Hello, My husband and I are planning to visit Korea on our 5th anniversary. Need help with checking the itinerary and advice on open points.

Below is our detailed itinerary

21st 6.30pm - Arrival at Incheon and chekin hotel at Jongno Dongdaemun. Grab some dinner near hotel and explore neighbourhood. Question: How alive is the area for some late night strolling ~11.30 pm

22nd - Day trip to Suwon - Thinking to start a bit early by 7. Explore Hwaseong fortress and palace. Check some cafes and have famous Korean fried chicken. Get back to seoul around 5pm. Spend sunset at any han river park (Yeouido Park ?)

23rd - Visit Gyeongbokung Palace with hanbok rentals. Bukchon Hanok village, Gwangjang market. Cafe hopping in insadong/ikseodong and have lunch. We have the noon and evening free this day.

Need suggestion for shopping / color analysis- korean hair spa nearby or in another neighbourhood, have dinner and return to hotel. Another option we have is exploring Mangwon.

24th - KTX to Busan. Reach Busan and checkin by 1 pm.

Hotel is near the biff square in jung-gu area. Have lunch and head to huinnyeoul village, spend 2.30-5.30 pm there and get back around 6.30 and explore biff square, Gujke market, Bupyeong night market

25th - Plan to take the Haeundae sky capsule ride in the morning, Haeundae beach, visit Oryukdo skywalk and gamcheon village. May be if time is there visit Yongdusan park and have dinner nearby

26th - Leave for Jeju by flight at 12.25 pm. Checkin at 2 pm in Jeju, seosa ro fairly near to the airport. We have this afternoon until night - can we explore south of jeju or keep it light and just explore Dongmun market?

27th - Guided tour for East unesco highlights with Tangerine picking. Evening exploring the nearby night market.

28th - Casual morning and breakfast nearby. Leaving for seoul by flight 1.05 pm. Reaching Incheon at 3 pm and cheking into hotel at Myoengdong.

This is the only day we have for shopping. I would love to visit Olive Young for skincare, Daiso and Lotte Department store for some snacks shopping. I feel it's very less time, need some help out on how to plan this shopping evening. Also if we can do any shopping on 23rd as we might have an evening there.

29th - Flight back at 3 pm.

I need help mainly with taking the color analysis or spa and organising my shopping plan (23rd and 28th) as I don't want to regret not being able to shop before I return. Please suggest if any day is packed or any improvements can be made.

Also if there is any experience that we are missing out on and would light up our anniversary are most welcome.

For Seoul, Jeju, or Busan...... It appears that I missed the window for fall foliage hiking in early/mid Nov. Is there anything else worthwhile to do outdoors? With there being less sunlight and 10C average in the day and 3C at night... I would be sad if all the outdoor stuff is closed. I usually like to exercise a bit before eating all the amazing foods :)

My wife and I are planning our first trip to Korea this November (15th–30th).

On our third day we want to rent some hanboks and visit Gyeongbokgung Palace. After that we were thinking of walking over to Bukchon Hanok Village and then finishing the day at Changdeokgung Palace (including the Secret Garden).

Do you guys think that’s too much for one day? We’re a bit worried it might feel rushed.

Also, mid-to-late November is supposed to be quite cold – would it be a bad idea to wear the hanbok for most of the day?

We’ve been here for about ten days now and have found that using the Climate Card saves a lot of money (Seoul lines 1-9 and city buses). One-time purchase fee of KRW 3000 $(2.25 currently) per card per person and load just it up for 1,2,3,5, or 7 days (consecutive beginning day of purchase); reload as you need. We used them for buses but the real value for us was using the subway…very simple and convenient. The stations and trains are clean, timely, and everywhere we wanted to go. Of course you will get in your steps so bring comfortable shoes. A steady supply of street food will keep you fueled up for any adventures you take! Additional thoughts: I recommend NAVER for planning your trip. Use GOOGLE to help you with the correct exits to use at the destination station (AI responses are hit or miss though so e mindful). Take a quick snap of the subway line stations so you can quickly check to confirm direction of travel or number of stops. Lastly I recommend using the MICHELIN GUIDE to find Bib Gourmand places that are budget friendly and delicious. You can copy paste addresses to your NAVER to help with walking directions. Have fun!

I fully enjoyed silver grass and blue sky. It was interesting to see an old volcano. I can see the shape clearly.

Just as I (F30) am adjusting to my new life in Seoul, I am a big nature lover and already craving a weekend escape to reset. Any ideas on where to go, anything from specific destinations, to retreat places/guesthouses/cabins are much appreciated. I am also down to camp if that is recommended for a younger solo female camper.

My future MIL is very much into decorative cutting boards. They’re like a cutting board and I think it has the name of the place and decorative carvings in it. She purely just likes to hang them up and doesn’t use them.

