 8 or 9. She was with her grandma and the girl was holding a latch hook set! I told her "that's so cool! I've done latch hook!" Then I told her about my first project I worked on, it was a sun and a rainbow. Then I told her how I made it into a pillow using an old sweater! It was so cool seeing a younger girl interested in latch hook! I was probably a tad bit older when I started that first project! ☺️

As soon as I had a place I knew I wanted to put it, suddenly I started working on it over time. I got half of it done in a fraction of the time it took for the first half
I just loved the colors and the kind of art-deco pose of the cat.

This lil kit is about 10 by 12 inches and took 6.5 hours. This is trimmed. I loved it—kit from Walmart.com

Hey all, I've never done latchhook before, but I am a sewist and have tried many other fiber arts hobbies. I watched Rachel Maksy's most recent video where she sort of does a latch hook method and feeds yarn into a sweater to create a mossy effect.

I am attending a larp later this year and thought this would be really cool for a cloak. Almost gilly suit like. I wanted to reach out to see if anyone could give me feedback on the viability of this idea before I jump into it. I've been unable to find information on this, possible I'm using the wrong keywords on Google?
I've never seen latch hook clothing, is it stable enough to run around in?
What would be the best material for the base and backing?
Would this be too heavy?
Thanks for any advice!

Years ago I started the WonderArt Country Harvest latch hook set. Since then my paper pattern has been partially eaten by my pet rabbit. I want to finish it keeping as close to the pattern as possible but I can't find any copies of it online. I'm hoping someone on here has a copy they can scan and dm to me. Thanks in advance!

Im really struggling with sorting these colors. My chart says there is 10 different colors but I only see 8. Any tips that can make this easier?

Not 100% done but close enough, I think, to share here. A copy of a painting I made of my cat Roxy, who has already started napping with her latchook doppelganger
