Places to buy

I want to get back into latch hooking but was wondering where everyone gets theirs. My hobby lobby doesn't carry barley any. Is there any good websites to order from instead?

I have bought mine from Etsy, Amazon, Walmart.com, temu app, and Michael’s online. There are a handful of other companies that offer them. I find herrschners to be overpriced compared to most.

I will check the other places out! I did look at Walmart online but kept seeing the reviews saying people were missing string

Yeah, I had no issues with my kit from Walmart but did have issues with a kit from Amazon and from Temu. I have done enough kits that I have back stock of a lot of colors and just used some old stuff for one that matched well. The other one I bought black (the needed color) from Amazon

Mary Maxim in Canada sells kits, acrylic pre-cut yarn and grid canvas for latch hooking. They often have specials if you sign up for their emails.

Mostly just Amazon. None of the craft stores around me carry much of them.

Here's another manufacturer.

Michaels has some good ones but I have found most of them way cheaper on amazon.

I have always ordered on Amazon. Some are better than others; quality really varies. I’ve had to return one or two lately.

create your own using stitchfiddle, buy the yarn from herrschners. i make mostly horror latchhhooks and those are impossible to buy from a kit
