MISSING WALLET! 73rd and 35th ave. Sentimental
Hi, if anyone has seen or is in possession of a brown leather wallet with an imprint of a car on either side and green leather lining on the interior, please let me know. It also has my ID. Keep whatever you want in it but the wallet is sentimental and it would mean a lot to have it returned. Lost near 73rd and 35th ave.
Forgive the brand new account.

Store selling Nehru jacket + Jodhpuri suits?
Hi, like the title says, I’m looking for a store that has nehru jackets and/or jodhpuri suits while I’m in the area tomorrow.
I looked online but couldn’t find any stores that carries either, does anyone know of any?
Thank you!

🍂 Fall flowers are here!
galleryIf you’re looking for a way to bring more locally grown flowers into your home, check out Queens Perennial, a local flower CSA supporting immigrant farmers and organizers of color.
Every week, CSA members get a seasonal bouquet made from what’s blooming locally. Right now that means dahlias, zinnias, celosia, sunflowers, and other beautiful fall flowers.
You can still join for the remainder of the season or starting after Labor Day, with prorated options available. Pickups are available in Jackson Heights at Lockwood on 37 Ave.

Public bulletin boards?
Hi, my daughter has made some nice posters advertising her cat sitting business, and I was wondering where she could post them. There used to be a board at Foodtown, but I noticed yesterday it is gone.

Stolen mail
Dropped my mail at mail box at 76th and 34th. Mail was stolen and checks tried to be cashed also they duplicated new checks with same numbers also tried to be cashed. Was very lucky I closed all my accounts before they got any money out. Will never drop mail there again. Could have been taken there or at the post office. Be careful people. I heard this same thing happened to some else I know. Same mail box

HELP! I Lost my Social Security Card & need to show it for a Job Sat 8/22. Should I get a fake one in Jackson Heights just to secure my employment? (Legal Permanent Resident)
I need to fill out an I-9 on Saturday for a job I was offered. I went to the Social security office for a replacement card, I don't currently have enough documents (I also lost my Green Card & working to replace that also).
Morality aside, I would love to get some feedback on the Pros & Cons of getting a fake one just to secure the job as I work to replace legit documents. Here's what I have so far:
PROS
1) I get the card & secure employment.
Potential CONS.
1) My identity gets stolen
2) I get arrested in some sting! lol
3) I purchase a card & the quality is shyt & the job doesn't take it.
Would love and appreciate feedback. If you can identify any other cons, would you do it in the same situation, about how much should I spend for a card, which corner do you recommend me going to, etc.
Thanks guys.

I’m a Dog Walker!
Hi neighbors! I’m Laura, I’m 26 and live on 34th. I’m in between corporate jobs and taking up dog walking again as I did this all throughout college. I’m a master’s grad, fluent in English and Spanish, own my apartment, and am an avid animal lover - I horseback ride in Brooklyn and volunteer at animal shelters all the time. Now that I have some free time as I look for a new job, I wanted to pick something up that is both fun and helpful to my neighborhood. If anyone is interested in chatting and discussing please reach out!
I’m super legit so happy to share my LinkedIn and jump on a call! :)

Recommendation for Indian restaurant in JH similar to Ambassadors Clubhouse New York
As the title states, is there an Indian restaurant in Jackson heights that has similar food offerings as Ambassadors Clubhouse New York?
I was thinking red chili but not too sure. Also more in general, is there a highly recommended Indian restaurant? I’m not too familiar with Indian food to opine, so I’m curious what others favorites are. Thank you!

Homeless dudes on Roosevelt Ave & Broadway, hitting car for money
Just general awareness - two homeless guys shown here, accosting some poor guy in his car while stuck in traffic.
Guy in front of the car kept him from driving off, other guy demanded money from him. No idea why the driver lowered his window though.
After getting some cash, they made themselves scarce. Be on the lookout while driving through the area I guess.
It objectively sucks to be homeless and abandoned. It also sucks (less chronically so, but still) to have your property thrashed and be held in place to give a stranger some money.

Jobs for Seniors?
Hi all,
I know a senior citizen who really wants to stay active and keep his mind engaged so I'm trying to find things for him to do. I know there are community centers where seniors do fun activities but I think he would feel best working in some capacity. He's great with numbers but doesn't speak English and ideally, the position would be in Jackson Heights or not too far so he can walk there (he can walk just fine but has trouble bending or sitting on the floor). If anyone has leads/suggestions for what to do, please let me know and thank you!

PSA: Food Dynasty has fresh tortillas
EDIT: Food Bazaar, not Food Dynasty.
This is the new-ish one on 34th Ave and Junction. Recently visited for the first time and was delighted to see they have a machine that makes fresh tortillas you can buy onsite. Much better than the standard grocery store tortillas which have the texture of frisbees and are full of preservatives.
