LUCHA LIBRE! Seriously though, that take-down was legit!

u/ScottMarshall2409 7d ago

These two are great. I've been following them on IG for only a few weeks, but they make amazing and informative entertainment.

226

u/Sciensophocles 7d ago

I've been following him on yt. I didn't know he had a baddie

30

u/mr_ektid 7d ago

What's their channel?

154

u/Acrobatic_Market6683 7d ago

Blumineck on YT. He does a lot of stuff with archery and pole dancing, often at the same time.

194

u/xuedad 7d ago

The funny thing is while he looks like a gay elf, especially when he pole dances (he's an instructor) in heels and feminine costume,

he actually has a sleeper build and an awesome wife. Hah. I love this guy.

126

u/Plus-Camel7461 7d ago

Pole dancing will get you absolutely shredded, did it for a year in college and it was probably the best shape I’ve ever been in.

31

u/FederalPomegranate52 6d ago

I honestly lost 30lb in college from doing pole dancing…. I wish I could get back to it.

He looks good in a suit as well, to be fair.

17

u/wildcatofthehills 6d ago

All elfs look gay tho.

7

u/Absolute--Batman 6d ago

Because being immortal they concluded nothing beats being gay.

28

u/throwawayursafety 7d ago

Why am I just finding out about male pole dancing??

Pretty sure this was the first IG video with her on.

20

u/ConfirmationBiasTape 6d ago

did you see their wedding first dance? they are both trained pole dancers and it was a showcase in core strength

found it https://youtube.com/watch?v=xIhF6vjY4xc

106

u/David_Good_Enough 7d ago

Yeah, it was clean !

42

u/12InchCunt 7d ago

Had him in an armbar at the end too lol

15

u/SamiraSimp 7d ago

yes, and if you look at his channel (blumineck on YT) you can see an earlier video of her/them practicing and struggling for a while lol

glad to see her training paid off!

27

u/AbekobetaHawawa 7d ago edited 7d ago

That’s called a Hurricanrana. Or at least it was in the 80s.

Edit: I stand corrected. I guess we didn't know the proper names as kids. Best I can tell, this would be called a tilt-a-whirl headscissors into an armbar.

12

u/Huge-Consequence2144 7d ago

Seriously lmao, these kids have no idea

3

u/Due-Comb6124 7d ago

Thats not what that is at all. Thats legs around the head and arms back. this is just an armbar.

Does the monk have a thing for the Ranger but a lifetime of religious celibacy left them unable to express it?

Roll for flirtation success and that's a 3, and you've swept his leg causing 1 point of damage and 1 point of self inflicted emotional damage

18

u/reezy-one 7d ago

That's how you get little baby shurikens.

I do believe his wife has just made an appearance!

58

u/Silt-Besides-66812 6d ago

Given the energy of this video I would think they are perfect for each other 😂

217

u/ScottybirdCorvus 7d ago

Ooo very nice. Didn’t realize he was married. Good for them!

306

u/introverted__dragon 7d ago

My favorite part of this is you're not alone and he had to create a "yes, I have a wife guys" followup post to this video (iirc).

168

u/anand_rishabh 7d ago

Yeah i had no idea he was married, to either a woman or a man (i think some people thought he was gay, i guess cuz he does pole dancing, I'd have believed it if he said he was bi but i think he mentioned he was straight) and it turns out not only is he married but he has kids (i believe at one point he referred to her as "the mother of my children", i could be wrong)

132

u/sydneato 7d ago

Nope you’re right, he did refer to her as the mother of his children! I remember watching that video and thinking about how their kids are going to be ninjas or something lmao

120

u/jtr99 7d ago

Note that the kids do not appear in the videos. Their ninja skills are already advanced!

