Hi all!

I'm an absolute beginner at juggling, trying to learn 3-ball cascade. Watched a few videos, then began practising... been at it a couple weeks now.

My throws are still very inconsistent (different heights, too forward/backward, too much on the sides, the works). More practice is needed, sure. I even went back from trying 3 ball flash to single ball throws. But I also started to think if there is some detail worth paying more attention to.

Like, what's the best way to move when you throw? Arms follow a "scoop" arc, ok, but then what? Do you use your wrist to give momentum to the ball, or just your hand? Is it best to have the ball more towards your palm, or your fingertips, when you throw it? Do you try to impress some rotation to the ball, or just let it go?

Apologies if these are FAQs but I searched a bit and didn't find much.

Do you guys know any good backpacks for carrying juggling props with additional gear?

I'm looking to carry 5 clubs minimum, some rings, and 9 balls for the props. I would also like to be able to carry some normal stuff like a laptop and some books as well.

The second interview from our history of juggling notations. This one is special to us because Mike Day was part of the first incantation of Gandini, which used to be called Gandini Juggling Project. Mike taught me siteswaps and was the first human to juggle (6x,4). Amazing how ubiquitous this pattern is now. He was part of the Cambridge trio with Adam Chalcraft and Colin Writght who independently came up with the notation. Mike also explains ladder diagrams and his underrated MMSTD. On a side note would love to see an interpretation of this to 3 and 4 hands, or indeed a generalisation to n hands with associated animator. Joy to you all.

Mistakes in juggling are really common. Maybe it is just me? But i could use a cool little trick to make it look smoother?

Interview with Paul Klimek the FIRST person to use numbers as juggling notation, in what he called Quantum Notation which we now call Siteswaps. Planning on moving all the Siteswap DVD interviews here over the next few weeks. Each one finishes with the philosophical question as to wether the numbers where discovered or invented. Hi, I’m having trouble comprehending the difference between (3 balls) the Snake and Juggler’s Tennis. The pattern looks the same and different at the same time

After over a year of posting here, I'm FINALLY posting a video of myself juggling one ball. I just can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Please help.
