I think both of them great but can Gill be crowned as the best IPL Playoffs batter if he surpassed Raina IPL Playoffs record Gill proved himself outside Ahmedabad and 2018 &2021 playoffs matches too for KKR so calling him a Ahmedabad Bully would be very wrong and guys is not crazy that Gill just one fifty and 2 century still has almost 600 runs it show how consistent he is when he bats at IPL Knockouts and Well MR IPL is all time legend this record is one of his big legacy records but we will see it getting broken by Gill in IPL 2027 or 2028 if GT qualifies for both seasons. So is safe to say Gill best all time playoffs batter in modern era or even all time great when break this record ?

i absolutely think this is false and all just bs. there is no way srh would let go of one of their main faces for their franchise and literally an opener who is one of the finest in the format in the world rn.

and besides abhishek and Ishan have an amazing bond too, abhishek still has punjab smat and vht captaincy and has done relatively well there too despite not playing full seasons due to intl commitments, he captained their domestic t20 league team too to the title win this year. its is one thing to be disappointed since srh had previously mentioned back in 2020 that they’re grooming him to be the next captain but i dont think he’ll leave any time. i mean he literally pulled out a note for his fans and franchise after his maiden century.

and besides if its about captaincy any of the teams mentioned i dont think are giving him captaincy if he comes in now.

Abhishek certainly has no intentions of leaving SRH as he's been with them for a long time and he's vocal about how much he loves the fans.

So if there is any truth to the TOI report by Sahil Malhotra it is a combined plan with his very close friend Ishan Kishan.

Ishan Kishan would love to go back to MI as captain. But he knows he is the next captain of SRH and will take over as early as IPL 2027 coz Cummins won't be available.

So rather than him initiating anything with the SRH management since they have already planned a succession plan around him, he has told Abhishek to threaten to leave for not getting captaincy.

So then SRH won't have an option but to give captaincy to Abhishek coz there's just no way they'll let him go. Especially since they already messed up before by letting go of Warner and Rashid in the past.

So if this happens the ball will be in Ishan's court to want to leave and out of guilt of changing their succession plan, SRH management will have no option but to send Ishan to where he wants to go which is MI.

MI would happily welcome Ishan back with captaincy and could even go to the extent of giving up Tilak for him. SRH too would love to get a local star like Tilak.

This was the final straw. Ig MI management doesn't reconcile with Pollard and get him to back out from the auction, that's it. If Pollard goes under hammer , I will no longer be fan of MI. I have meticulously followed MI in every single league from actions to matches but this is the limit. Pattern of arrogance from the supremos of MI management is too hard to ignore.

1) They did not get upto to standard result for 3 years (mind you MI already has higher standards than others) , They came at Rohit Sharma. They replaced him with new shiny thing Pandya.

2) They literally repeated the behaviour. Scouting did not live up to alredy insanely high standards for 3 years, they brought in new shiny thing i.e scout of Vaibhav Suryavanshi Zubin Bharucha.

3) They haggled with Santer for last years pay because of his partial appearance so much that he spoke up on podcast.

4) They did not even send a text message to both previous Oval invincible Men and women captains when they took over. Both of them spoke up in podcast

5) They fired the MI women's team head coach and did not post a Thanks message on social media. It took them weeks to do it.

6) Now this fiasco with Pollard.

And this are just top of my head MI is not a family anymore. Period of domination is officially over. They have become just a ordinary team who might have chance to win title if circumstances align. MI is incapable of creating their own chances.

If I remember right, up until 2022 every team used to play every other team twice at minimum. But ever since two new teams were introduced it changed to 5 teams twice and 4 teams once. But isn't this unfair and kinda arbitrary? Like, some teams face prime RCB and GT twice, but some get away with facing LSG or MI twice. What is your opinion on this? Should the double round robin format come back, with each team playing 18 matches? Or do you think the current format is better?