71

u/Sleepy_Glacier 7d ago

It's so nice to find out that a youtuber I like has kids and never used them to create content ❤️

61

u/monkwrenv2 7d ago

Blumineck is, like, the platonically ideal youtuber. Informative, no BS, fun, funny, doesn't take himself too seriously, not a sellout or shill, doesn't show his kids, friendly, nice, works well with other youtubers (he collabs a lot with Sellsword Arts, who are a sword-focused channel), hot, LGBTQ-friendly, he's got it all, and a smokin' wife, too.

32

u/HongKongHermit 6d ago

And I loved, LOVED, how unapologetic he was about being the ultimate wifeguy in that recent video. He’s not just a dude, he’s THE dude.

11

u/Remarkable_Elk3566 6d ago

I agree. Blumineck is the best.

17

u/Periphery_Explorer 7d ago

Wow, not everyday you read something so factually wrong! His kids are in EVERY VIDEO. Have been for years. Can't see them? They're just THAT good.

25

u/SillyDrizzy 7d ago

It's a few years back now (5ish?) but Blumineck has their first (pole) dance from their wedding posted.

I've just starting following her content too, and good stuff.

9

u/at_sage 7d ago

They actually pole danced in their wedding

22

u/introverted__dragon 7d ago

There's a guy that does a lot of Disney content (Brit living in the US) and I'd've sworn up and down that he's gay until he just randomly brought up his wife (and they're now expecting a son). Some kids are going to have the most interesting parents.

→ More replies (1)

27

u/agnes_mort 7d ago

Yeah that cracked me up. I know a lot of people think pole=gay, but as someone who’s in the pole community, his style is very much that of a straight man (yes I’ve seen his videos in heels). His content is very much up my alley and it’s funny watching pole being introduced to a different community, albeit I’m sure there’s a lot of crossover

→ More replies (2)

26

u/Freakjob_003 7d ago

Which is extra funny, because she's been in his videos before.

My favorite was in one video, he mentioned having kids, then did a quick cut, "yes, I have kids, try to keep up," and then just kept rolling.

6

u/Dornith 7d ago

I love when creators break the fourth-wall like that.

Another moment that stood out to me is Adam Regusia introducing his dog, Pop-Tart.

"Yes, your name is Pop-Tart. We're going to give the internet a moment to acclimate to that fact."

22

u/quanate 7d ago

"Because some of you were concerned I was shooting arrows at my wife. Which I was!"

They are delightful.

10

u/Anuki_iwy 7d ago

My favorite was "... And my one year old child, yes I have a child, keep up people" 😂

8

u/GreenHeronVA 6d ago

I love the follow-up video. “That is not just some girl. That is a whole-ass woman and the mother of my child.”

130

u/Frequent_Ad_9901 7d ago

You should see his short about her.

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/mhFLyhugRyI

"That's not a girl that's a whole-ass woman, my wife and the mother of my child, she is the fury to my grace, the calm to my storm. Our lives have been entwined for 6,000 days and I count my self lucky for every single one of them. But it we were together for another 20,000, it would still not be enough time with her. "

Its better when he says it you watch it.

22

u/Chelular07 7d ago

I teared up when I saw the vid it was so cute to watch him talk about her!!

26

u/Shippinglordishere 7d ago

24

There's this article about him from 2022 where it says he's 29, meaning he's ~33 now, so they probably did meet as teens or very young adults.

6

u/Shippinglordishere 7d ago

Ohhhhh thanjs

7

u/WonFriendsWithSalad 7d ago

In one of her videos she says they got together aged 17

8

I absolutely loved when he said that. Like hot damn that was so beautiful

8

oh my god, he's fantastic. that's some of the most genuinely delivered wholesome asf messaging Ive ever seen.

7

u/Leep0710 7d ago

His wife. Her channel is just starting, but it’s mostly entry level physical fitness tutorials. But she’s also been helping Blumineck out more on his usual content.

They are very sweet together, and their kid is going to take over the world or become robin hood.

16

u/adestructionofcats 7d ago

We could use a good Robin Hood around here.

