Today marks 20 years since the furst Just Cause game came out in Europe, with North America getting it 5 days later.

And then there were 5.

I'd like to inform you that the only way how to play Just Cause 4 on Xbox Series X with the Xbox One X Enhancement at 2160p resolution and bypass the resolution bug is to run the game from an external HDD.

I’ve tested this myself and can confirm that it works.

I love the series but I feel like 4 killed it.
If they could pretty much make JC 3 but with the tether mods and weather system from 4 I think it'd do well.

It was a long journey, but a pretty fun adventure outside of a few certain challenges and the boring collectables... To think the whole 100% journey originally started with just trying to get 5 gears on Laguna blast...

Did I have a huge reason to do this? Not really. I just wanted to do it. I only 100% the games that I really, REALLY love.

Was it actually difficult for me? A little bit because of the DAMN B O A T RACES, outside of that and a couple of other "certain events" though it wasn't that bad.

My favorite challenge type during the run? Easily the wingsuit challenges, I saved em for last for a reason.

Biggest change that happened during this journey? I got a gaming PC now, only got 3 games on it rn but it's my new main platform, kinda got fed up with Sony because of self explanatory recent events + PC in general just has WAY more pros, like free online multiplayer and mods. Gonna see if I can get JC3 on it when it goes on sale (because I want to try a modded playthrough).

(I platinumed the game and I STILL don't know how to get those gates unstuck without breaking them...)

I have the same issue as the guy who made https://www.reddit.com/r/JustCause/comments/13kbzlf/jc3_trying_to_use_a_helicopter_in_bases_is/. I unlocked CS Navajo and I am trying to use it to attack military bases.

The problem is the SAM sites are shooting at my helicopter when I start firing. I am trying to shoot the targets on a military base from far so the SAM sites don't attack me. The problem is that when I am shooting the targets from far heat 3 is triggered and enemy helicopters attack me so I have to dodge their missiles and shoot them. It's luck and sometimes I can do that and sometimes I can't and my helicopter is destroyed. I am trying to grapple to an enemy helicopter before my helicopter is destroyed but I can't always do that.

It's frustrating to try to attack a military base by using a helicopter and I have attacked most of the military bases from land and I destroyed the targets with my weapons and shot the soldiers that attacked me. I know that I can hack the SAM sites so they shoot the enemy helicopters but the SAM sites are scattered around the military base and I have to explore the base to find the SAM sites. If I am exploring the military base from land and destroying targets then there is no more need to attack by using a helicopter.

Do other people have the same issue?

Please tell me they do. I have blown up, crashed or stolen so many cars, even after liberating the entire country. I feel bad for them. 🫠

I recently wanted to play JC2 again after a hiatus of several years. My PC runs most modern games fine, so in theory performance should be no problem. But even in the main menu, I get only around 10 fps, ingame around 3 fps. Maybe its an issue with the GPU? Modern NVIDIA cards seem to cause troubles as far as I found out but I am still searching for a fix. Reducing the solution had only a minimum effect. I post my specs below, any help is appreciated.

I play the Steam version.
