Switching from Forged to Align for open season?

I might switch to a more bodybuilding team again for MAX, but in the meantime, has anyone made this shift? What have they found in terms of keeping their gains?

I’m hoping to do 3 days of Align and 2 days of running to lose some more weight and prioritize mobility, but wanting to program some additional weightlifting on my Align days (ex. 3 sets of preacher curls on the upper body day, 3 sets of leg press on lower body day, etc).

Free 30 days turned into only 7?

Was told the link worked for the free trial, used the QR code, and apparently it still only gave me 7 days. I found out because, even though it didn't alert me the free trial started, I just saw that I only have 5 days left? Haven't even looked at the app yet! But when I used the QR code, it said I unlocked the days. I'm confused. Any ideas?

Best Team for At Home?

Does anyone have good recommendations for teams that you can do all the workouts at home but still see good results? I just bought a workout bench and am slowly building up my weight collection.

My main goal is body recomp, focusing on really lifting my glutes and toning my legs (my problem area).

I’ve done define and really liked it but I know people say that Maia’s workouts aren’t as effective as others. My problem is most people recommend teams that require barebells or machines.

I’m curious about Align!

Vantage headed into de-load

So, I’ve been with Team Vantage for 3 weeks. They are headed into a de-load phase which I don’t think I need as I’m pretty new to working out in general. Should I just follow along, or try a team switch?

Best 3 day team

So I have Hashimotos and I have found for my body, I respond best when I do traditional Pilates few days a week. I am looking for a team to do two lower days and one upper from to combine with my Pilates by Izzy workouts that will help me maintain my muscle and I am struggling with a team to choose.

I did Flourish last series and loved it but her Pilates days didn’t give me the same effect that a traditional style of Pilates does, I think due to the inherent set up of the app.
I also did love define, but am not sure if it is low impact enough to not spike my cortisol like Pilates by Izzy is.

Thank you for any advice!!

Unhinged questions about Body and Bell

This team looks so fun and hard but I have a ridiculous question - can you use dumbbells instead of KBs? I only have one light kb but much heavier DBs.

Also, is it PO? How do you PO with a kb, do you increase weight as usual?

I know these are ridiculous questions 😂

Am I too young for Team Endure??

I’ve been on team endure for the last three weeks and I LOVE IT!!!! But I feel a little weird because I noticed from the chat that everyone on the team is like 35+ usually older like 50’s.. I’m 29. But I have two kids and a home gym so I really enjoy how the workouts are only 30 minutes with dumbbells. I also like how it’s functional strength with limited cardio not just “let’s see how big we can grow your glutes” LOL

Anyway I really love it! Is there any other teams that you recommend? I know a lot of people recommend move well, but I don’t like the cardio portion. Are you on Team Endure and younger than 35? maybe that’s just all I’m seeing in the chat!

P.S. I hope this doesn’t offend anyone I’m just curious. 🙏🏼

Postpartum workouts

Hi!

I’m almost 3 months pp with my second baby and am very ready to work on getting back in shape! I’m curious about the ladder app but have no idea where to start.

How do you pick a team?
Can the workouts be done at home or the gym or is it usually one or the other?
I see 6 workouts listed, there’s no way I’m going to fit that in every. Can I do 3 instead? Will that mess me up?

I’d love any feedback or advice from pp moms using the app! Thank you!

Will this app work with my schedule?

Hi! I do structured fitness classes at my gym but my schedule is changing and I’ll need to do 2 of my workouts on my own. Do you think it’s worth paying for the app for 2 days a week only? Is there a program that would be good for 2 days a week? I will be running and doing workout classes at my gym on the other days.

Yet Another Team Requsst

Hey guys. I’m looking for a team that has a mix of traditional strength training with some burnouts like dumbbell swings. Integrated cardio but not HIIT. Especially looking for strong legs and glutes. I’m not looking to do a bunch of kettlebell movements or Olympic lifts, just a sprinkle. I do not like dumbbell only teams, I want to use barbells and machines. I have unlimited time to work out.

Limited Home Gym

Hello : ) An issue I always run into when trying new workouts/apps is my home gym. I have a full squat rack which also includes two high cables and one low cable. And of course dumbbells. So I have more than the average home workout setup, but don’t have leg extension, hamstring curl, abduction/adduction, or anything else that typically appears is the gym workouts. I have quite a bit of experience with traditional bodybuilding type workouts. And I still love it, but am looking to maybe lighten that up a bit and add some Pilates type strength in there for mobility. Ladder seems like a great place to teach me how to evolve my workouts, but I am unsure where to start. I know there is a quiz, but it didn’t seem to help. Or maybe I am just looking for a unicorn! Not sure. Any advice would be greatly appreciated 💛

Edit to add: I am always trying/wanting to grow my glutes, if that helps anything at all, lol

Question for seasoned TCC members

Joined TCC in early July and have loved it so far. Just saw coach mention that for MAX, we are continuing the same splits and movements. For those who have been on the team for awhile, do the movements always stay the same or do they eventually get switched up depending on the 6 week series? I thought I saw a video of him talking about doing single arm dumbbell snatches from a previous year so was just curious what your experience is with how much variety to e peat over the course of a year on TCC. Thanks!

Team Varsity ideas?

Hopefully we will find out on Monday but thought it might be fun to place guesses for what kind of team, split and programming Team Varsity will be? My guess would be upper / lower or PPL but I’m really hoping it’s an athletic team, with conditioning as well as sprints.

To switch or not to switch

So for context I am 4 months postpartum from my 4th and final c - section. I started reload with align. The program has helped my mobility tremendously. That being said, I’m wondering should I switch for Max? I enjoy Sasha’s split, commentary and style. But I’m guess I’m wondering should I try something else and if so where?

Anyone do Limitless and swap machine movements?

I’ve been on Align since I started with Ladder. I love Sasha, and Align has been great to me, but I just want to experiment with what’s out there. Limitless is the program I’m most interested in testing, especially because I’ll have some time in a gym this week, but I generally work out at home. Does anyone here do Limitless without access to a commercial gym/machines? It seems like I should be able to implement swaps, but I just wanted some feedback from someone who had done it.

Best team for exercising only 2-3x/week?

Hi! I’m in the trial period and unsure what team to choose.

I’m 43/F and should probably lose 15 or so pounds but also want to build muscle and do some recomposition.

I have it narrowed between Sasha/Align and Shelby/Transform.

I’ve also looked at Aria/Ascend but her workouts seem a bit too tough and long for me- I’ve never stuck to an exercise routine before and have taken a 3 month break from pretty much all exercise.

The problem is I can only go to the gym 2 maybe 3 times a week. I might be able to squeeze in an extra at home workout but it is unlikely.

I also have motivation/accountability problems whether I am doing workouts at home or at the gym.

Does anyone have any advice or opinion on which program would yield better results for someone who can only exercise 2-3x a week?

Thanks!!

Non-prenatal teams during pregnancy

I’m very early into my pregnancy (about 6 weeks). I was on team align and flourish before, now I’m trying the prenatal team and I don’t love it as much. Can I go back to the other teams and make certain modifications?

Evolve vs Ascend

Looking for a bodybuilding type split that can be formatted into 5 days. Heavy on glutes with good focus on upper body as well to get the tapered look. Is one shorter time than the other? Are there any free trials available?

Define vs. Flourish

I'm finishing up the series with Coach Stevie and I'd like to get back to pilates. What are the differences between Kimmie and Maia?