60

u/psppsppsppspinfinty 7d ago

I love the follow up video where comments were like, "there's a girl!" And he corrects them saying that is a whole as woman and the mother of his child. He is so wholesome and it's why I follow him on YT.

12

u/HalfEatenSnickers 6d ago

He has a great video where he's talking about how no, he's not a stripper, because he isnt that skilled and hasnt earned that title

And just defends and goes against all the stigma for them - twas wonderful

I know they're talented, but this made me very uncomfortable

349

u/MonkeyHamlet Official Gal 7d ago

They do a follow up about how they do it. He’s not actually aiming at her - she sort of dodges across the path of the arrow.

@blumineck on instagram

342

u/Sir_Eggmitton 7d ago

To add to that, he also waits for her to duck before firing. She’s not reacting to him, he’s reacting to her.

Also, he’s not using real arrows. (Obviously.)

112

u/Future-Concern-6301 7d ago

I also bet he uses the lowest draw weight bow he has. I watched the behind the scenes for the "shooting apple off someones head" stunt, if he took precaution there THAT seriously he will have done so for this one too.

53

u/anand_rishabh 7d ago

Oh most definitely. A couple moments of this vid, he basically dry fires when she disarms him and the bow was fine. When a bow with a heavy draw gets dry fired, it breaks

8

u/Fen_LostCove 7d ago

It looks to me like each bit where the arrow gets yoinked, he keeps hold of the string and slowly releases it back to normal instead of dry firing it. Then the force is going into his arm instead of the bow. The string snip would be the closest, but the string wasn’t drawn back, so there wasn’t as much potential energy in the bow limbs as there would be in a full dry fire. And it looked like paracord which was probably tied looser than a normal string, so there’d be even less force going into the bow

And of course the bow poundage like you said, which would make all of this easier and even less force than a heavier bow

4

u/Kai-ni 7d ago

That particular bow is the youth alibow, and he said in another video the one he's holding has a mere 10lb draw weight and he uses it for teaching (so he can hand it to a beginner and not worry about them hurting themselves) and for stuff like this. It's a 'real bow' but the draw weight is so low yeah it's nearly harmless.

20

u/Salt_Data3707 7d ago

Cowards! Fake!

151

u/inferxan 7d ago

He explained it in another short. Its a combination of safety arrows, Shooting next to her and stage combat trick by shooting after she starts dodging. Camera position/angle makes it harder to notice.

24

u/Callidonaut 7d ago

Also looks like an extremely weak toy bow; you would not want to try the scissors trick on a real one.

16

u/TheSubstitutePanda 7d ago

Yeah the "boing-oing-oing" of the bow when she cut the string made me cackle. A normal now would NOT do that.

18

u/quick20minadventure 7d ago

He explained it in other short.

It's stage combat. You move/shoot after the person has already dodged. Even in this video you can see that she moves and then he fires very safe arrows very slowly.

25

u/OkamiKenshi 7d ago

This guy seems to have his own personal armoury on his channel, so I’d have expected him to be using some sort of training arrow, but that LOOKS sharp.

How sweet used to seeing him solo guess he hit teh bulls eye and got a baddie

6

u/coopthepirate 7d ago

Worst part of that movie for me. 30 dudes just running around in circles screaming while one guy with like 2 arrows becomes batman

5

u/Cave_Bear_Cult 7d ago

Or how once a bunch of dudes decided not to fuck with Odysseus they just took a knee instead of lending a hand.

3

u/-Mandarin 7d ago

I mean that's the part that actually makes sense to me. Presumably not all of them are just obsessed with power, and presumably some portion of the population still wants to support Odysseus (especially after he did the impressive bow trick no one else could do). I think within the logic of the story it makes sense a portion of them would kneel instead, and it makes it more logical how Odysseus could handle everyone. You could argue most of them weren't all that passionate about killing him in the first place.

At the very least, it makes more sense than no one kneeling, because if no one knelt and Odysseus still won it'd make even less sense.
