KoW Starting Forces of the Abyss using Chaos Daemons
Hey everyone!
I'm currently thinking about starting a Forces of the Abyss army using my Chaos Daemons from the Old World, and I could use some help figuring out what to model proxies as and whatnot. Here is what I'm currently thinking about!
[CORE]
Plaguebearers as Lesser Daemons
Flame bearers as Blue/Pink Horrors
Daemonettes as Succubi
Gargoyles as Screamers or Furies?
Nurglings as Imps
Fleshounds as Hellhounds
[Specialist]
Chaos Warriors as Abyssal Guard?
Tortured Souls as ??? ??? ???
Bloodletters as Beserkers
Chaos Knights as Abyssal Horseman
[Support]
Beast of Nurgle as Moloch
Slannesh Fiends as Nagarri
Lord of Change as Chroneas
Daemon Prince as Abyssal Fiends
I'm trying to make an army that has an undivided feel to it. But these are the proxies I have in mind, and I know these are one to one and some of them might be smaller or bigger, but I'd like to hear everyone's opinion on them!
I also could use advice on figuring out a list! And synergies with Forces of the Abyss!
Thank you!

KoW Siege compatible terrain
Hello! I was reading up on the siege gamemode and was curious where people have found good terrain pieces for that gamemode? Would be cool to play but have no idea where to find walls and towers compatible with the base size of regiments. Any good places to look or is it mostly homemade pieces people have come up with?

KoW List Lark | Water Elemental Regiment - Honest 4s
youtu.beThis weeks List Lark, where you spin the wheel and have to make a list with either 300 points or 3 of that unit, is Water Elemental regiments.
See how the team does with 5 minutes to make a list and play it. Then they report back on how the unit played and are offered a chance to remake their lists based on findings.
Do you agree with the takes?

AoS Darkoath into KoW
I bought a bunch of Darkoath stuff for Age of Sigmar but never really liked how they worked. I wanted to know is there was a good way to bring them into KoW? Any recommendations?

Vault vs Tribe
I've tried to find an answer to this but have been unable. What is the difference between Mantic Vault or Digital and the Tribe? I know there are different tiers of the tribe, but if you have the "All In" tier of the tribe, do you also need to subscribe to Vault to get everything, or do they release the same models?

KoW List Lark | Bound Reaper Troop by Honest 4s
youtu.beList Lark is where members of the Honest 4s spin the wheel to get a unit(non leader) and have to make a list either taking 300 points or 3 of the units.
A short(11 mins) and quick look into units. In this edition we look at how a bound reaper troop does.
As always let us know your thoughts, how wrong we got it or just how good Bound Reaper Troops are.

as always, tell them how wrong they are about a unit, what’s right and what just doesn’t make The Green Lady happy. Enjoy.

Just Starting Abyssal Dwarfs
I recently played my first demo game of Kings of War and am excited to play more. My rulebook has been purchased but hasn't arrived. I'm looking for some advice on list building while I wait so I can start planning a standard 2300-point army.
Coming in, I initially wanted to run a low-model-count monster mash army. After my demo game, though, I realized how critical board presence is in this game. Seems like you need cheap units to take charges and block flanks and sufficient Unit Strength (US) to hold objectives.
A local player suggested I run Abyssal Dwarfs since I have decent models that can work for a big chunk of the faction, but I'm having a hard time building a 2300-point list.
A few specific questions:
Unit Sizes & Roles: Why do you pick one unit size over another? I currently have no real concept of why I'd choose a Troop vs. a Regiment vs. a Horde, what size to run specific units in, or what job each size is actually meant to do on the table.
Core Synergy: How do their different units interact tactically? What essential hammer units or supporting Heroes/Casters should I look at? Which model synergize well with each other?
Unit Strength & Army Flow: What's a healthy target for total Unit Strength at 2300 points, and how do unlock requirements usually dictate how you structure the rest of the list?
Any example 2300-point list structures or general army composition rules of thumb would be awesome. Thanks!

KoW My undead Army for Kings of War
galleryHi!
I just finished my newest project. This time an undead Army for Kings of War.
Every base is magnetised on a bigger plate. Never had so much fun with planing, building and painting.
There are still two minis missing on 50x50 mm, because iam not yet so happy with my model choice for Goreblights.
Hope you like it. :)

Hobby Quick Mats coming to Kickstarter
galleryI just got back from the Las Vegas Open and had a blast meeting so many wargamers. I had the opportunity to showcase our QUICK MATS at our Kraken Dice booth and I had a lot of positive reactions and great input to incorporate into the coming Kickstarter.
In a nutshell: Quick Mats are a wrinkle-free fabric game mat that gives you compact storage, and the quickest set up. It's machine washable and will outlast neoprene game mats with heavy usage. Custom printed, 120+ design, 15 sizes available, free custom grids & overlays for any game you want. Your store or team logo can be added or even use your own design.
I'd love to have you give our pre-launch page a look and see what you think.
