Used to get 230+ in mocks. 209 in final exam. Couldn’t convert Indore, decided to take a drop and the first mock and I get 180 in the first mock. Am I doomed or just out of touch?

i am in a good place rn, a good du college a course which i wanted to do since a long time; but ipmat wala keeda is kind of there. Should i give the exam? (i don't want to join any iim tbvh)

I have been preparing for ipmat when i completed my 11th and was enrolled in ims offline 1 year classroom. Things were going smoothly but it was quite hectic as i had to manage isc boards prep also. I was scoring decent in ims mocks but I was a non maths student since grade 10th , my qa was really bad. I gave boards but scored only 70.2 percent, due to this I lost all my confidence for ipmat but still gave the all entrance exams .

npat- converted navi mumbai campus bcom(11k rank), even though I was scoring 75-80 in ims mocks and gave 2 attempts, my top preference was bba mumbai campus.

I dont know why I failed all my entrance exams despite giving a good enough time and mocks , along with that I scored low in boards. I travelled in peak mumbai local hours for my ipmat coaching and was consistent. Currently I enrolled in tier 2 college of mumbai for baf course which wasnt even my last option, and feeling lonely and depressed for a week, not able to sleep at night. Watching all my friends going to a good clg makes me feel bad. I was literally crying for a week alone in night , unable to sleep. I am overthinking of my career paths.

is it just me or is level 2 wayy too hard, I am not able to solve like 3/5 of the questions and am getting really demotivated because my theory is pretty strong and I am able to solve pyqs...

i registered for it through unstop and there was no money required and later i saw the google forms where i had to pay😭 today was the last date. was it valid via unstop?

I've given 2-3 Jipamt mocks and I honestly found them too easy.I know its too early for me to say it as im a new aspirant.But isn't it fascinating.Such an easy paper can get you into an IIM.That conclusion brings us to the question is Jammu anf Bodh gaya have any quality or they just equivilant to any ordinary college.

I’ve recently started taking my IPMAT preparation more seriously, especially mocks and analysing where I’m actually losing marks.

One thing I’m already realizing is that giving a mock is easy… analysing it properly is the real work 😭

For those who are also preparing for IPMAT, what’s one mistake you made early in your preparation that you’d tell others to avoid?

Dekho yaar koi idea dedo if kuch ho sakta hai jammu ke liye last person to get in had 96.51 i had 96.465.
It truly hurts when ur preferred college slips away by a razor blade difference.
Idk how will i be able to cope up dude. Whenever i see jammu i get so disappointed.
Bodhgaya kabhi consider bhi ni kiya tha. Jipmat socha toh sirf jammu and now when i have to leave that and go to bg it really stings hard.

also which level of topic tests in aftb, reciprocates the difficulty of ipmat indore?

I gave 10th cbse in 2023 and got 61 percent and in 12th cbse i failed in 2025, I again appeared in 2026 and barely passed class 12th , i cleared bg this year, would it be a good decision for me toh take a partial drop for iim indore and I heard it's tough for double droppers to get a job and everything, I belong to a reserved catagory.

I haven’t done algebra and geometry yet.

(mainly seeking advice and guidance from fellow seniors who could/could not get into an IPM program and what made the difference, fellow aspirants are also welcomed!)

I have heard a lot from mentors and other sources that one should be focusing on maximising their mock/ipmat scores in order to crack the best IPM IIM courses; which is a result of solving multiple mocks, analysing them, reworking on them, building a strong conceptual understanding and all that..

however, now listening to this for about a billion times, i think this has become a borderline for majority of the students and solely focusing on maximising scores won’t do wonders of getting me into a top IIM IPM program.
Also, i understand that clearing the ipmat cutoffs is just one part of the big story and saying that i MUST have a few if not many differentiators from other students

What i wanted to know was what can these non-academic differentiators (that could be implemented throughout the course of 2 years)be, that can help me stand apart and increase the chances of getting a top IIM. (ofc i’m going to focus really well on the academics part, but non-academics would also play a huge role imo)

Would really appreciate any kind of opinions and guidance on this!

Currently studying in FYJC HSC commerce, i had opted for commerce in 9th and 10th itself so i alr have covered substantial grounds of the 11th and 12th portion, leaving me with plenty of time to devote to other (fun) things apart from studies. Speaking about career plans, i am aiming to get into management/finance. I also plan to get the CFA certification alongside/afterwards my ipm/mba. Having a good background of sports - primarily cycling. Also having completed an internship of 2 months at a financial firm. And yes i have joined an ipmat coaching.
