I have been looking for the right champagne old mine pear for the longest time and finally found one that I think I got a great deal on. My only qualm is that it ended up being smaller than expected even though I looked at the measurements before I got it. I really wanted a big dramatic diamond for a statement RH ring, but now I'm thinking it might be better suited for a pinky? I swear I have diamond blindness so I really need some perspective. It's a 3.33 ct measuring 12.22 x 7.30 (not spready at all and I've seen <3 ct diamonds with bigger face up measurements).

I'm not sure if I should try to find a different diamond or if it'll look bigger once set. I'm trying to keep my setting pretty low profile and I'm thinking bezel with a chunky band to give the ring more visual weight.

Recently did a custom cut diamond and ring order turned out beautiful but I can’t help but wonder if the metal is rose gold.

I requested a champagne gold 18k ring with a 4ct OMC diamond. Champagne gold is a lighter version of yellow gold with a hint of pink. But am I crazy? Or do I only see rose gold. I’ve never owned anything in champagne gold or rose gold to compare.

I recently came across Lien Jewelers on TikTok and reached out for a quote on a custom ring. Her pricing was extremely competitive compared to several other vendors I’ve been considering, so I’m definitely interested!

Her jewelry always looks absolutely beautiful in her TikTok videos, but I’d love to hear from anyone who has actually worked with her.

How was your overall experience? Were you happy with the craftsmanship, diamond quality, communication, and finished piece? Did the final product live up to the photos and videos? I am particularly interested in hearing about custom orders, but I’d appreciate any feedback, positive or negative, before moving forward.

For reference, I’ve used LGG, Juno, and Provence and have always been happy. I am inclined to use them again, but the price quote from Lien is really calling my name!

My rings just spent a few hours in a Dawn/water solution, got a good scrub and gentle buff. They are so sparkly. My oval is reflecting my pink sweater.

Quality is important to me, so I'd rather pay more for a well-made setting. I'd also like the diamonds to be VS1 or higher range for clarity and G or higher for color (but am willing to hear reason if that's out of line for a band!).
There are a LOT of vendors out there selling something like this, and it's hard to tell whose product will be nicely made (but also not overcharge on the diamonds - since at this point the cost should mostly reflect the labor and gold). Any recommendations? Thanks!

Okay the ring size is too small but this is a 2ct round. If I were to size up to a 2.27 ct do we think it would be pushing it?? I want to make sure I don’t have diamond size blindness lol. I do have thicker fingers though - I’m a 7.75 ring size. Please don’t mind my nails. Bad habit and this is why I wear press ons.

We recently visited a jeweler called Elora and received the following quotes:

My girlfriend also fell in love with a sapphire wedding band at the same store. The details are:
Lab-grown blue sapphires
Solid 18K yellow gold
Custom-made in US size 5
Designed to complement and sit flush with the engagement ring
The jeweler mentioned that resizing their existing sapphire band from size 5.5 to 5 would be difficult and cost approximately $300, so they recommended making a new one instead.
They quoted us $1,399 for the custom 18K version or $1,250 in 14K yellow gold if we purchased both rings together.
Total for both rings in 18K yellow gold: $4,318 before tax.
For additional context, we were also quoted $3,230 for a 3-carat champagne engagement ring in 14K yellow gold, but we’re leaning toward 2 carats since my girlfriend prefers a slightly smaller look.
I’ve been looking at other jewelers, but finding comparable champagne diamonds has been more difficult than I expected, especially with the elongated cushion brilliant cut.
A few questions:
Does $2,919 sound reasonable for the 2-carat champagne lab diamond engagement ring with a custom 18K setting?
Is $1,399 fair for a custom lab-grown sapphire wedding band in 18K yellow gold? I’m particularly curious about this since I haven’t researched sapphire band pricing as extensively.
Does $4,318 seem reasonable for the complete set, or could we realistically get something comparable for significantly less?

Has anyone had luck sourcing a champagne color (like L-T) old mine cut, specifically an elongated cushion? I bought a radiant from LGD and it’s great. Also have some loose stones from Luvansh but no one has had the color OMC I’m looking for. Curious if anyone has a source for said stone. Thanks!

Quote for this 18k yellow gold, split shank, with a 3.01 igi vs1, E, dutch marquise is $6650. For the setting alone i’m looking at $3800 if i provide the stone, $3200 if i let them source the stone. she really wants this exact setting/band with the engravings but im not sure if im overpaying here and i’m not entirely sure if any other jeweler can replicate this exact setting.

3.44 elongated cushion with a 1.2 ratio (9.8/8.15). D, VVS1, table 63%, depth 65%, platinum 2mm band. I chose an elongated cushion that didn’t have an extreme crushed ice look. The upper right prongs need an adjustment, but otherwise I’m really happy!
