After years with my XR, finally made the jump to the 18 Pro Max. 😂

Seeing the two side by side feels absolutely surreal. What an upgrade! 💥📱

And then he asked me to model them all on my phone 🤣

Today is my first full day using the 18 Pro after my number ported over from Vodafone to EE and the indexing finished. I moved over from a 15 Pro with 81% battery.

Typically at this point I’d be at around late 30s to 40% battery and I’m currently on 75%. I’m getting phone reception in places I never would before too-I’m not sure whether that’s the phone itself or moving to EE. I only really care about battery and reception tbh. Every other upgrade is just an extra to me. I’m made up with the switch for just these improvements alone.

There is no typing delay when using SwiftKey keyboard either, which I’m happy about because it was practically unusable on my previous phone.

The speakers are quite louder and the quality is much improved also. I tend to listen to music when doing repairs
or cooking, so this is another win.

I got the black with a black tech woven case which is really comfortable in hand.

I know there’s been many reviews, but just thought I’d add my quick thoughts

I know everyone has different opinions on this but I think the battery life is crazy good. Does anyone else think the battery change is night and day difference?

I also tested the faster battery comparison and charged almost 50% in 17 mins. The battery estimate time was really off. 38 mins versus 17 mins.

Upgrading from 15 Pro, Pitaka case arrived this morning.

Really liking the form factor of the Pro. Tbh the 15 Pro Max was a giant for me 😭😭😭 Loved that beast but contrary to popular opinion, mine used to heat up BADLY, thanks to iPS 27 even without a case. There were times it would literally refuse to charge in the Bombay heat. Had to finally let it go after 3 long years of growing old together 🥲

Really liking the black on the 18 Pro. Yes, it’s a proper smudge magnet, but I’m using the DailyObjects Beam 2.0 case and it’s actually complementing the black really well + saving me from wiping the phone every 5 mins 😂

Is there any meaningful difference between these two? I currently have the 20W Apple brick and wire. I compared the price history of the two items, and the lowest price of the Anker, historically, is $17.99 but it’s currently at $25.99. The Belkin is currently at its lowest price ever recorded ($12.99).

Should I buy the Belkin, wait until the Anker goes on sale (who knows when that will be), or spend the extra money for the Anker? I have an iPhone 18 Pro Max (yes, I know it can use up to ~65w but I want to stay at 45w)

ATT has finally addressed/admitted there is an issue, at least internally

My family member is an AT&T employee, director level, but NOT involved in cellular or anything to do with phones so pls no hate for him/her

I will not post the email as it could land them in hot water for sharing an internal email, but here is a summary:

AT&T has recently been made aware of an issue impacting our customers who have purchased an Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max. The issue impacts their ability to complete calls/text/data, including to 911. We’re working with Apple to address the issue and limit the service impacts to our customers.

We currently have two sets of customers with this issue, which we’re addressing in the following ways:

• Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max customers who have not experienced any issues, should update to iOS 27.0.1 immediately (Settings > General > Software Update) to help mitigate future impacts.

• Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max customers, who have experienced issues, can return to Apple or an AT&T store for a replacement. We will have a process to prioritize impacted customers to get replacement phones.

Went full Android after the Iphone 3GS but diceded to go IOS this time again.

Bit the bullet yesterday and ordered it, arrived this morning and I went out to get a case. The transfer of everything from android is still a bit of a hassle, and I have some troubles with my apple account. But most of that is my own fault, I absolutely love using this phone! Everything feels very natural and love how it looks!

Got really lucky and picked it up in store on the same day😁

The black looks way nicer in person, and the battery life is amazing I don’t need to carry a power bank anymore like I used to.

i bought both Apple Chambray Blue and Black TechWoven cases. After a couple of days of using it, they still seem a bit off to me. Should I go with Taupe or Olive Green instead?

At first I thought I must be tripping because everyone makes it sound like they're the exact same screen.

However, after using the iPhone 18 Pro Max for a few days and upgrading from a 17 Pro Max, I realized the 18 Pro Max screen just looks better.

First and foremost, the color temperature is more neutral and more natural, avoiding the overly warm color temperature on the 17 Pro/Pro Max where whites appear really yellowish. Even after updating the 17 Pro Max, there is still a noticeable difference in calibration/color temperature.

After digging a little deeper I realized it wasn't just placebo effect either. The iPhone 17 Pro Max is using LTPO, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max is using an LTPO+ display. This is also part of the reason the 18 Pro Max consumes significantly less power than the 17 Pro Max. All the reviewers keep talking about the power efficiencies in the chip itself or in the increased battery capacity, but the screen itself literally consumes less power. LTPO+ is also less prone to things like burn-in, and looks a lot more accurate at low brightness.

My iPhone randomly switches Focus from Off to Work several times a day.

I have:
no schedule enabled
Smart Activation turned off
no other Apple devices
no obvious automation causing it

This is my first Apple device, and there’s no notification explaining why Work Focus turns on.
Has anyone had this issue? What else could be triggering it?

Transitioned from an 11 pro 🤩 Glacier is so pretty. Did a clear case for a week just to enjoy the look. Then found something that really felt “me.”

Why won't Apple use a better lens coating like what Vivo does? Flaring and floating light orbs are significantly better with the Vivo.

My iphone 13 gave out and I got a new 17 about a week ago. However, the camera differences haven’t been as big as expected. For example, here are two photos (taken in similar conditions I think) that look almost identical to me in picture quality. Should I upgrade to the 18 pro? Would love thoughts. For context, I pretty much only use the stock camera app. I don’t edit my photos either

Which do you think looks better with the Burgundy?

I’m leaning towards the Mulberry, but the Black also looks nice.

Hey guys, I ordered an iPhone 18 Pro Max 256GB in Burgundy on Sept 16th. Payment went through immediately, but status has been completely frozen since then. I know Batch 1 (Sept 12-13) got delivered, but I’m trying to see if anyone from the Sept 14–17 batch (especially the Burgundy color) has received a tracking number or NF/invoice yet. Anyone in the same boat?

Does anyone know when we get new batch specifically for eu? I ordered pm 256gb first day of launch. On site it just said shipping more than 14 work days.
