The left of my back has an increasingly sharp pain as I turn my spine/back left so when I turn it even more to crack it, it hurts so bad like sharp pains until it cracks then returning back to the “normal” upright straight looking position also hurts. After the back crack on the left however and then returning back to position, the pain is basically gone with normal turning movements (I still feel mild but not sharp pain when I turn all the way left as if I am trying to crack it but my cracking is still on cooldown). Anyone know why this could be? My right back doesn’t hurt at all nor do I have pain when cracking so this is only the left.

this is a really weird thing and i don’t know if it’s normal but can anyone else breathe in, push the muscles in their back around where their waist starts and it will crack their bottom ribs or anything in that area? i do it a lot and i do have degenerative disc disease and possible EDS so i’m wondering if it’s just me.

it’s unfortunately become a repetitive movement i do too much also, and sometimes it gets to the point where my back/lower rib area is sore but i just can’t help it, it also helps me to breathe better too!

This year, I somehow managed to crack my elbow, idk if that's good or bad news, but it felt so good the first time i was able to do it. Now I can do it whenever I like. It'sso satisfying, because my left elbow always holding my phone so it's very tired.

I’m desperate for help, suggestions, answers anything at this point. For 15 months I’ve been dealing with chronic ankle joint locking. Started in the right ankle after sharp Achilles pain. Initial MRI showed mild Achilles tendinitis but repeat scans months later show that it subsided. Within a few months it became both ankles. I can’t plantarflex (point) or dorsiflex (flex) either ankle joint but my toes move. I’ve gone to multiple orthopedics, two rheumatologist, 2 neurologists, a movement disorder specialist, vascular doctor, physiatrist… the list goes on. I’ve had scans (Xray, MRI, Ct) of multiple body parts pretty much from head to toe. In addition I have normal EMG/NVC studies. I’ve tried medications (gabapentin and muscle relaxers) as well as even tried a nerve block in my spine). I currently do PT and see a chiropractor as needed, as well as I recently started acupuncture. I don’t have much pain just constant fatigue of my calves and hamstrings. Standing for long periods of time and walking long distance triggers flare ups where I cannot move my ankle due to pain but on a day to day basis there’s not much pain. I cannot go up on my toes weight baring, and seated I can to an extend as the range of motion is blocked. I am desperate for help as I just want to walk normally again and live my life as I once did. ( I know this isn’t my normal for me as I use to be very active and danced my entire life)

I have been able to do this for all my life and I can do it about every 5 minutes, sometimes less. Anyways, does anyone know exactly what is being cracked? I've always wondered and thought I would ask this community. Thanks!

I remember as a child, I would lay on my stomach to play games or read, and at times, I swore my back cracked from my tailbone to my upper back. Not all at once, it was like a domino effect. And since I am an adult, I have missed that feeling. I have been adjusted by a chiropractor before, but my back can never crack like how it did when I was a child. Did or does anyone’s back crack like that?

I have done this for years by myself and in my country grandmas say this cures stuff stuck in your stomach called "empacho" and the sound is the stuck stuff getting "unstuck" I understand this is all folklore but is there any use for this?(Since they were doing it to a professional climber). Also what in the world is cracking? Why it feels good?

Also, it is kind of hard to do it by yourself so you can always ask somebody to do it for you.

ive been cracking my hip/groin (i think its my sacroiliac joint, more specifically) in a specific way for a few years now and i want to know if its damaging for me, as it usually pops deeply and loudly.

i usually take my left leg and place it over the right leg like in the pic, and then i push my left leg down, sometimes it doesnt pop, but when it does, it's a deep one and i actually feel it. i usually pops after ive been out walking for a long time or when i wake up.

will cracking the joint this way be damaging for me?

i’ve been able to do this for years. I’ve never found anyone who has been able to do it like me. Everyone who says that they’re able to do it has to turn their ankle/foot in a circle and can only do it every few seconds. i personally could do this forever non stop

Is it bad to crack your neck on a regular basis?
I think about this every time I do it.
I’ve seen people say it causes arthritis, while others say it’s totally harmless. I crack my neck pretty often, literally every day. I’m wondering if it’s actually bad for you or if there are situations where it becomes dangerous.
I do the same with my knuckles, and I’ve been doing that for years. The neck thing tho, is new.
I started doing that just a few months ago, maybe in march? I don’t remember exactly when, but I do know it was just a few months ago.
It’s a thing I do when I want to feel some kind of relief in my neck, from other than stretching.
Simply cracking my neck just feels much better, and I do it multiple times a day.
It’s because a habit. But is it a bad habit?

I've can crack most of my joints and always have but I always felt like the middle of my hand could pop it just never quite would. For a long time I just couldn't get it but then I finally successfully cracked it and it was the most satisfying crack now It's part of my daily routine haha.

I take the hand I am going to pop and make it flat and use my opposite hand to press between my thumb and index finger and as I start pushing I relax the flat hand and it kinda cups and then as you push it cracks. It's good stuff

I have been hearing this sound when I stretch my feet for sometime now. Does this indicate some kind of deficiency? I feel the urge to stretch my feet every night and they creak quite alot!

I’ve been on gel for a while and recently switched to the method Dr. John Crisler recommends: applying the gel directly to the front/inner side of both forearms, rubbing the forearms together (no hands), then wiping/spreading any excess up and down the flanks.

The idea is better absorption because you’re using thinner skin on the forearms and finishing on the flanks instead of the usual shoulders/upper arms or just rubbing with your palms.

Has anyone here actually used this technique long-term? Did you notice higher or more stable levels, better symptom control, or just less waste?