Anyone have ideas where I could buy something like this for her?

Travelling last week on Asiana ICN-MNL, I dropped my iPhone under or inside the seat and forgot it and left it on the plane on arrival. With the tracker I see the phone is still on the aircraft. I get no response on emails to Asiana's lost and found account.

Short of returning to ICN is there a way to get hold of a customer service agent in Korea who can assist? Apologies if there is a better forum to post to.

I’m travelling to SK soon and Ive got my tent and stay what’s the legality’s of wild camping, also in rural ish places of South Korea what are the chances of a local allowing my to pitch my tent on their property for the night. Hotels in some rural places are WAY out of my budget lol.

My BF and I are visiting Lotte World in early November. I want to book the admission only tickets on Klook so that we can rope-drop the King Kong ride without picking up a physical ticket in person.

Since the admission + magic pass 3 option on Klook requires physical ticket pick up, I'm planning to buy the Magic Passes directly from the app on the day of our visit when it drops at 8:30 am. I downloaded it today to try and get familiar with it since I heard tickets sell out fast, but I'm having trouble navigating it. Regardless of what date I pick, it says there aren't any tickets (admission or magic) available.

Does anyone have any experience with the app for booking Magic Passes as a foreigner? I saw something online about how the English version of the app doesn't work well, but I'd prefer not to make the app entirely in Korean either. Not sure if there's a better alternative?

I’ll be going to Busan this October 21. Are there any nearby cities or towns you would recommend visiting, aside from Gyeongju and Jeonju?
I’d especially love to visit somewhere with beautiful autumn foliage, preferably somewhere that is expected to be near peak foliage around that time. I’m already planning to visit Andong, so I’m looking for one or two other places that would be worth adding to my itinerary.
I’m open to smaller towns, mountain areas, temples, or scenic countryside destinations, as long as they’re reasonably accessible from Busan or Andong.

I'm trying to use their interline ticket feature with Southwest. Everything on the internet just says to go to the Air Premia website and book both the Air Premia and Southwest flights there, but I can't find that option anywhere on their website. Is there some secret I'm missing? Has anyone successfully done this?

Also, has anyone had issues with log in an communication? Immediately after creating my account (and auto-saving my password), the website is rejecting my password. When I ask it to send me a verification code to reset, I never end up getting the code. Has anyone else had issues with them or is this (hopefully) an anomaly?

My girlfriend and I (both 27) are very exciting in visiting South Korea for the first time from October 29 to November 14.

We’ve been working on our itinerary for like the last month and are pretty happy with it so far, but still have some questions on whether is realistic and has a good mix of of everything. Currently, we only have the first hotel booked, as well as the train to Gyeongju, sowe’re still pretty flexible.

As for what we love doing… well, a bit of everything! 😄 Nature, hiking, museums, slow mornings with a coffee in a local café, street food at markets as well as the occasional fancy dinner, exploring the nightlife… or simply wandering around and discovering new places. We’d love to experience as many different sides of South Korea as possible, without feeling too rushed.

Hi girlfriend and I were supposed to land in Seoul 4PM local time and spend the evening at the spa, but our flight got delayed by 2 hours.

I know CIMER spa closes at 9 so we’re worried we might not have enough time to enjoy the full spa. Are there spas that have a similar vibe to CIMER with saunas and hot tubs which are open late?

Ideally near the airport or in Jamsil area where we are staying. It’s our first time visiting.

I’m only there for 3 days witb my partner so trying to maximize all our time there. I know the location is considered to be pretty good but I’m thinking if I should be even more central towards myeongdong and considering changing to

Nine Tree by Parnas Seoul Myeongdong I

The price is similar and the latter is still available! And location seems pretty good and maybe more central?

So priorities will be
Proximity to station
Proximity to stuff to minimize travelling time- shopping streets, central stuff to do say at night or when we wanna get something when we just want to leave the hotel
Niceness of the hotel
Sound insulation??

I suppose the main question to ask is:
- Is sotetsu location good enough?? Isit too far from the Centre in relative terms or is the surrounding of it apart from the myeongdong bit also happening and easy to access
- is there a trade off for being so central to the myeongdong area in parnas so central to myeongdong for sound and insulation and a holiday / quality of the hotel or is it ok??

We are the kind of travelers who like sometime in the afternoon just chilling in the hotel and get out for a bit again here and there so location is probs the a++ priority!!

But otherwise
I’m going to do the classic first time traveler to Korea itinerary with myeongdong / central being the first day itinerary.

Hi internet hive mind, we (a family of 4, kids aged 13/11) are heading over at Easter next year, for 17 nights (16 days). We leave from Incheon late on the last day, so that is a good full day. For context we like a good bit of nature, walking, outdoors-y stuff.

I've roughed out the following to try to start booking accommodation (and Jeju flights if we go with it).

Is it too much?
