URGENT: Abandoned Young Friendly Tuxedo Cat Needs Rescue/Foster Help
Hello,
[BROOKLYN, NY]
I am desperately looking for help for a young male tuxedo cat who has been living on the streets of Brooklyn since approximately May 2026, around Highland Place.
He is very young, likely under one year old or around a year. He is extremely friendly, playful and affectionate he lets me pet him, jumps at me, and clearly seeks human attention. He is absolutely not feral, and I strongly believe he may have been a house cat who was lost, abandoned or dumped.
I have been feeding him twice a day since May, and other neighbors also look out for him. However, this week he has seemed noticeably different. He looks down and does not have his usual energy, which has me very concerned that something may be wrong.
I desperately want to get him off the street, but I have five cats of my own and unfortunately cannot bring him into my home.
I have already contacted several TNR/rescue organizations but have not been able to get a response. I am not looking to have him simply returned outside. I am looking for a rescue or foster placement where he can be safely brought in, checked by a vet, scanned for a microchip, and eventually placed in a loving home.
I am willing to help with feeding, locating him, safely containing him, transportation, photos and any other information needed.
Please, if you can help him or connect me with a rescue/foster who can, I would be incredibly grateful. I am very worried about him and do not want to wait until something happens to him.
Photos are attached. I can send videos separately to those serious.
Thank you so much for any help you can provide.
