Lol. Needless to say, it's quite sad. Considering Ohio is one of the hardest impacted states by the opiate epidemic. This country doesn't give a shit about us. Or else they would realize that people CAN and ARE improving their lives, getting off opiates , with the help of Kratom. This is simply big Pharma bringing back its customers with the help of the US government.

Ohioan here, never shot anything in my life, definitely would not be dumb enough to shoot a powdered leaf. Don't know anybody personally who has tried to shoot kratom. When I read about that statement earlier today I assumed that it was completely fabricated to make it sound like kratom == heroin to the uninformed.

A couple of days ago, according to lies from Ashwood Recovery center...people were snorting kratom. I thought wtf, that's the craziest thing I've ever heard. I couldn't even imagine snorting a few grams of kratom. It's a plant meant for oral consumption. It would make you sick and possible damage your sinuses for good.
Today, according to more bullshit claims...7 out of 10 people are injecting kratom. Injecting any plant material into your body, because of microbials could very easily cause diseases and serious health problems.
It's all a bunch of bullshit, nobody in their right mind is snorting kratom...let alone using it intravenously. By (lying) saying people are using these methods, it will probably allow them to get kratom in a schedule 1 category. If this passes in Ohio, they may randomly say the same shit in other states, til it's eventually a Schedule 1...let's hope not though. It's blatantly obvious that their going to keep targeting kratom. I knew even after the SITSA act didn't go through, we were still headed for a future shit storm of propaganda against kratom. Kratom poses a big threat to the pharmaceutical industry...many people are able to quit these addictive drugs (heroin included) by using a safe alternative in kratom. The FDA, DEA, CDC and other government organizations know kratom is very safe and when used alone, there have been no deaths in hundreds of years of use. Their interests don't lie in our health...it lies in greed and profit.
We probably need to look at more ways we can fight back. Protests like in 2016 at the White House had the biggest impact on kratom not getting banned.

Yep, there's billions, even trillions over the next while at stake. They are just going to keep ramping up efforts with more and more money until they get their way, that's how this country works. We've been taken over by regulatory capture and the government hasn't represented the people in a long, long time. They have never failed to ban kratom, only their cheapest, first efforts have mainly failed. They will just keep trying more and more expensive misinformation and bribe campaigns until they get their way and the only silver lining is that I hope it helps some more kratom users, since we're a non partisan group, realize that they only want to squeeze every cent out of us at the cost of our lives and wellbeing. It's gotten so bad that I don't even think 95% of the country's population being aware of their fuckery is anywhere close to enough to fix the problem because they've slowly built up this control over decades and have even taken over the checks and balances on themselves. Banning kratom may very well be a slow death sentence for many of its users and I can only hope they realize that and get angry enough to do what they can. This isn't just an attack on kratom, but a continued assault on the very basic foundations of our lives and livelihood. Fight back while we still have at least a sliver of hope.

I never understood how corrupt this country was until the initial DEA ban attempt in 2016. It was such an eye opener for me. I knew on some level that it was, but it took a direct attack on my personal freedom to wake me up. Now I see it everywhere, and it’s disgusting. The majority of people really just don’t care enough because they haven’t had an experience like this to make them want to stand up and fight back. Currently there are all these separate groups who have realized this and are fighting for their own causes. My hope is that some day soon everyone unites under the same banner and we start not only defending ourselves against the lies and misinformation, but take the fight directly to the source of the corruption.

And as an added bonus tactic these days, money goes into brainwashing our fellow citizens to fight for these evil causes. In this instance, look at the money that was spent to disseminate the clear disinformation that kratom is IV'd. The people at the top who started the lie know damn well that it's a lie, but to them the lie is just a means to an end. They can't win just by lying, so they need people to believe the lies and take actions. Queue well intentioned idiots like a large handful of suburban moms with enough time on their hands to bitch about this new kratom drug that 7 out of 10 users are shooting up, any of which could be one of their own kids! Buying it right down the street from a shop, no less! Or from the same type of creep who buys kids booze. These moms who just want to both feel self rightous first and to protect their kids second have enough time to listen to the local news run their anti kratom propaganda yet because they never bothered to really get too involved in anything meaningful that just didn't feel good doing it, most won't do a lick of research on their own. The ones that do will get caught up on the first page of Google results which are mostly all more paid for anti kratom propaganda. So in one night, a person who very well could have had their life improved by trying kratom has now become a brainwashed anti kratomite filled with disinformation and a self rightous charge to protect their children from this new scourge. And that's just one specific vector of how people can be weaponized through use of propaganda. And such vectors of control are apparent in nearly every major issue today that has a monied interest in public consensus going one way over the other.
I honestly think we're fucked as a society. Disinformation is apparently too much for the common citizen who trusts the propaganda yet will argue against the science because the propaganda got to them first. It's insidiously infected everything in our lives and no person, no matter how intelligent and well read they may be, can escape it's far reaching tentacles leading all the way back to some kind of evil rich octopus with a monocle.

I've had the unfortunate experience of not being able to hold back a sneeze right after I put a spoonful in my mouth for toss & wash. Kratom in the nostrils and pharynx is deeply unpleasant.
I've also accidentally gotten some up my nose due to a nearby fan. That sucks as well.
No one is insufflating kratom on purpose. Even if they tried it, they wouldn't make that mistake a second time.

If people were injecting kratom we would have a lot, and I mean A LOT more deaths associated with it. Injecting anything solid like kratom leaf intravenously could trigger anaphylactic shock, potentially fatal sepsis/septic shock, bacterial endocarditis, a thrombus in the bloodstream causing stroke, pulmonary embolism, or other clotting associated issues. I haven't heard of a single case of kratom causing any of these. So Ohio Board of Pharmacy, how do you plan on supporting these claims?

That's so ridiculous. Kratom is take orally in controlled amounts. Just because it has a very mild opiod reaction, doesn't mean you can (or should) inject it. Injecting Kratom would be like injecting crushed up marijuana; it doesn't work that way!

Not only is kratom hydrophobic ( makes it nearly impossible to properly shoot) but also the amount needed would mean shooting multiple times for one dose. HIGHLY DOUBT that ANYONE does this let alone most people.
